  1. Taking this line out of context is confusing. However in it's full context, it's quite clear that it is referring to queuing talents after launch: Finally, if you've subscribed to the game, ensure that you have at least six months of talent training queued up. The talent point accelerator event, which is open to all players, will boost your talent point acquisition in the first six months of launch by: 100% for the first month 50% for months two, three, and four 25% for months five and six
  2. Good post though slightly (accidentally) misleading on this point. As OP is a backer with 3 DAC, they won't get the free 2 weeks as this is only for people with a paid beta subscription (not free beta key) and who's subscription has in fact expired. The 2 weeks is to encourage these lapsed subscribers to give the game another chance.
  3. Core blueprints let you make copies of the construct indefinitely. Why would anyone who is returning to the game give or sell them to you? Your best option is to repurchase your constructs from sellers after the reset.
  4. To clarify on others' responses: You get the 2 weeks of free game time if you purchased ($) game time on your account via beta subscriptions, and then stopped playing (i.e. your subscription expired) for at least 1 month. In this case, NQ will give you the 2 weeks to encourage you to try the game again and see if you like it now. If you had a free beta key, or an alpha account, then you don't get these 2 weeks. Core blueprints (not ordinary blueprints) will persist on your character into launch, but you will need an active subscription to access them.
  5. Hi - There were never any packs available to beta players. Packs were only available before this to alpha (and before) players. Beta players either played for free if they were given an alpha players free beta key, or they paid a subscription. Everything now is moving to subscription, and there are no more packs (apart from the pioneer packs that award bonus talent points after launch).
  6. Many of the digital items in the Backer packages are not designed nor in game yet. There is little character design in game yet, for example, which is why a Character Redesign token has not yet been created. We expect that some of these items will be delivered at launch, and others over the first year (hopefully).
  7. Gamers barely speak English most of the time.
  8. Sure I understand. But alternatively, the alpha packs have paid for the DACs that they contain, and you got the alpha/beta time for free. So you can dice up the initial backer $ contribution up any way that you like. But 3 years of free playtime is probably worth more than a few $ difference between current subscription fees and the alpha pack you bought. Also don't forget that DAC are worth more (in real $) than the equivalent monthly subscription as they will be tradable in game.
  9. Those players with backer packs have received many other items as part of their packs. Not the least being 2 years of free beta access. The Pioneer Packs are simply to encourage people to take out reasonably substantial subscriptions at the start of the game, rather than buy 1 month and then leave. This applies to all players, not only backers.
  10. I recall there being mention that the 2FA rewards would be reapplied after launch. I'm not sure about the others. For the recruit-a-friend setup, I'll be taking care not to set my accounts up until after the servers go down before launch, so that the first time I play (and get the rewards) will be at launch itself. But these are good questions for Ask Aphelia, as I am sure we would all like them to be confirmed.
  11. All purchased time, whether or not it has been used. So if you bought and used 3 months previously, then, just before launch, bought 12 months, then you'd have 15 months total and qualify for the exotic pack.
  12. This is all we know (beyond what was mentioned in the stream):
  13. These are all great suggestions, and have been proposed by the community previously. Asteroids are currently very annoying and staid, and there will be complaints from the New Player Influx if we go with the current system. Adopting even some of the suggestions above would go a long way to making them more fun and accessible.
  14. It was mentioned in the Launch Stream that, in principle, players could connect buildings on tiles between two sufficiently close planetoids. Given that we are now (well, at launch, presumably) restricted to buildings under 1km from the surface (or 1km above sea level? or 1km above average planet elevation? or what?), it seems that we only have 2km to play with in order to achieve this. None of the planetoids in the images appear to be 2km or less apart. Are their no building height restrictions on the planetoids?
  15. The only mention of AvA we have had in the past few years was a recent (2022) blog post that glancingly said (paraphrasing) "NQ hope to present more information to us soon about often raised topics such as AvA, will there be a wipe, etc ...". Unfortunately the possible wipe topic then exploded, and we never returned to knowing what may or may not be the case about AvA. So the short version is, nothing is happening that we have any information about. I'm sure that plenty of people on these forums have an option about any potential timeframe (finite or otherwise).
  16. Yes, there is the calibration cost. So the calculation is whether the 500k quanta you save on tile tax is greater that what you would gain from the income of a similar tile (same number of MUs and calibrations) as part of a flower on a planet/moon, but for which you pay the tile tax. It should be a straightforward calculation (that I didn't do ;-p).
  17. The STUs are part of various Backer packs. If you have a pack, you will know whether or not you have an STU as part of it. Beta accounts (free or paid) won't have this. So my Patron pack main account will get a STU. But my (free) beta-key account deriving from the alpha account, won't get it (probably). Of course, NQ may surprise us tomorrow, but currently it looks like only backer accounts (with STU in their pack) will get it.
  18. Am I understanding this correctly: Everyone starts on Haven, and so gets a tax-free tile to run autominers on there. Backers (those with a free Sanctuary Territory Unit) can also claim a tax-free tile on Sanctuary, and run autominers for free there too? So Backers can save 500q/week on automining (tile tax) fees for T1 ore?
  19. Seemingly several people here disagree with me - which is fine, as I invited you all to do so 🙂 I played daily since beta, used the discord daily (I ignored the forums as the cess-pool that they generally are - present company excepted ofc!), and only heard about it when it was over. My 60+ member Org had no clue either. Most players I spoke to were non the wiser either. Of course this is circumstantial and easy to counter with "all my friends knew about it". But most people did not, and all "evidence" to the contrary won't change that. Anyway, this discussion is just going in circles, so please enjoy your deleted thoramine, and I hope you give it a fond farewell while you can
  20. At the risk of repeating myself, most people didn't know there was an event until it was over. So what value your "dedicated and skilled players"? Accessibility is the key to good event design, not exclusion.
  21. Problem is is that it wasn't accessible to the large majority of the playerbase. Most people didn't know it existed until it was over, so most people didn't get the chance to play. Now this is fine in itself, but most MMOs have figured out by now that you need to have all events/special things accessible by almost everyone. Later events by NQ did do this (the Gold Star event and similar), but they seemed to regress again on the PvP 🙂
  22. An exclusive T5 ore that very few people managed to get hold of in events that weren't really accessible to the majority of the playerbase. Retaining it in game serves no purpose except for mis-guided bragging rights, and its good for the game as a whole that its deleted. Or change my mind 🙂
  23. We are pretty sure that we will get a launch date announcement on tuesday during this livestream event: There was/is huge inactivity in the game because we didn't know about the launch wipe (which would delete all of our creations), which we finally now know will happen. So the game is expected to launch shortly (date incoming) and after this point we expect that there will be huge influx of new players when the game launches proper. As a new player you can either dip your toes in now to get used to the systems before everything is wiped and we start again at launch, or simply wait for launch and start then fresh with everyone else. (Also, if you're creating a new account, then you can use on of the referral codes to get some minor in-game bonuses at the start. Referee also benefits. Let me know if you need a code.) [Edit: here is a code if you want one, but you'll need to create a new account by clicking on the link (your existing account won't work): https://www.dualuniverse.game/signup?recruiter=30720 )
  24. While NQ are resetting Alioth, they might consider spacing out the districts/markets a little bit, rather than having them in a nonsensical circle which just increases congestion and lag. I mean, why would you have 10 of them in close proximity? Time to resolve the situation!
