Food and drink naturally give rise to food farming and water bottling on rocks that can support it. This also means that people will be drawn back to places where they can obtain the food and drink.

 

To accommodate the spacefaring people there might need to be resource converters that can convert a resource into food or drink. e.g. Some gasses can be converted into water or alcohol. Any organics can be converted to a grey nutritious sludge, and organics can be grown in special elements.

Though I do not plan to join any organization for now, the recording of history cannot (well... should not) be subjected to any competition: everything I wrote in my modest efforts at note-taking is available to use by anyone.

 

I only ask for people to correct my mistakes or lacks of information should they find some while using my writings.

I don't think this is supposed to be a replacement for DU Sleepers. How exactly the two will interact is yet to be determined it seems.

[Something i don't understand about the game]

This was answered on the DU community discord server, but basically the current answer is as yama said.

 

A: No one else will be able to break your constructs in the safe zone. They can probably still find ways to grief it though unless you own the territory. There will be organizations that will sublet their territories (if possible) so you might be able to get peace of mind that way.

 

Some other Q&A from the discord:

That prevents the trolls from just filling the safe zone with dicks that no one can break ?

A: If the territory is not owned then yes, Pretty much. That is one thing that has not been clarified by NQ completely.

Each construction has the creators/owners name on it. So it will be easy to trace who did it.

 

Q: I suppose the spawn safe zone will not be claimable right ? I mean, an organization can't own the place where everyone spawns

A: Yeah the arkship itself will be neutral, with some NPC traders at the beginning to get currency into the economy.

This poll is very limited.  What about: Prospecting? Construction? R&D? LUA scripting? exploration in general (there are more than just planets). What about arena battles?  How about hovercraft races?  How about hanging out with friends and having a laugh? These are just some of the things I am excited about.  And this is just off the top of my head.

Well, many missed the memo that the devs explained CvC will come at the first major patch post-launch (not to be confused with expansions) regardless of the stretch goal. The goal is just to ensure the feature will be ready FOR launch.

 

We can only keep pointing out the CvC is coming regardless. And another thing: CvC is coming.  Regardless.

Thing is, if a comm array puts you in a local chat, it IS a detection array. You played EVE, you know the issue with local chat, it's used to detect people in null aec, not to talk to them...

Communication array should be for... communication. If a ship is broadcasting, then they are not being particularly stealthy. But if they, say, could switch off their comms or decrease its scope to a direct LOS beam...
