Hello, I am a human who really likes building games, I play games like stormworks, the building games that take building to the next level. This game caught my attention and I now am a fan.

    @CoreVamore

I think your statement just summarises the point of player driven games.

For me, even though I am sort of a pacifist, I still want to be in survival games because of the element of risk. I think it is human nature to compete, to become better than their former selves (which is what gave birth to survival games imo). And the beauty of Dual Universe is that the skills and abilities are not restricted by classes or skill caps, but by each player's own learning capacity, which can be limitless in theory. You might be a bad fighter, but you can become one, and there is a sense of satisfaction in knowing that .

Also, in games where players are restricted by classes or skill caps, they are forced to cooperate with others in order to survive, even though they may disagree or hate those people due to personalities, moralities, etc. Life is Feudal: MMO is an example that I can testify for. People have restricted skills and they are forced to join together for survival, and eventually the mechanics of the game brought out the worst of people. The toxicity made so many good people leave the game.

DU, on the other hand, doesn't restrict you in that sense. People will find those who are on the same wavelength to cooperate naturally. Sure, toxic and domineering people would still be there. But in my opinion, they are of a minority, and the majority will naturally band together.

Where there's people, there's politics. And eventually, people will find a solution and a place where they belong.

I do believe we need a creative mode, which should be an eventual part of the game.

At least that's how I see it. Pitch in your opinion. God knows I can be so wrong sometimes.

Some years back, in Second Life in the BSG Pacifica sim before they got lawyered by Universal, I played a human trader from Tauron. I'm partial to the new Galactica design; I like over-engineered, variable configurations in my capital ships.

Space engineers mostly and Elite:Dangerous mostly. I was disappointed with SE's limited (And very time-consuming in survival mode) building mechanics. So I got to looking for something else like it. And, I stumbled upon this. Why I likely retained interest is the player-driven developments and faction gameplay. Ever since ED I was hungry for some real player driven politics and world actions, and I was happy to find a real player driven political sphere and devs that list a player driven economy/government as one of their main goals.

It was a pleasure filming this.
To dispel popular belief, I was not actually part of the cast. Despite any resemblances to the guy you 7th to the right. (I've never met him in person.)
I actually only helped in the lighting department.

Now a curiosity, in line with this theme.

In Tilo we have three co-official languages: English, Spanish and Esperanto, being Esperanto (an international language) the native language, according to the lore of this micronation.
Besides, in the specific case of Tilo, we say that Everybody is welcome for sharing from respect, peace and goodwill.
Those are, for me, the true requeriments. Decisive ones, really.

Agree on this, Best thing NQ can do is build exactly what they promote, a space civilization building game that has all the facets of civilization and noone can do it all but needs a team to get ahead.
That said, any alt that is a griever will have a less hard time to get the materials probably, but then it will be possible to link it to the main character more easily. We have been thinking how to counter this and for now just shooting everyone not registered as friendly seems to be the safest option, also free materials  just need to design a biiig scoop for all those shot griever ships

    Tilo's partners community expansion:
    Tilans, Tilkoop and Coi

The micronation presents new social and bussiness features, options intended to boost the benefits, empowerment and enjoyment of its partners.

    TILANS
Tilans are -properly- people from Tilo, meaning partners-members who are aswell part of Tilkoop (Tilo's cooperative), thus having the permission to reside in a territory or enclave belonging to the micronation, completely free of taxes. So, anytime they want, there they can build and own their dwelling, room, workshop or industrial warehouse. A tilan is also eligible by the Assembly to perform any position within the normative framework of the Tilo Foundation Charter. Being a tilan resident in Tilo is something compatible with being resident in the territories of other neutral organizations.

    TILKOOP and COI
Every partner-member of the micronation can enter Tilkoop. Being associated to the cooperative, allows any member to be recognized as a tilan and a verified and reliable partner for commercial, industrial and business activities of all kinds, inside and outside Tilo. In the scope of Tilkoop, tilans can freely establish the agreements they deem appropriate among themselves.
Within Tilkoop, tilans who wish may also be part of the COI (acronym term from cell-organ-individual), Tilo's own economic model, where in general terms, people freely and officialy agree on being mutual and preferential providers and clients regarding all kinds of materials or goods they may dispose or/and need at any given moment, at standard (or cheaper) market prices for each product. This is compatible with other simile agreements involving other individuals or organizations.

    Introduction to the COI
Tilo's Biokoop or simply Coi is an inherent part of the micronational culture and idiosyncrasy; it's the tilans bio-cooperative, which they can use to boost their trade and increase their income -individually and collectively-, all in accordance with the common good, based on trust, mutual help and reciprocity.
Conceived as a living systems system, where each part works -at the same time- as cell, organ and individual, Coi resembles the functioning of living beings or systems, both internally and externally, in interaction with other beings of their environment (of the same species, although not necessarily). In this way, Coi also reflects its efficiency, adaptation, optimization of resources, coordination, simplification of actions and, ultimately, efficiency and effiective results.

Dual Universe has come a long why since i first heard about it. I come from the world of Space Engineers and am super excited to start designing some kick ass star ships!

I have one burning question (that i could probably find answers to if i look). Is there, or will there be orbital mechanics in the game?

Alsan Teamaro reacted to Alteran in Hi there, nice to meet you...
Hello, please give me the chance to introduce my self to you. I will join the Dual Universe as soon the Alpha will start. I'm really looking forward to that day. I was playing Space Engineer a long time and now I'm playing and administrating one of Germans biggest ECO (by Strange Loop Games) Community Server. I enjoy playing open world and survival games. When I play a game I usually start quickly deep diving the idea, concept and it's gameplay. I love to build and engineer stuff. I have some experience in skripting and looking forward to use that in DU.
What I do not like that much is, military and battles. This stuff other players typically can do much better than me.
I'm living in Germany and I although have a real life. I'm happy to join the game once my kids in bed, which is typically after 9pm CET. I'm looking forward to find a community this "attributes" fits to. So if you think, hey this person would fit to us, please feel free to send me an PM. If you have any questions, please although do not hesitate to contact me.
Looking forward to play with all of you on DU...
