  1. The construct congestion problem has been a well known and much reported issue since pre-alpha.. This is my main grief with this entire process. It's not like the problems we are having now are something new. We have been reporting them for ages.
  2. Unless the definition has changed this is not really beta, but more like alpha. Even NQ is referring to the release as early-beta which is a made up concept.
  3. It means they are obstructed and unable to provide functionality like thrust, lift etc.
  4. i5 9600 would be a decent CPU upgrade from the 3220, but the 9600 uses DDR4 memory while 3220 is DDR3. So not sure that would work without a new motherboard also... And at that point you might as well get a newer low cost AMD system, with better performance. And don't forget about the gfx card, DU is also pretty aggressive in that regard. Right now there is no way to tell for sure what the actual requirements will be, since everybody struggles no matter how powerful computer they have. So only thing we can do, is wait and see.
  5. This is my retirement plan, to relax in after I have taken over the universe. Thanos style..
  6. In the nanopack crafting menu turn of "nano pack only" so that you can browser the index and see all possible items. This will give you an idea of what you need to progress, but I agree there is not nearly enough information about items. You have to work 'backwards' and start with the end product you want to make, and then check the requirements down the line for each item until you have the entire chain. Alternatively you can just make whatever industry is possible with what you have, and let it grow organically like that. Quickest way to get started with an industry foundation is to sell T1 ore and buy the needed machinery in the markets. But once you have the foundation in place and production up and running, it will start to progress quicker.
  7. There is also the case that the roof may restrict your movement while building, so you make it last.
  8. You can move the core in build mode, and the build area will stay the same as when you placed it.
  9. Since all players needs to have some kind of transportation to get anywhere, the only realistic solution to the clutter problem is some kind of parking ticket system that discourages people from logging out at markets etc. Alternatively a parking automate that stores the constructs and gives you a recite for when you need it again.
  10. Fully maxed out you can have 16 cores. So for static core, I would go medium or larger. And it really hampers down on fun/creative experiment type builds, since you are always just one core away from having to deconstruct something.. And cores cost literally nothing for NQ to maintain, compared to the entire persistent world they have to maintain. A core is just a small amount of data stored in a database. Data that is totally passive unless there are players interacting. Any time you dig a tunnel, you have probably already used more server resources then a core would.

  12. If not being able to use the product because of issues caused by NQ, is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Then what is? And besides that, having angry involuntary costumers is not exactly a good long term financial strategy.
  13. Ok.. time to take a break for a day or two. All my containers are now suddenly showing the same content as the single linked container. And if I do something in one container, the same happens in all the others.. So did I just loose a shitload of content, or will it all be back some time later after a server restart? Regardless it's not worth the frustration at the moment.
  14. Problem is that the keyboard input are digital, so remapping analog stick axis to keyboard inputs is never going to give the fine control normally associated with using HOTAS.
  15. The game is all over the place at the moment. I have seen more client crashes, server disconnects and pending operation etc. today then in the last 6 month combined.
  16. DU isn't supposed to have a fix route for progression. Want to explore planets, funnel you resources/industri into the best space worthy ship you can make. Want to build a large base somewhere, get a territory unit and make industry for all the materials you will be needing. and so on..
  17. Ore does not re-spawn. So it will be of minimal consequence if you have it or not, since you will mine it out in no time.
  18. No problem, this game can be overwhelming for the best of us. There are several cities (Markets) on the moon, so use the map F4 to look for interesting spots that are available. You will find minerals on the surface that you can harvest all over the planet, so don't worry about them when you select a place. The sanctuary moon territory is mostly about selecting a scenic place where you can build a safe place with no PvP.
  19. Depending on distance, but flying to the markets is most common yes.
  20. Water is great since it makes for faster/easier landings if you put your parking space at water level, but you are also going to want to travel frequently to the markets. So it's a balance. This is why water spots near markets are mostly taken already.
  21. Yeah, been behaving mostly fine for me. But last hour or so it has been constant timeout disconnects.
  22. It's not you, servers are struggling. Especially bad right now with constant timeouts.
  23. Where do you end up when you force respawn, same place in space? If you post your coordinates, I am sure it would be a fun exsersise for someone to try and pick you up. And make no mistake, I do agree the level of bugs are bad.
  24. I think that if there are some strategic parts missing in the market, eventually someone will see an opportunity and fill the segment. But without real competition I think prices will stay high. Even for essentials.
  25. To be fair we will have to give it some time to see how the market develops. But I suspect there will lots of fringe cases like this for a long time.
