Also can I ask if the plan to have the Force Field Unit and Protection Bubble for players who build on Normal Territories is still going ahead?
As rewards should not give any advantage, yes, both backers and non-backers should be able to use protection bubbles.

Has anyone actually been able to purchase one of these packs? I keep getting error 500 when I try to checkout.
I have not hear of such problems for now.
I suggest you to ask directly to support: https://support.dualthegame.com/.
PS: same for you @Omfgreenhair.

This thread has been cleaned up.
This is not the place to discuss if NQ have updated their roadmap and what the supporters packs will contain or not.I won't issue any warning as I believe you were all trying to help clarify the subject, but please keep your calm and think twice before posting.
When answering to someone, and especially a newcomer, please provide information that is reasonably sure and not subject to interpretation.
Back to the initial question:
- As Falstaf stated, there is no offline mode. NQ confirmed this.
-
Outside of NQ, nobody actually knows what supporters pack will contains and what access supporters will get.
The best thing to do is to check them out tomorrow. -
If you want to get a rough idea, you can check the previous packages which are still visible here: https://community.dualthegame.com/pledge
The only statement made by NQ is that lifetime subscription won't happen again (I don't have the link handy, but if someone finds it, feel free to drop it here). - The new packs won't disappear any time soon, so you have the time to check them and take a wise decision. The previous packs lasted several months to give you an idea and NQ gave us roughly a month of notice before shutting them down (if I remember correctly).

Community managers add suggestion when reading the forums.
As the trello is quite new, they didn't get the time to add everything.

NQ has stated several times that PVP won't be available during alpha pre-alpha so I guess that the subject is now pointless?
In which case I suggest to lock the subject.

As far as I know, only NQ can edit the Trello.
Give them some time: it's new and they have a lot to read/sort ;).
~ Merwyn
-
That's good suggestions to NQ. They may be added to the Trello: http://www.dualthegame.com/en/news/2018/02/23/devdiaries-communication-changes/
Note that NQ stated that voxel tools need more work, but they will look at it later (they are currently focusing on other, unimplemented, gameplay).

Ok, I understand it better.
How would it solve the problem though? I doubt that all your members are backers?

So, you are lying?
Because I am ;).

Are you suggesting to all of you organisation (or maybe even public Discord server) members to buy a supporter pack in order to take part in the community discussion?
That's what I understand from your post, but I may be wrong.
I don't think it would solve your problem as all members won't want to buy anything (yet).
Also, the more people in the secret, the more leaks we would get and the more time NQ will need to manage it.
Having thousands of players for a pre-alpha is already impressive.

There is one thing that you all might have forgotten (or it has been discussed so much already that its redundant to say it), and that is performance. I have no doubt in my mind that the LUA scripting has to have some sort of limit to not stress the server. I mean it already must keep track of 10s of thousands of players and then it suddenly have to keep track of an exponential number of highly advanced machinery?
You indeed missed a piece of information ;).
NQ made the choice to run Lua code on client side (and with some limitations) so it doesn't impact server performance (except maybe for the results of the scripts: actions, logs, etc.).

Kind reminder to keep chat friendly and constructive (I feel like it is going to explode soon).
As said by Nyzaltar:
QuoteMoons having MSA will have thousands of territories each. Arkship Secure Areas will also contain thousands of safe territories. Those are not particularly "very small" areas. Planets will be huge, and safe areas, while limited, will be huge too.
[...]
There will be MSA only on moons decided by Novaquark, nowhere else.
[...]
If a moon has a MSA, it will cover the whole moon (unlike ASA, which will cover only a part of the planet where it's located).
... you should have plenty of safe space.

To be more precise, gameplay-wise (and based on what we know as of now).
You can program basic (or less basic) scripts in Lua, auto-pilotes may be a thing for example, but:
- Someone needs to stay near the program unit for the script to work.
- Script won't be able to shoot or engage any PvP action (or, at best, very inefficiently).

1. Im a little concerned about the concept of resource acquisition. One would theoretically want to hold a planet because it has better resources. How will this be represented in game? will some planets have some form of attribute that makes them spawn 'resource nodes' that have high value? Any explanation on this would be cool
We are waiting for more information (and NQ is probably still making adjustments) on this subject.
NQ stated that exploration will be important, but resource spreading is unknown at the moment.

Pocking @NQ-Nomad, @NQ-Nyzaltar.
"Gold" title is applied, but not the "Pre-alpha tester" one.
