On a more serious note, I can see myself buying pew pew defensive ships to follow me around, since I'm not that great at PvP.

Actually this is a good idea.  If I can get a group of people to help me I would be happy to take this on at the beginning.  Obviously this kind of structure would require some fairly regular upkeep and probably a group dedicated to protecting it from the types that just like to see pretty explosions and the resulting rivers of tears.  If some established group would be willing to help initiate this project I would be happy to join forces with them.

I don't think anyone was really bothered by it because nobody thought it was serious, so I don't see a need to have to apologize to everyone, most especially because you are a new forum member. 
 
 
The issue was the precedent it was setting if the post was allowed to stay around on the forums. 
 
Some things can get a bit heated on the forums so needing to avoid words like "hate" and curse words, or attacking someone directly, are understandable. 
 
I recommend popping into discord to vent if you need to get something off your chest like that in the future, because I understand the need to keep the boards clean:

Until now, as we have a mature community, the need of banning people wasn't necessary. But it might change, if this becomes necessary. We really don't like to play the police, we prefer a lot to have friendly discussions about the game with the community. But if we need to do it, we will enforce the rules.

Saying you "hate" someone is already forbidden, even if you have good reasons.
But to hate people just because they want to play pirates in a game without knowing them, giving them intentions without talking to them, is sad and troubling. We sincerely hope this was not a serious statement. Anyway, wheither it was humour, serious, or just trolling, it's forbidden. We hope this is now crystal clear.

- Space Unicorns(NPC) You can trade gold for rainbows that adds rainbow particle effects to your ship.
- Space Museum
- Space Night-club where players can have drinks and talk all day.
- Space dogs. You can tame an alien pet for your character.
- Space drugs. Because why not.

I actually think that's a pretty cool idea personally  . Don't want to be surrounded by smelly folk all the time!

Fully functional bathrooms. 
 
Toilets. Showers. Sinks. Pretty self explanatory.
