We plan to be the premiere organization for those who enjoy a less than serious organization, with a cartel/mafia theme to spice up our unique community culture. Our goal is to always enjoy the game, and to knock over as many sand castles as we can. We are happy to accept mercenaries, pirates, smugglers, traders, builders, explorers, and any other play style in this game. Either way, we have a growing support network that anyone can benefit from. We also understand games can be hard to commit to, and acknowledge the fact that people have lives outside of the internet. Unlike the majority of organizations within Dual Universe who want to create their own space empires or industrial mega corporations, we wanted to create the first Cartel for the game and its community. BOO will provide many services ranging from discreet goods transportation, a bounty hunters network, asset security, and everything else in between. All of which can be purchased for the right price of course. We wanted to create a community in DU that did not take itself seriously, but could still be a powerhouse organization through economics, industrial power, force if necessary, and memes. We intend to help with the construction of neutral, free trade player hubs like our Project: Tortuga. Tortuga is our code name for one of Dual Universe’s first planned neutral player hubs that will be created on a planet when the game releases. That is just a small portion of what our community is going to accomplish, as we have been steadily growing in several other games such as Destiny 2, Path of Exile, Hell Let Loose, Overwatch, and several more. We want members to join a family of fellow, like minded internet nerds than just some faction in a singular game. Strength in numbers: Being the 2nd largest organization in Dual Universe, we have more than enough manpower to protect our own assets and those of our members. PVP: Want to bathe in the blood of your enemies? Did that space trucker look at you sideways? Just like to see the galaxy burn? We can ensure you that we will do all of that and more. We love PVP, do you love PVP? PVE: Huh? Industrial Powerhouse: We have some of the brightest minds in the DU community theory-crafting our industrial process’ for churning out our ships and construction materials to keep you busy if building and production is your forte. Ship Replacement Program: We like PVP, did we tell you that yet? While we will be blowing holes in other players’ ships, some will be blown into ours as well. We can keep you in the fight with our organization funded SRP program where you will be given a free replacement for your ships if they are lost/destroyed on BOO business and operations. Memecrafting: We live by the meme, and we die by the meme. BOO is not a democracy, but we place our members as the number one focus of our community. Everything our leadership does is done with that goal in mind, and if it doesn’t work/fit our culture or it just chaffs the community in the wrong way, then we find something else that does work and keep moving forward. This keeps our foundation strong, and allows our community as a whole to adapt to whatever it needs to adapt to in order to keep everyone happy and having fun. Groups like Vanguard, a private mercenary corporation, benefit from everything that BOO offers its core members without losing their own identity and autonomy. Pirates are not just thieves and murderers, though. We are farmers and miners and engineers and businessmen. Being a pirate in Dual Universe will be far more challenging than this profession is in any other game. Becoming a pirate will be a complete life choice, it will take cooperation and communication. Most of all, the Pirate lifestyle will take dedication. Do you have what it takes to dedicate yourself to the life of a Pirate? We will, among other activities, provide those fringe services the law-abiding folk don’t want to dirty their hands with, but do have need of- smuggling, spying, espionage, sabotage, information brokering, the opportunities are endless and limited only by what our clients are willing to ask us to do. This may include raids against settlements or bases or space stations or convoys for specific items or because our client may want that piece of land (or sector of space). Vanguard is a private mercenary corporation that holds diversity, community, and teamwork in the highest regard. Unlike simple soldiers or bodyguards who are designed to follow orders, members of Vanguard are recognized and treated as individuals working in teams. No member is simply an asset, each is unique in their desires and aspirations. While Vanguard the corporation accepts contracting requests, whether or not most requests are accepted is determined by the Vanguard teams and their members. Organizational Structure: The ranking system of Vanguard was designed with simplicity in mind. This was part of a conscious effort to eliminate possible confusion regarding power and status within the company. Many a person will erroneously expect us to shrink from a battle on account of numbers, or fear to draw first blood at the threat of ‘sanctions’. Knives are for stabbing, fire for burning and tears for spilling. We are not many – for the sake of which a slight to one is an injury to all. The Xchange is not a nursery, it is a path through blistering deserts and freezing depths, angels, demons - a tasking journey for an easy life. Here, we fight like there is no tomorrow, we kill for our fathers’ ashes, and we would gladly die over and over again for our temples. What we promise you are fellow members who will pat you on the back after every battle, be there as you step out of every Resurrection node and keep firing while you get ready for the next round; the strategy that wins you impossible victories or tactics that go awry because of new members. War is full of amusing coincidences and anxious waits, frustrating losses and inspiring events: allies that never show up, ambushes that never fail to surprise, blinding explosions and deafening cheers. Perhaps, the grit and gore of wars are too much for you to handle? Then immerse yourself in the aesthetics and musings of the best designs amongst fellow minds, or coordinate complex logistics and optimal transportation processes with likeminded hauliers. You are free to spend hours mining with skilled personnel, all the while talking about subjects you would be killed for discussing in the real world; learning a new language; sharing opinions and keeping one eye on the radar for hostile units at the same time. If your calling is to trade, do so with all your might – tense and in a haste to deliver a package solo, or taking it slow – viewing what beauty the Dual Universe has to offer while you travel in heavily protected convoys. Spend hours producing the materials, elements and objects the Universe seeks so desperately, selling at the best price to enrich your purse; or sniff out clandestine plots and live among the shadows, causing chaos where least expected, and dictating the tides of wars. Here, and among fellow members, you are encouraged to engage in what makes you feel alive. Silver Tongues and Poisoned Words “She advised them: ‘They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adder’s poison is under their lips. But, my lips will speak no evil, and my tongue will speak no lies.’” --Waves of Kings 67:2 We do not take our integrity lightly. The problems of shifting alliances and the ever-changing dynamics of power influence our choice to value our word above the obvious advantages. We are neutral – ‘less’ or ‘more’ are both qualifiers to the term. Without a doubt, Heimera has allies, but her allies have no say over her associations or generosity. Neutrality comes with more disadvantages than benefits – especially for those who desire to be true to their word – and that is something many people fail to realise. Our nature and our interests demand that more often than not, we may aid, defend, or assault certain interests of one or more parties in a conflict, especially when considering greater matters. The Xchange promises only this: Our ‘yes’ is a ‘yes', and our ‘no’ is a ‘no’. We do not deem ‘alliances’ as non-aggression pacts – of which we have next to none. Non-aggression pacts are treated as the highest level of trust we can express or receive; for which reason, we are cautious in giving or receiving such treaties. Doubtlessly, this Universe will be filled with tales of sly capitulations and noble sacrifices, which we are prepared to experience and come across; but much more than this, we are determined to find our way among lies and betrayals. Be careful though, a slight to the Xchange is rarely forgotten and will be repaid when least convenient for the offending party. The wonder of silver tongues is a marvel we will use many times, and many offenders will taste the venom of poisoned letters. We take our words seriously and we expect our trust to be well repaid. Be that as it may, our preferred language for communication is English. As a means of fostering inclusiveness and opening the Xchange to other players, we have a ‘sister-organisation’ relationship with the First Mining Company, a Russian group of players. Thus, Russian is allowed via the FMC. Other than those two languages, we speak none other within Heimera – for now. As disciplined as we are, we fully understand that there are moments in time when pressure needs a means of escape. Cussing is allowed within the Xchange – but only to a reasonable degree. We are mostly mature players over the age of 18, and we would rather avoid the responsibility of monitoring the channels for the sake of the meek, young and innocent ones among us. Within the Xchange, there is more than enough free space for both lively and sarcastic talk, but we closely monitor anything that crosses the line on a case by case basis. Words within our dominion are to be used to entertain and edify, protect and pacify, not to subvert and kill. However, resources are not infinite, and there is a good reason successful companies do not hire hordes of unemployed to toil away in their factories. An operating principle of the Xchange is efficiency: doing more with less. While this doesn’t mean we will be conceited, turning away new applications and choosing the pick of the litter; we won’t be in a hurry to accept new members all the same. We have never been and we can assure you, never will be in a hurry to gain members. We are not here – and frankly, cannot afford – to offer counselling services for every awe struck wanderer in Dual Universe that has no goal or sense of direction in a new world. We are, however, more than ready to help people who have a clear-cut objective in mind. Rather, we are willing to hold them by the hand and guide them through the Universe. This includes acting in a way that reflects badly on BMC, like bullying, piracy, and other actions that does not follow our guidelines and lead words. Rulebreakers will be Exiled. 2. A Bladesinner may never, ever kill or seriously hurt another Bladesinner, either directly or indirectly, The only time this is ignored is during Training sessions. Breaking this rule results in being Exiled. 3. The Corps position on good and evil is neutral, members who are good or evil are accepted either way, but Honour, Duty and Dedication is always top priorities, if we have a rampager that think it is fun to wipe out entire cities to take out one target and in the process kills millions of non combatant civilians that in no way have anything to do with the battle at hand, he breaks this Rule of Alignment, sure be evil, but with Honor, Duty and Dedication. And on the other hand, if we have a hero type player that because of him being good choose to take a path that endangers the success of his or hers mission, he or she has also broken the Rule of Alignment. The rulebreakers are Exiled. (If you see anyone breaking any of these rules, screenshot everything and send to leadership so we can handle it. If it includes destruction of property, you will be compensated.) SALARY FOR BMC MEMBERS: The first few months BMC will keep a majority of the revenue to build up the org. Thats why 40% of the revenue is divided between the BMC members that carried out the mission. When we get to the point where we have gotten off the ground and start doing bigger jobs, we will divide a larger part to the BMC members who carried out the mission, specifics will come when we know how much. If any members want to use BMC resources and personnel to build something and sell, 25% of the revenue will go to BMC for using its resources to create and distribute it. A specific contract will be drawn up for such occasions.   15. VENDETTA: RETRIBUTION AT ANY PRICE Vendetta is an organization to provide a central market and hub for mercenary and bounty hunting services specializing in "retributive" services. We would rather be hired to support an organization's military in retaking territory than conquering territory. We also intend to run "training" missions through pirate hotspots aiding in vigilante justice or earning extra cash from controlling organizations. HISTORY In the last days before the great exodus, humanity devolved into utter choas. Wars broke out within wars. Looters and pirates pillaged what little remained. Governments failed, corporations imploded. Justice was abandoned. Having seen the savage in mankind unleashed and knowing the infection it set in those lucky enough to escape, Vedetta vowed that it would do what it could to purge the new world injustice. However, Vendetta was not blameless in the old world order. No one was. With this mindset, in the new world Vendetta set out to create a network of people who would answer the call to help bring justice to the new world. In short, consider us a mercenary and bounty hunter group closer to Dexter than Batman. ACTION & TECHNOLOGY ACTION Mercenary Services Ultimately, our primary market will be in providing premium mercenary services for groups seeking revenge or defense. If someone takes your territory or destroys your station, we hope to be the first choice in hiring additional support in retaking territory and exacting revenge. If your trade route has been set upon by pirates, we hope to be the first call to provide additional support. We believe this will be compatible with membership of most governmental or para-governmental organizations. In fact, we hope these organizations make up a part of our client base. Naturally, the question of who rightfull held a territory becomes a question, but we should be able to agree on certain rules that resolve this question acceptably to the interstellar community. Bounty Hunting Services In addition to larger scale mercenary services, we intend to offer bounty hunting services for individuals or small groups. We will provide a market for solo assassins and small groups of assassins. Patrol For Hire (or Sport) For training, our market will offer patrolling services for any area generally controlled by an organization as a known hotspot for pirates or griefers. Outside a pay market, in training, our members may patrol trade routes and hot spots looking to provide additional support to those being harassed by pirates or griefers. Donations for such services are always welcome. TECHNOLOGY In addition to services. We intend to develop designs and scripts related to stealth, speed, and targeted attacks. This will include designs that will be both sold on the market and designs retained for exclusive use of our members. COMMUNITY Vendetta also provides a central hub for individuals with similar philosophy. Our hope is to attacked membership from a wide variety of organizations that our compatible with our actions. We do not intend to devote much resource in holding territories; we believe we can mostly make due with organization resources being contained within safe zones. Instead, it is our hope to a market of mercenaries spread throughout interstellar space. Membership in Vendetta should also signal that the player is interested in getting into the action while having an overall sense of justice. ADMINISTRATION Having seen the collapse of governments and corporations, Vendetta organizes itself in as directly democratic a structure as is possible. This is more plausible for our organization since we are more of a central hub and market than resource collaboration. As of now we are looking for two levels of membership. Simple membership is for those who want to get involved in the action and be called up for mercenary missions where you know that the action is in some way just. Leadership is reserved for those who are more interested in having the training and desire to act as leaders of defensive and retributive missions. Leardership will also include those interested in developing stealth, speed, and targeted attack technologies. To apply for leadership, just let leadership know you want to be involved. This was a lone decision by Kiklix and does not reflect the other legate lady astrum nor the members. ​The following are the answers to why COPS has been disbanded. Drama: Certain populous organizations and their legate have been concocting rumors about COPS. Legates from other some what populous organizations have made assumptions about COPS and presented these as facts. In every case these people are wrong and only serve to create drama. There is no reason for all the hate I have received and COPS has received. Groups formed, factions aligned. Power corrupted. For all the efforts to save our species, the millennia we traveled, we reverted almost instantly back to that old human nature. However Dual may require efforts from a larger group. If this is true, we just want to have a system in place so that people can come together to fullfill their visions. We want solo play, but under the safety net of a larger organization. WHAT WE ARE NOT: ​We are NOT GRIFERS. COPS are pirates, smugglers, outcasts, ninjas, mercenaries in the ROLE play sense, NOT in the griefing sense. THE BREAKDOWN: • Enrollment: Some will get invited, some will inquire. If you want to be part of a free alliance just ask. • Primary language: English and gibberish. • Timezone: Only mega corps keep up with time. • Goal: Solo or co-op gameplay within a larger group. We all like to do our own thing, but somtimes you need to be part of something larger or you will get left behind. COPS is an organization created and designed to bring together like minded people who prefer to play solo without constraints of typical guild requirements (be here on X day, at Y time to raid Z...ya its tiresome). We realize people have limited time to play and that real life takes place first. That being said, Dual Universe looks like this might be a game where cooperation and collaberation are keys to success. If we find this to be true, there might be more expected collaborative gamplay required. We don’t want to force anything on anyone, but just ask people to step up if it is required to do so. In the end it’s not about making a large guild rich, its about making sure your needs are met, our mutal needs are met. We endevor to create an enviroment where co-op game play is actually fun and rewarding. SO WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? • Security: Safety in numbers. • Community: A network of people to work together with if so desired. • Freedom: Free to play your way but with the undertanding that freedom requires effort and work. There will be times we need to work together, its the only way to keep an alliance strong. • A Trade network. Not sure how Dual is going to work with trade, but within a group there will be communication lines. We will be able to trade with each other and help keep our alliance strong. • Veteran ship builders: We have members who have crafted some of the finest voxel ships to ever exist. Our fleet will impress, this I can promise. • Veteran home builders: We have members who have crafted some of the finest voxel sci-fi mega structures to exist. Our home world wont look like a cut rate hostel. • PVP: Lets face it, even if you only care for PVE, PVP might and will happen at some point. If you intend to fly in a ship, once you are out of the ark safe zone, pvp will happen. We intend to create smart ship designs that will help to ensure pvp victories, but you will need to know how to fly it. • PVE: We know some people have no interest in PVP. Hopefully we can get a civilization started with trade, harvesters, crafters etc. It’s good to have folks who specialize in these categories. • Exploring: It’s at the heart of Dual Universe, of course we will explore! • If i can be done in Dual, we intend on experiencing that content in one way or another. GOVERNMENT: Don’t really intend on having some massive over inflated group of power hungry people running the show. I have no interest in that, however there does need to be a head or some form. Castles have kings, homes have breadwinners. Even a pack of wolves looks to their Alpha. I intend on holding the main key of power or have it distributed among a very close group of friends. Those who know me know I fight tooth and nail for the little guy, for honesty and integrity. I have no intent on telling you how to play or what to do...but internal conflicts will occur and those will need to be resolved.
