Posting in a carebears thread that are afraid to play a game that could be unsafe for them... Yeah pixels ships are serious business.
Sorry I'm a bit aggressive here but I saw that kind of request too much in games.
You don't want to get griefed ? Then play smart, don't be a console player, join a corp, don't fly alone, keep an eye on your scanner, don't go AFK or AFK farming because if you do then you deserve to be destroyed.. I don't know, but seriously I'm done with people who want to play a game as a farming game half AFK because PvP is too hard for them.
I agree the universe need some systems where people can start their journey without being chain killed. But... This need to be only FEW like starter constellation. Outside of it need to be full PvP because there is no honor to get rare resources if there is no challenge.

1.: The Argument the monthly fees are needed for the serverproviding is a lie. See guildwars and Guildwars 2. You buy the game one time and than you pay never ever again. And it is a popular MMO. sure they have this Decorationsshop (As long it is no Pay to Win Ingames hop I`m fine with).
2.: Have you "rentgame" fans ever calculated how mutch you pay for a feegame in total over the time? I doub it.
When I buy a game (a game in the 60 Euro category) I play it regulary 1 - 2 Years, and when it is a game with a dynamic universe (like this will be we hope all) sevewral years longer. Let me say so Blizzard and co are real happy for the over 1000 dollars they get from eatch of their adicties...... .
3.: Contuines developent is too no argument, look at all the (good) indie games out there. Starbound, Subnautica, Empyrion.... do they ask you for a fee or pay for eatch major update? No. So seems that it is not a "survival" needed thing.
I have a princip: I buy my games, I can play them when I want or not, and not only when I payed a damn fee for them. For this we buy them.
And yes yes I know, now you come with the Steam thingi, that you own only a uselicence and not the game... Who cares, 95% of my steamgames run steamindependend if I want, I have them on my harddrive installed, wha means even when steam does now disapear suddenly I can still play the most of them. And many of my games I get direct from the devs webpages or from store so.... This gargument counts for me not too.
You just don't understand how things works and act like a child that don't use his brain.
If you want to compare games, compare what it can be compared. Guildwars / WoW, are certainly NOT sandbox games. You should start to learn the difference between an MMO and a sandbox. EvE Online and Perpetuum can be compared because they are sandbox. Sandbox mean to have an extra power in the IT performances that cost a lot of money monthly. We are NOT talking about some shitty cloud nodes for making instances. We are talking about a BIG World cluster with damn LS network connectivity between the hosted clusters and the clients. There is only few real Sandbox and you know why ?
Because it cost too much money and publishers don't like it for obvious reasons.
The ONLY real sandbox on the market atm are:
- EvE Online
- Perpetuum
- Albion Online
So before crying you will not pay monthly just be aware about what I just said AND also do the math. DU want to have ONE big universe sandbox, then monthly subscription is THE ONLY WAY to maintain the level of expectation hardware and network power.
Also and not the smallest one. Monthly mean no pay 2 win, no paying DLC, no premium shit with golds etc... All players on the same level, no credits or ship payable by real money. Everything only with game credits. This is the best way to make the best games.
- Free2play is the cancer of gaming since the game industry have seen here a great commercial way to money grab.
- Buy to play is nice at some point but will never helps to maintain the cost of the server side and will be forced to add some 'internal cosmetic' for real money and/or premium (like Albion) that I personally don't like at all.
Don't be retard, monthly subscription is the best choice ever for gamers and the game itself.

WHO ARE WE ? / QUI SOMMES NOUS ?
Forged in the EVE-Online's flames, scattering tears and white flags across the universe, we were known as "[T C F] Tau Ceti Federation" an alliance of the greater RedSwarm Federation composed of GoonSwarm and Red Alliance. Back in 2010, tired of the game, we leaved and created FrogSwarm a strong community with it's own culture, first in World of Tanks then in Star Conflict, War Thunder, Armored Warfare, Elite Dangerous, Albion Online and many others. We mainly evolve in real MMO sandbox games (even if there is shitty moba in the list) because it's our favorite flavor. Our community has seen more than 2,500 members in 9 years and more than 400 active members.

INTERNAL ORGANIZATION.
Strong members for a strong corporation! Traditionally the corporation is communist. Players bring a portion of their resources, they pool in the corporation so it helps us to provide many services to our members. But also a 100% ship reimbursement program in case of loss during corp or alliance operations. Our goal is to accompany and enrich our members as we can to make sure they do not lack anything for having the hangar of their wishes and our expectations. We want to have strong sectors of activity, such as production, resources or exploration. Our core business "PvP" is costly, we want to give ourselves the way to practice it at all times and not be limited by personal budget issues or hangar.Des membres forts pour une corporation forte ! Les joueurs apportent une partie de leurs ressources, qu’ils mettent en commun dans la corporation, afin que celle-ci puisse fournir de nombreux services pour nos membres. Did you played EvE Online ? Did you saw any Star Wars related corporation / alliance ? No and it's obviously because it's far to be the best idea, at very least some fan of the movies will maybe stick to it, but not enough I'm sure because even fans want something new. Well anyway that's my opinion it's like taste and colors =)

I just noticed that 2 orgs are claiming to be the Galactic Empire.- EMPIREHOWEVER ! There can be only ONE Galactic Empire your both orgs have ~20 members and It's up to you, but you definitely should consider to merge for the sake of a real galactic empire meaning a lot of pilots to rule the universe.(ps: no offense ofc, in my opinion star wars theme is no imagination and you should try to find a real background of your own but ok why not) -

Je ne voulais plus poster en français mais vu certaines réponse je ne peux m'en empêcher !!! Certains semblent désolé que je ne m'exprime pas en anglais ! Comment ça ? L'anglais est la langue "internationale". Ha bon ? Qui a décrété ceci ? Le Pape ? Personnellement je suis fier d'être français, de notre culture, de notre langue et je ne vois pas pourquoi on devrait se plier à utiliser l'anglais. Quand je vais dans un pays anglophone je fais un effort pour parler la langue de Shakespeare bien entendu.
Cela dit par respect pour le modérateur qui est intervenu je ne posterai plus ici. Je continuerai à utiliser la langue française sur un forum français si celui ci est créé.
L'anglais n'est pas pour moi la langue internationale pas plus que l'espagnol, l'arabe ou le grec bien que nous devions beaucoup à ces derniers quant à la formation des langues actuelles. Quand je pense qu'avant on étudiait le grec et le latin et que maintenant on ne jure plus que par l'anglais ! L'anglais est parlé parce que les Etats Unis sont la puissance dominante actuellement, dans quelques années il se pourrait que ce soit une autre langue utilisée (le chinois ? beaucoup de jeunes apprennent le chinois à l'école).

Désolé je vais être un peu rude, mais ta réaction m'hérisse les poils.
C'est à cause de ce genre de comportement et de mentalité chauvinisme à la con que les Français passe pour des attardés aux yeux des internationaux. Dans ta phrase je vois pleins de problèmes. Premièrement, tu n'es pas du tout à jours ou tu ne vis pas dans le présent. L'anglais est la langue internationale depuis déjà longtemps et accepté par la majorité des pays un tant soit peu évolués. Le fait de le refuser et de gueuler haut et fort que du coup, tu ne fera pas l'effort parce que tu n'en a pas envie est juste pathétique et triste pour l'image que tu donne du Français aux internationaux. J'ai honte de voir un compatriote réagir de cette façon et j'ai honte d'être Français quand je lis ce que tu écris qui ne vole vraiment pas haut. Tu devrais commencer par te remettre en question quand tu vois que TOUS LES AUTRES font l'effort de parler une langue que tout le monde peu comprendre... Peut être que je devrais te demander s'il te plait ? Parce que j'en fou complètement si ça peu aider dans ton raisonnement.

It is because of this kind of behavior and fucking chauvinism mentality that the French are seen like retards in the international. In your sentence I see lots of issues. First, you are not up-to-date or you don't live in the present. English is the international language since a while now and as been accepted by the majority of slightly evolved countries. Denying it and yell loudly that, you will not make any efforts because you don't want it, is just pathetic and sad for the French image you reflect to the internationals. I am ashamed to see a fellow feel that way and I'm ashamed to be French when I read what you wrote because it's very low. You should start to think about yourself and feel concerned when you see that ALL OTHERS make the effort to speak a language that everyone can understand... Should I say please ? Because I don't care if it can helps.

Hello, non ce n'est pas étonnant et bien au contraire c'est sensé et logique. Ce qui est étonnant c'est de voir encore en 2016 des Français incapables de parler / lire l'anglais et de refuser de comprendre que c'est la langue internationale. Faites un effort en attendant une section Francophone un jour peut être, ça s'appel le respect sans vouloir t'offenser bien entendu.

What's surprising it's once again see in 2016 Frenches unable to speak / read English and refuse to understand that it's the international language. We are a French group but we also speak English when it's needed. Unfortunately, our group is a dedicated community to french speaking people and wont be open for the others as there is a lot of French that don't even speak the king English. I agree it's a shame and I'm the first one to facepalm about it but oh well.. It's not like we could force people to know it even if I would ;-)

Goons are our brosefs for life, we were a coalition back in EvE called RedSwarm Federation, as we were known as Tau Ceti Federation [ T C F ]. Since then we always stick together no matter what game we play.
