  2. Here's hoping we are able to have the water flowing system (Minecraft Style) when in Alpha, instead of the Space Engineers Water System... Cause contrariety to popular belief -due to my flaming avatar and signature- I love water!!! xD lol

Hello Everyone, As promised on my last update, I would like to bring forth the official ranks for the Republic Guard, its fleets structure... before that though, I want to explain what the republic will be... The Republic is a Militaristic Federation Builder Organization, this means that foremost, we will offer our protection and service to planets, solar systems, and other organizations. However, if provoked we will unleash our military might... Our Primary goal is friendship, diplomacy and development with friendly organizations. That being said, here are the unofficial* fleet formations and ranks and open positions for the Galactic Republic... more so the Republic Guard -the means in which the GR pursues its goal- FLEETS Our fleets will consist of a layout similar to the following; 1 Carrier 2 Battleships 4 Cruisers 8 Destroyers 16 Corvettes RANKS (Commanding Officer) Fleet Admiral: Comrademoco 5 Vice Admirals 10 Captains 20 Commanders 40 Lt Commanders 80 Lieutenants 160+ Ensign ∞ Enlisted Our ranks will be based around the Fleet layout; this means the following; Commanding Officer (Fleet Admiral Rank), 5 Vice Admirals whom will be granted a Carrier for their command, 10 Captains whom will be granted a Battleship for their command, 20 Commanders whom will be granted a Cruiser for their command, 40 Lt Commanders whom will be granted a Destroyer for their command, 80 Lieutenants whom will be granted a Corvette for their command, NOTE: Ensigns and Enlisted will compose the working crew of not only corvettes but up to Carriers. NOT ALL Commanders – Lieutenants will be granted a ship as well. The only way a Senior officer can obtain a ship for his/her command will be through their service, recommendations by superior officers, and or if the Republic makes/needs a new fleet. Now the Positions open are the following… at this moment I am looking for 20 Commanders to take over the commanding of their Cruisers and help pave the road to building the Republic Guard… HOWEVER, there will be some basic requirements that will qualify a member in order for the promotion; Preferable that it is not part of another organization Willing to take command of personnel below them Show/prove leadership experience At least be 18+ y/o… We want to keep this mature and friendly with everyone… If you meet the aforementioned requirements, message me through the Dual Universe Community Website: https://community.dualthegame.com/organization/galactic-republic-of-planets P.S; I am also looking for someone with social media skills (Facebook - Twitter - etc.) To help maintain the upcoming Republic Social Media sites...   7. I've been following the dilemma since it began. I'm not taking any sides in this one but here are my thoughts: Dual Side: ~ Yes, more info could be better so problems like these don't hurt the game ~ Understanding the issue could've been better. ~ Posting the info in regards to the turbosquid models from day one could've avoided this situation. Blue Side: ~ He needs to understand that Space Engineers has been here longer than Dual ~ He needs to understand that Dual Universe is only in pre-alpha and in development ~ He needs to look for more information in regards to some of the points he's making (There have been several interviews since the E3 announcement that explain info) In my opinion, it is not fair to compare Dual Universe with Space Engineers, SE has been here longer, therefore it is easier for dev-community communications that are based on a model that players can use and test. Dual Universe other hand is not there yet. Bluedrake could've easily taken 5-10mins to look for interviews to read and find the answers he was looking for, but decided not to (this is the feel I get from his videos.) Also, why make a video(s) about a game you don't really care for? Bashing and making fun of Nyz for his ttpo is rather cumbersome, does Bluedrake not know that NQ is based in Paris? Or has he never heard of a typo? NQ could've also handled the situation better, instead of making or rather stating why bluedrake was wrong and making it public in the forums, is... well... not good. NQ could've also posted the info in regards to the turbosquid models used in the video. (as of my understanding, NQ had to use turbosquid models because there was not enough time given to make proper models due to a last minute invite to the PC Gamer show: ~I know some of you'll want proof of that line so here it is: https://www.reddit.com/r/dualthegame/comments/4p3w7g/about_the_ships_in_the_trailer/d4ifd1n this right there... could've resolved all issues from day one... Overall, both sides handled the situation wrong... but this can be used an example on how not to handle future (if they happen) situations like these.   11. I think the best model for me would be a monthly subscription based with me option to do lifetime subscription. i.e. $10=1month or $300 = lifetime game time. This allows those who just want to try the game... To try it and those who are serious and want to fully get into the game have an option to fully buy the game for life... Plus with this model you can also have a cosmetic store that has micro-transactions, for those than want more customization or cosmetic items with out suffering the p2w nightmares. This way you keep away all the negativities of a f2p model and the negativities from a b2p. If all my rambling makes sense.. Again. Subscription with lifetime option.

During the following week I will also be redefining more clearly what the republic is meant to be and how it'll function like before it is fully consider a republic!!!   15. Ok guys I've updated the op to include a bit more information about the Galactic Republic... Keep in mind that all this might also chance as time goes by and the game is fully launched... This info will also be expanded once the grplanets.com website is fully launched.

If not mistaken, I do believe Nyzaltar mentioned a while back that players would be able to construct ship blueprints and sell them to the masses, or that player would be able to purchase ship blueprints after they used their starter ship... I'll edit this reply once I find the info, if not i'll let Nyzaltar confirm it... As for the Space Engineers type of blue print that helps repair a ship, that's actually a neat idea... would come in handy if you need to make fast repairs when you are not near a port or stations to make the repairs, but you would still need the resources to repair it. For hacking a blueprint or obtaining it, I can only see that coming into play if a there is a big player made ship, but the blueprints haven't been made public or there is a reason to not make it public, in which case a blueprint hacking system could be nifty. Edit: I couldn't find the info, so i'll let Nyzaltar confirm it... however I do believe we'll be able to make our own ship blueprints and sell/trade them to players.
