  1. I would love it if you could ram another ship with your ship and cause damage to both ships. Of course, if you fly into a large L-Core with an XS-s ship, the L-Core should only have light damage, but if 20 smaller ships fly into an L-Core, it should be noticeably heavy damage. Indispensable as another war mechanic.
  2. You can easily change the ore demand in industry. Some items need 5000 products of the same kind, and producing them consumes huge amounts of intermediate products and, in the end, ores. Partly the ore problem, how many ores are needed to produce something, is a problem of our own making. You want to integrate PvP into the game? Then the production of PvP parts must be cheap and fast in order to compensate for losses in combat quickly and easily. Fast in procurement, fast in construction, so that you can continue playing after a PvP battle. If you want to play PvP, you don't need 2-3 months of other game content to finally be able to play what you want. It also needs balance in the PvP area, but that is another gigantic construction site in the game. For me, however, a fundamental question arises here: Where does NQ see itself with DualUniverse in 5 years with the game content? Will it go in the direction of EveOnline or Starcitizen/Starbase or will it rather go in the direction of a big building sandbox. Of course you can combine both, but at what compromises and obligations for the players?
  3. I'll try to see this from the point of view of a new player. For the time being, he is bound to Sanctuary as his home. He can't mine there, but he can't build anything either, because almost everything requires schematics and of course ore, which he doesn't have. So how exactly does a new player get ore? He can hardly accept the missions, as there is no plane that could fly these packages in terms of weight. Especially since he also needs fuel. So he has to play through all the tutorials for hours for quanta and skill points. From the quanta, he then hopes that he can buy a ship to play the missions on the spot. I must be missing something, right? Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
  4. However, the market does not give any quanta, because the quanta there are from players. So no quanta is generated, but only shifted from player A to B. What generates quanta were the ore bots, but they offered a very small amount of quanta compared to the value. Especially since most of the bots are gone or should be removed from the game in general. This means that there is currently only one option: you have to do missions to generate quanta.
  5. With Demeter, will there also be the restructuring of the organisations with the area revision? Will the 5 organisations be merged into one, as soon(?) a character can only be a SuperLegate of one organisation? (Is this goal still being pursued or has it been moved?) It would be very important from a purely territorial point of view, so that you don't have to redesign and plan a territory x times.
  6. In the end, a player will adapt or he will simply leave the game. I'll stay as long as I can find fun and build. If building is too limited or too much work for me, or if PvP is considered the main game content or the game is a copy of Eve, I'll just leave. Am I really worried about that? No. There are plenty of games that can fill my free time with fun.
  7. @NQ Please disclose the figures for the territory taxes so that players can prepare themselves before the update in order to divest or merge territories if necessary. Please also give figures for the quantities of ore that can be obtained per area as a maximum with skills, e.g. in the period of a week/month, so that one can compare the current consumption and farm quantity. Furthermore, please inform us when and if there will also be taxes on space constructions. I don't want to spend weeks moving my planetary bases into space if they will soon be punished with a tax there as well. At least NQ once said that there will also be areas for space. So should we stop building large space bases now?
  8. What is the point of polls if things will turn out differently? I feel slightly fooled.
  9. and here's a point that bothers me the most: we're in a beta - so why aren't we given the opportunity to reset these talents at any time to experiment with them and test everything out? It makes me really angry that we are supposed to work with NQ and many want to, but we don't have any real opportunities to do good testing. Sometimes I don't feel like I'm in a beta test here, but in a finished game where the player has no say anymore, because nothing should be tested out. So please @NQ, be a bit more relaxed and generous in this beta test so that players can really test.
  10. What interests me about the whole thing, is this change being made purely for performance and the resulting high costs, and left in place accordingly in perpetuity, or is there the possibility at a later date, if it could be made better from a "programming" point of view, or if finances allow, of a return to ground mining? In general, I think the player should be given the freedom to choose how to mine ores or quanta. Not just one option, but several. - Soil mining - Asteroid mining - Surface mining - automining by drill - ... Other mechanics that regenerate quanta also belong in the game - Mission system - Ore bots on the market (Do they still exist?) - Unique quanta through the tutorials - ...? We certainly agree that DualUniverse will need another 3-5 years before it becomes a good and stable game that can be released. Accordingly, we should use this time to create opportunities to steer the game in a good direction so that it will be successful. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
  12. i would be even more happy if you couldn't have pvp ship battles at 1-2SU distance. The space battles in the videos are all in close proximity. Also, it needs a rework of the stats to adjust the ammo weight, but also the strengths/weaknesses of the weapons. It's not a rock-paper-scissors principle, unfortunately, but a laser beats everything else.
  13. Please. Is it so hard to bring a general talent reset into play that is triggered by the player himself by paying 2,500,000quanta and then has a time surcharge? 1. resett 2.500.000quanta 2. resett 5.000.000 quanta 3. resett 10.000.000 quanta 4. resett 20,000,000 quanta If you wait 1 month, the time surcharge resets and 2,500,000quanta is started again for the new month.
  14. It does not require a wipe. Those who have cheated so far should have been punished and the values they received should have been taken away. In the meantime, it hardly matters whether a player has stolen 50 million quanta or 5 million quanta. The bigger problem is multiaccounts and the use of missions, which create billions of quanta within a short time. All the weeks and months when you could "cheat" back then are balanced out by time after all. You had plenty of time to earn billions of quanta. In the end, it's like in almost every game: - Time invested = advantage - Number of accounts = advantage - Interaction with a group = advantage These advantages always outweigh a one-time cheat. (This is not meant to be a justification) The cheaters should have been punished immediately at that time and their unjustly received things should have been taken away from them). But what exactly would a wipe do today, except punish all players?
  15. That is not correct. The beta players should build a functioning society and thus create content for the upcoming players, since the game actually only wanted to rely on player-based content and synergies....
  16. A wipe will not remove the problems from the game, as these problems will be present again after a short time. The wipe does not fight the problem, but only hides the symptoms of the problem for a short time.
  17. I ask as a suggestion that the shields be expanded to include a function. Shields are great and look nice, unfortunately they are only needed for PvP, but it would be interesting if I could also set them to prevent damage when flying fast. At the moment, my ship starts to burn at a speed of 1050km/h. I can't use them. The shield could prevent this and allow at least 200-300km/h more, so that the shields would only allow a fire from 1350km/h.
  18. Can you explain to me how you are going to do that? At the moment, PvP ships are firing at each other at a range of 1-2SU. You can't just jump on the enemy ship and shoot the captain. You would have to reduce the general combat distance of all weapons enormously.
  19. I only need Quanta to buy schematics or to set up a territorial unit. I can manage everything else without quanta as a player with other players, and I don't need NQ's specifications for that.
  20. There will be new planets and moons, after all, so everyone will have more opportunities to grab things later on.
  21. Who gets the tax revenue from the territories in the end? Didn't you want to build the game on a player basis, a player-driven economy and player-based decisions? Now they are imposing a fantasy tax on us players just to take Quanta out of the game? I find it unimaginative to just impose this tax across the board. I could understand it if you had to fight for planets, whoever settles there pays a corresponding tax to the ruling alliance/organisation,....but just taking quanta out of the game across the board without a player being able to defend themselves against this tax or influence it? In the past, territories were distributed to settlers - that didn't cost any money - and in the past, people simply took land and claimed it, which also didn't cost any money or taxes. Why is something like this demanded in a game as something self-evident or normal?
  22. Will this type of mining yield enough ore to meet current and future demand? I don't like the idea that multiaccount players will now have a significant advantage in mining.
  23. Why several? You can give bonuses through the units when mining ore, which now takes place on the surface. So you don't just get 20 litres / lump of ore, but more depending on the bonuses and skill. How many terretories you will still have depends on the amount of the coming taxes and how you manage to add them to the quanta. This patch scares me! I don't like taxes because it usually forces you to farm quanta to pay for them. So it's not enough to just collect ores to build something fancy and have fun - I have to collect Quanta now. The game at that time promised everything to be player-controlled and that you can play as you like - now there are all these restrictions and guidelines on how you have to play. I don't know, I'll have a look at it at the pts, but I'm worried that it will keep me in the game.
