  1. Some people find, for t2+, that using the flatten tool to dig, then switching to detector helps.
  2. Automated mining will never happen; NQ have said so. Get your talents up and you can dig to and mine out a t1 node on under 5 minutes. If mining grinds your gears, you can always buy your way out of the business by purchasing what you need. Also a guide, if you didn't see my bump;
  3. Plastic is pretty easy to make, as is aluminium, so there's no real need for just frames, except to help with future lay out.
  4. I nust be doing something weird because, barring having to change my password (which, I assume you've also done?) occasional crashes near markets and a bit of stuttering in the shuttle ride, I've had a better time with beta than I did with alpha.
  5. I made a city, solo, in alpha, with 3 large cores (admittedly easier to do back then), it was part tourist attraction, part residential (with slums that had semi dismantled speeders outside), part huge ziggurat/visitor centre for human sacrifices. Some of it was underground (before I learnt of the terror of landscape wipes - hopefully a thing of the past.) It had minarets, booths, park seating, plants, skyways and I plastered a lot of it in steel panels and cabling for where it needed to be grungy. (Again, tbf, easier in Alpha). The ground can be flattened, as someone said and I think you would benefit from finding some of the voxelmancy tutorials.
  6. It's not easy on the old eyes reaming through a hundred "basic this" and "basic that" in the 35 days worth of training queue looking for that one talent to bring forward. Could they be colour tagged with a background or even a line so your eye can filter out those not of the school you're looking for? I know this shouldn't rush to the top of NQ's list of things to do, but it'd be a nice quality of life improvement.
  7. A territory scanner on an M core anti gravity ship floating from hex to hex can be very relaxing (Ts's take 15 minutes to scan an hex). Ts's are large ungainly things and you have to build the ship accordingly. In Alpha, I built a simple + shaped craft with an anti gravity generator and 6 anti gravity pods to carry a ts and a large container using M engines. That seems quite the solo build in Alpha though.

  9. If you don't like it, feel free not to engage.
  10. Thank you for your concern, but my day is my own to waste.
  11. Just blowing off steam in a light hearted way. I'm sure NQ love you defending their honour.
  12. Also you are hitting it out right of the park as far as scheduling down time right in the middle of my limited play time.
  13. It works, I just doesn't give any completion feedback.
  14. Your constant quest to have us not play DU within 30 minutes* of switching on our laptops is ever evolving with the new 'reset your password" error 100 trick. *I exaggerate for traffic effect.
  15. Check your emails Everyone has to change their passwords.
  16. Up and down shafts are OK if you have enough cardio, vigor and jump pack talents. Remember to close off dead ends with accumulated dirt (press i, tick the "collect non ores" (or whatever it's called), then collect some dirt, and alt + dig to place dirt on floor). You can dump the excess. It my be quicker to mine horizontally with flatten tool for a hundred metres (then check detector), then back to flatten.
  17. Move your speeder's stabilizers from vertical to horizontal for a speed and height boost. Press right click on your dynamic core to change function to "pilot", this will make it easier to fly: W and S pitch (nose up and down) Q and E yaw (angle/tip ship left and right) A and D turn left and right.
  18. You can mine on a sanc moon - if it's your hex, so scan first and hope the node is in your hex. If you find the flattest point on your surface scan roughly central on your target hex, you should be fine. Also surface rocks are plentiful (though not evenly spread). Have a base on Sanc Moon and one elsewhere in (temporary) safe zone, then transfer valuables to sanc moon when protection is/when lifted.
  19. You'll find one t2 in ore nodes on the sanc moon, i forget which. Easier to collect on from a rock field as you have a low chance of it being in your hex. T2 on alioth tend to be around the 500-700 metre depth (from surface, not an absolute depth). To find out which planets have which ores, f4, then space then click on a planet's info bar. Moons also have ore, but they are rare, roughly bumped up one or two tiers (it feels like).
  20. Nice video. Some more tips Use your starting money to buy small and medium industry, unless you are an utter individualist and want to make everything yourself. This will save you a lot of time and frustration. Despite what you might have read, Xs industries are ok for running basic components (and outputting into the "input containers" of other processes) if you are planning to travel as nanopack creating won't have the range. Also buy a small container. Xs containers are easy enough to make and give good practice for the industrial processes. Put your input and output containers in opposite ends of your factory so you can see at a glance what they do. Or use screens. You need a M industry unit to build sub industries (gjass furnace, smelter, etc)
  21. https://support.dualthegame.com/hc/en-us If you need it.
  22. There is a support portal somewhere on this forum. Edit: here https://support.dualthegame.com/hc/en-us When you find it, fill out the form. This starts a support ticket. If you can be helped, you will be contacted. In game, ask for NQ help from a mod(erator) in the support channel. Usually they respond to "Any NQ on?" Or similar. Don't spam it. Response time will depend in how many mods are in and how busy they are. I'd try in game first.
