Hi. How awesome it is to be a part of this amazing game!

Greetings and well met! Just signed up for the pre-alpha, and am very intrigued to check out DU and get in on it around the ground floor! I'm an avid gamer who spends far too much time of late playing EVE Online (after a hiatus from that game). I am of an era that played MUDDs, the predecessors to MMORPs. Being a gaming addict, I also have the "distinction" of buying my first upgraded computer to be able to play the original Everquest! Some other memorable MMORPs that I've enjoyed include Dark Age of Camelot and Lord of the Rings Online. I'm also a player of board games and tabletop miniature games, and have been in the same Friday night gaming gang for around two decades! In EVE I'm a proud member of the kind and gentle Signal Cartel, which is pacifistic and aids capsuleers (players) stranded in wormspace-- a place where you're doomed to remain unless you have the ability to find an exit out!

I'm rather new to the DU community (only about a week now) and I've been instantly hooked! The immersion this game has to offer is unlike anything I've ever seen before. This takes the best of Space Engineers, No Mans Sky and a few other games, adds FAR better graphics, and improves the mechanics! I cease to be amazed by the sheer depth of everything, and I look forward to playing!
 
Now about me,
I am currently developing a few games relating to Doctor Who and Star Trek, along with a few projects on the side.
 
I'm an aspiring Computer Scientist, hoping to get a degree at Bowling Green State University (Wish it was MIT X_X)
 
I hope to jump into Pre-Alpha and meet you all there!

I thought I'd say hello since I finally decided to make an account and support the game financially instead of just watching from afar. Not to mention I need to post at least once for moderator approval.
 
Dual Universe so far looks like a game I'd love to play. I'm pretty excited for it so far and I want to keep a close eye on the development and see how it progresses.

i´m Lyria and glad to be part of you. Years ago i saw this game in a preview and i still love it.
I´m a german player who loves to design and build up some wonderful places (i wish there would be a chance to make an artgallery ingame ) i don´t know anything about space and spaceships but i will learn

I'm an 18y old programmer finnishing up high school. A HUGE SciFi nerd (Star Wars, Star Trek) and both a fan and developer of games.
I first saw this game last year presented by Captain Shack of the XPGamers. I sadly missed the initial kickstarter pledge, so I will do it now.
I hope to help with the games development even so if only when Alpha 2 arrives.

I am here to apologize for my misbehavior regarding my toxic post "How complicated can this game get?". I do believe that this is not an appropriate conduct; for that I am going to apologize; I am deeply sorry! I realized that there were no logic to my rants at all and that the game is on it's current phase of development (longer testing-periods will come on later development-stage of the game).
I don't have a better way to mend this but to express my sincere apology and regret to you all regarding my inappropriate behavior through this letter of apology. I am so sorry!

Just wanted to stop in and say hello! I am getting more interested with each news release about this game. Do not know exactly how I want to play this game but once I get some in game time I am sure I will figure that out.

Well... I've taken the long road to get here (first signed up in October 2016), but have finally bought a supporter pack.
 
I've actually wanted to do that for a little while now, but as they were unavailable, there wasn't much I could do about it!
 
My backstory is probably similar to many of you; I began gaming in the 80s... C64, Amiga, then onto IBM clones once they got decent.
 
Gaming style? All sorts... flight sims, RPGs, platformers, there are few games I've met over the decades that I don't like.
 
Some might know me from the Star Citizen community under this handle... although TBH, I really drifted away from posting in recent years.
 
Absolutely delighted with where DU is going, and can't wait to get into Alpha 2...! And, yeah... that's the very brief version of me
 

Just bought a sponsor pack, hopping in for the sake of this game which represent everything I've ever wanted about a game. I couldn't believe i'd miss the kickstarter when I first heard about this game. Anyway, pledges are back and here I am.
IRL I enjoy blacksmithing and glassblowing. I love to work with my hands on my spare time, and i'm a physics PHD student for the rest of the time !
I dont think I will have enough time to play this game as much as I want, like being a part of a big organization, but I hope i'll find a way to enjoy the game as a solo player, or with a few peoples.
My dream would be to find a remote part of the universe and settle in to build a small workshop, as i'm more interested in building and scripting than pvping.
If someone wanna play the same casual way, feel free to message me if you can bare a thick french accent and we could try this alpha 1 together when  it's out !

My name is Sception and I have been looking for a new mmo to play for a VERY long time. Only found out about this game a couple of weeks ago and I apparently found out at the right time with the new support packs coming available  
 
I am extremely excited to see how this project develops and can't wait to get into it.

Just backed the game, have been keeping an eye on this and I can't wait to get into the universe.
 
I'm from the UK, like to work as a team member and love to build (ships, bases and software), so this game is perfect for me.
