This exactly. NQ silence = confirmation of wipe and they are delaying any official word so (more) people don’t quit. Personally, I find this disrespectful and unprofessional.

Wiping beta accounts is bad enough. Wiping paid accounts is another level of bad. Further delays in announcing their bad decision is beyond ridiculous and completely unprofessional. I am curious how many people are still playing. such a missed opportunity for NQ. Absolute fools running this disaster.

I can’t believe NQ is this indecisive. I think they are only delaying the announcement. I will also say the delay announcing is terrible.

The concept of power would be great. Space Engineers model would be simple and effective.

In a way, keeping what the creatives have built provides the infrastructure for which PvP'ers can leverage when PvP comes to bear in game. Wiping it out pushes everything out.

Things are CHEAPER than what they were during the period of ore inflation. Your last paragraph is why people don’t want the wipe.

Do you even play the game? I ask because I have played consistently since beta started. I play solo. I am not rich and I have what I need and it took me a while to get where I am. I have seen no impact from super rich. I see a slow market with reasonable prices (now that the ore inflation is over).

Beats me but I can tell you I see no material advantage to those who are super rich or exploited to get super rich.

Yea and you will quit soon after for one reason or another. While wrong, exploits had/has virtually no impact on other players. It’s just an excuse.

We already have a soft wipe happening. Reclaiming cores and tiles becoming free to requisition when people don’t pay or go inactive.

NQ wipes again of course! ….Apparently….

Disappointing. I was just looking for this post So I could check at what this game was about. Candidly, NQ is going to sit quiet a bit longer because they have proven woefully incompetent with the community. They will wipe the servers. Some people will come back, then quit again after a month or two because it is still not the game for which they are looking. This, combined with the people who left because of the wipe lead to DU’s failure, which will be a damned shame.

I keep asking this question. How does the inequality affect you?

I feel like it bounced a bit and was gradually getting better. The recent wipe talk has been rough. I am sure NQ has the metrics to see the impact.

The point with wealth is that the super uber ridiculously rich don't affect other players. I have yet to even hear of a case where this were the case. So, who cares if there are some people with game-lasting wealth if it doesn't affect other players.

I think this is a good topic. What are we to do until wipe? What's the point in playing right now until we know what will happen? Wipe or no wipe, NQ really messed this up.

I can think of one time way back when SWG was gutted and the majority of players left. It never recovered.
