I like this idea and think it should be added, as there is so much content potential here. Of course the basics of the game need to be added first, and then this content should start to be added and expanded on. I can see not only the horticulture, forestry skill tree, but also the genetics features about this implemented. I know they have indicated their will be pets, so there may be a animal husbandry skill tree in the future as well, which may be related to this topic.

That's what smugglers are for. To get explosives where explosives shouldn't be allowed. You know.. for "fireworks" and "excitement". Or... you know, a death squad in general. These bombs won't blow themselves up.
In fact, if people don't figure out a proper and safe way of black market delivery without sacrificing a toon in the process via ban, I will be thoroughly disappointed.

In order to support a varied market/economy, I think the dev should give players the tools to do agriculture as their primary specialty. The recipes need to be more involved than requiring only what we dig out of the ground. There are a lot of materials such as textiles, wood, fiber, medicines, oils, not to mention plant and animal based food than can come from this.
Of course in order to make this specialty interesting, it should be as in depth as mining appears to be. For example, say you come across a particular plant on some alien planet and it is discovered that this plant can be used to repair genes. That makes the plant very valuable but maybe it is exceptionally particular as to its growing requirements. It would take a skilled farmer to figure out how to cultivate it.
It has been said that there will be plenty to do for people who arn't aggressors and don't want to engage in combat. This could be one of those activities. Anyways, it would make for a more immersive environment for you PVPers to see patchwork farms while you fly over and away from the cities.

May not be related to topic, but I just thought that if people were going to complain to NQ that their ship was destroyed because someone thought it would be fun to do so, and they want their ship back, I should make an insurance company. Emergent gameplay solves the problem yet again!

Please add links on the forum page to the main website, similar to how the main website has links to the forum.
I realize this is not exactly on the high list of priorities for gameplay mechanics, however it should help with communications with the community and potential future community members. Forgive me if the link is somewhere on the forum web page, however I could not locate it, which should be good feedback in and of it self. I did not see a post on this yet, so my apologies if this has already been mentioned.
Looking forward to the Dual Universe experience.

For some parts of the world, the holidays are coming up for most of us. Just want to take the time to remind everyone to reach out to old friends, loved ones, and even strangers. Tell them you appreciate them and love them. Holidays are the worst time of the year for suicides, and sometimes all it takes is a phone call to remind someone that others love them.
Besides the sappy stuff, get drunk, party, kick your cat, and crap in your family members stockings. Share the love, be safe while traveling, and always bring your towel with you.

The Corporation relies on teamwork and structure to succeed, and thus operates as a meritocracy. The corporation is led by the CEO and a Council of three directors. Corporate assets are divided into three main branches; each responsible for a major aspect of Corporate operations and manned by specialists with appropriate skills. Each branch is independent to a degree but ultimately answer to the Council.

Objective Dynamics
Leader: Head Technocrat, Croomar
The scientific branch of the Corporation, lead by a head Technocrat. This branch develops tech, designs blueprints, programs systems, conducts exploration, and tech mining. Blueprints can be designed on contract to be sold to other factions, or strictly for corporate use.
Researcher - Develops new designs and blueprints to be tested and refined.
Explorer - Lone wolf pilots looking to explore under a Corporate Charter.
Programmer - Specialist skilled in scripting advanced systems with LUA
Objective Industries
Leader: Director of Industry, BliitzTheFox
The circulatory and digestive system of the Corporation, controlled by a Director who is part of the Corporate Council. This branch is responsible for mining and refining raw materials, manufacturing components and equipment, and ultimately constructing ships. While the Navy controls most of the Corporate fleet, Indi Ops controls most of the Corporate shipyards. Ships and equipment produced by this branch are first researched and designed by the R&D branch. Indi Ops can also manufacture hulls and equipment to be sold on contract to other factions.
Miner - Raw resource extraction.
Technician - Refining and manufacturing.
Engineer - Industrial construction/development.
Shipwright - Shipyard operation, starship construction.
Marketer - Promotes and sells products, conducts market research
Objective Navy
Leader: Stategos, Sgt.Toothpaste
As the military branch, the Navy is responsible for protecting Corporate interests from external threats. The Navy is lead by the Strategos, one of the members of the Corporate Council and the highest ranking officer within the fleet. The Navy controls the majority of the Corporate Fleet and draws from Corporate personnel with skills particular to any and all aspects of combat. These roles can include:
Pilot - Pilot specializing in either strike craft or larger warships.
Commander - Officer in command of a large, crewed warship.
Crew - Entry level warship crew, manning the critical stations on larger vessels.
Security - Infantry unit skilled in ground combat.
Combat Engineer - Field engineer skilled in building/repairing constructs in combat situations.
