Why are you still explaining this. I got it before you even posted on this thread.
Lol I had no clue, I'm glad he explained it
-
Kurock you're not the only one.
Likewise, I can't believe I'm only now looking into this! Time to follow this through.

I wonder if mining a star will be a thing? Either for some really bizarre and exotic resource or just for cheap energy....
-
Lol I can actually see rescuing newbros as some basic missions or contacts in DU, for better or worse.
Hopefully the bounty system is taken more serious in DU than it is in EVE....
-
From my understanding of the "safe building zone" it was more of a small space around a bubble shield that would cause collapse if you tried to use it to basically hide or run away from PVP. I could be totally wrong but that's just how I looked about it thus far.
I like your idea of being able to advance your building skills to increase the ease of building or lower the costs of jetpack fuel. Good thoughts.

well now I need to buy a sweet headset!

I believe that whomever votes must say which side and why, I can't believe the "colonists" are ahead 20-21 atm....
-
How is this always a tied poll? I suspect some colonists to be cheating!!! At this rate war is inevitable....
-
All this talk about planets but forgot 2 things.....
moons and astroid belts. The moon bit is trolling but asteroid belts do add a significant element into the gameplay of finding large quantities of ore and who cares about some rocks in space?
I would imagine that belt mining would eventually lead to gas mining like in EVE...

Thank you for the tl;dr bit, haha.

aw yea, some capital ship designs!

Would it be possible to include a link to your works? Atm I'm stuck using a tablet with very limited space...
That being said, I'm still going to download and read what you have so far!

It looks like I broke the 19-19 tie with my vote for "Arkers" lol
Don't mean to beat a dead horse but colonists does sound a bit generic imo, and Twerk brought up a great point about colonists choosing to leave vs arkers being selected (more or less) to leave Earth.
HOWEVER, I do like the term "Dualists" by some of you....

I should prob make my own as well now... hmmm.

I approve this message.
lol thank goodness, it would have been a lil weird otherwise

Heyo!
Finally got around to being able to show ya something decent. Just a simple forum sig for MasteredRed, more to come for other DUA members (and myself). I'm also working on helping out TSE and AI with their own forum sigs (different styles and stuff to suite their needs).
Sooo... yea. Soon I should start to post some 3D stuff as well!

I believe Solar Empire and GLSU have some "hidden" Germans you'll be most pleased to chat with via discord. Hope this helps!

I think that's one of the things No Man's Sky did right. They were able to create his biome/planet that drastically changed during the day and night. Not too mention the sometimes extreme weather conditions that forced you to think on your feet since not every world was a walk in the park.
I've yet to see a tidal locked planet in really any sci-fi game with space exploration. I hope it could happen in DU.
Speaking of TRAPPIST, isn't that like the find of the century? Can't wait until we're able to hear more from NASA! -
So... Pokemon. The PC system essentially works in that game by allowing any pokemon or item to be transferred anywhere instantly. Given how far ahead the game is with it's technology with being able to wear portable devices called the Nanoformer... there's a good chance that the ability to transfer large amounts of materials/items will be easy and instant.
Haha even those containers and pipes remind me of Pokemon...

I think Twerk and Lethys have explained this as throughly as possible, at this point people are just going to have to learn the hard way.
