  1. Since NQ is based out of Paris I think they would want to use a currency from there country of origin. I would think they would use something like a Euro but then having the rich history maybe go back to Franc (F) or (FF) or maybe the New Franc (NF). Either way i will be more then happy with whatever they come up with.
  2. oooo cool didn't know this was going on I have been super busy work family etc.... I'll try to see if i can make it! thanks for setting this up!
  3. I agree having different atmospheres would be great. I wouldn't mind seeing random weather patterns as well. Rain Snow Hurricanes Tornado's Blizzard etc. Just don't make the rain that annoying minecraft style, instead add some depth like slowly add the rain drops to down pour's etc. you know like a real storm!
  4. Please spare us the humanity of not having to listen to 10 hours of elevator music!!!! J/k https://youtu.be/S5PvBzDlZGs
  5. Like most i watched the E3 trailer and was hooked. I really like the fact that we all will be starting out in the beginning and can shape the future. For me to be able to join a game at the very beginning to etch my mortality with the skills i have learned from past gaming experiences is what made me want to join and get involved in the community.
  6. I kinda figured it would be close to an impossibility. I have seen people talking about building huge stations and/or rings around a given planet to mine it all up etc. I would think that a station once it exceeds a certain mass would end up becoming a fixed object in space incapable of being moved. If that's not the case then the 8km wide station NQ had showcased in the latest video would be moveable correct?
  7. The hand?!? one thing that will probably mess with me will be the hand. I'm right handed so playing a character with a left hand interaction is going to be.....out in left field for my brain. On a personal note I loved the video. As i was eating my cup of chicken noodle soup my jaw literally dropped when i saw how the voxel creations work and the size of the station! It really gave me a better understanding of how this game exceeds my expectations!
  8. Since we are on the topic of planets. I was showing my brother this game and he seems very interested in it. He had asked several questions about building and such which i explained to him. We kept talking and he had said one thing that stood out. He said "Why don't i hollow out the planet put a ton of engines on it and make that my ship?" Got me to thinking is that possible?
  9. Will all the materials in the universe produce single items or will additional materials be needed? Also what about by products and waste products? If we mine iron ore, for example will we need additional materials such as silicon, phosphorus, nickel etc to make steel components similar to real world technologies, or will iron just become steel after refining? After refining will there be by products we will have to handle to dispose of properly? If we are able to collect trees and use them to produce boards for constructions what will happen to the saw dust? With animals, if there are any, will there be manure that we can use as fertilizer or to be used to produce methane gas? Will there be human waste that needs to be treated in water treatments plants etc... The list can go on and on, any thoughts or comments?
  10. If someone takes my name, Lord only knows what i will do.....
  11. just read this on the Q&A thread DU is having atm Indeed, the procedural generation algorythm used to make our first planets did the same thing that can be done with heightmaps. However, we are looking into making 3D procedural generation, meaning caverns and similar things. As you can imagine, R&D is far from being finished in this domain. This is work in progress. As for the max depth you will be able to dig the ground, the exact limit hasn't been defined yet, but we are aiming at a few kilometers (the final decision may be tied to technical performances). Beyond that, let's say the temperature will start to raise too high to be a viable environment. So even though they are in development and discussions regarding how deep you can mine the one thing that stood out was at the very end. "Beyond that, let's say the temperature will start to raise too high to be a viable environment." That is going to be really cool to see. If the temperature rises as you go deeper then the need for cooling equipment is going to be needed. Things such as computer components and sensor equipment etc... are going to need to stay cool or they will over heat and fail. What other equipment will need this cooling? Structures built underground will also need to have a cooling unit or ventilation to maintain a comfortable environment not only for humans but animals, if any, and vegetation as well. Will be interesting to see what comes to light.
  12. Are stars and suns going to be an entity that could be approached, or are the going to be an un-achievable point in space similar to space engineers? If it is possible to approach how close could one get?
