  1. You gotta love when this shit is used in other games to basically temp ban whole guilds right before Territory Wars like in New World. Are there players who need to be reported? Yes, but this type of system gets abused more then it is designed to stop.
  2. Once those people activated those keys even if they were disabled were then sold on gold farming or account sites @$50 a pop so those who didnt have those keys could still get alts with ticking exp that made them worth the purchase since you could just jump in with 50mil in industry/mining/piloting exp or any form of resources or Quanta you wanted/needed. And since you could buy a litteral alt army with either the legit or disabled keys you could pretty much run roughshod over the mission system not to mention any friends who quit the game that either sold their accounts or let their friends borrow their account since lots of power guilds/orgs started bought the alpha packs used all their beta keys and left could lend accounts in whatever tune they wanted. There is a mass surplus of quanta in the game NQ is seeking to remove as a reverse wipe since they could at any time manipulate the market as if they ever really stopped and they know the inflation is out of control so they are consolidating and foring liquidation of ore and goods and at the same time burning off consumables in some feeble attempt to flush the system of quanta, consumables, resources, and people since this patch is terrible and kills mining, industry, and missions all at the same time in one fell swoop with endless tiles that seem profitable now but will end up losing you more money when all the ore prices drop requiring manipulation by NQ or if not it still benefits them since it will further consolidate all the dead tiles, inactive accounts, and players who dont like the new IRS simulator they have built that will eventually cause those players to lose everything they have amassed to the benefit of sub paying customers to get freeloaders off the books. It will still require a wipe even though they are wiping the server on the back end it will lead to many strange economic happenings and eventually forced PvP to cause catastrophic game ending events to occur in a domino effect of people being forced out the door.
  3. You are also talking about ore prices as they are right now. With everyone paying taxes and needing to flood the market in a week or two those current prices will bottom out and you can end up actually losing money if it gets close to the old 20h prices. The only reason they got to nearly 100h was due to the missions inflating the prices and now that missions are dead and you still have to pay taxes to flush the quanta out of the system those prices will drop like a rock. So you might want to sell the ore you dont have to sell for a rainy day.
  4. I was basing it on the max potential of what I and others saw as a max baseline of optimal potential and what it would mean in that optimal condition providing you found a cluster that had a ring of tiles that all had 300l/h based on T1 ore since you would naturally assume it would be the highest with higher tiers being lower then that and based on the maxes we saw playing the mini game again with T1 ore since it would likely be the max. In reality the numbers are abysmally worse and some tiles I have seen with sanning are seemingly unsustainable unless you sold everything you produced just to cover taxes and still likely be in the red. Its sad to be sure but I am hoping NQ does a rollback and puts demeter back into development to make it more viable without killing mining, industry, and missions with just asteroids left as viable money making content that can be run throught the week rather than on the weekends if it lasts that long.
  5. Yeah I see this patch as a reverse wipe that is more about consolidation and liquidation of existing assets and a spring cleaning for all the dead tiles out there.
  6. You might be one of the few who were kind enough to do so. But many others and power guilds that came here kept them to bypass and circumvent the exp system since it takes 10+ years to do everything and you could cover most of the bases by going with Industrialist, honeycomber, miner/pilot, or pilot/pvp. since any or all of the specializations barred gameplay for weeks to months to years to do anything in game. That was before the mission gravy train dropped. Or people used them to drop cheap tiles for personal/shell orgs as well as usinging them for all the extra cores for ships or structures with the limitations. They were not just a good way to size step exp, landgrab, and run missions, there was a lot more you could do as well. like fill all their pockets on freight runs and que the nano crafter with an obscene amount of processing raw mats and log off to essentially expoit the weight loopholes and save money or pvp losses if you broke link after starting a 37hour craft. ' They didnt have to kill VR as much as set practical limits or just make it a teleport and get it over with and charge some kind of cost, tax, metarial sink, whatever to make it worth doing but still costing profits from missions or fixing the mission system in general.
  7. This is a wpie just in reverse. They are forcing people to sell things to convert it into wuanta and pay taxes and at the same time killing missions to take back all resources and quanta and pushing out anyone who cant pay taxes. and making people spend more gas, space gas, and warp cells. Its a wipe just not the one most people thought they were going to do.
  8. Yeah me either. I think Landmarks healing was a little intense but since they do maintnence pretty often they could have just applied a script to do a quick erosion/smoothing pass to increase performance, then do a quick world heal pass, and then fill in like 25+ dead tiles on each moon/planet before the server goes back up. We didnt ever have to see it in motion. They probably thought world healing was the same thing as regenerating ore and since it was finite they wrote it off early on as being realistic or something since it opens up a can of worms and now we have infinitely finite resources. At some point people are going to come into the game teraform their base or leave and there are going to be huge square holes where people were not able to steal everything and someone else will go there since the rates are poor and add to the damage and eventually we will be right back to where we started again.
  9. Yeah whats the harm in having MUs on ships since the ore is infinite and its not digging holes if you are collecting ore while you scan at random or parking a ship somewhere to auto mine if nobody owns it since ore is intinite and hurts nothing as long as it is physically on the ground.
  10. At bare minimum: T1 needs to be 1000l/h T2 needs to be 500l/h T3 needs to be 250l/h T4 needs to be 125l/h T5 needs to be 75l/h With talents to increase that 100% with T5 talents. And then thats bare minimum status quo of what you could get now that VR is dead. This type of system for infinte ore only works if you add sinks to take ore and elements out of the game via destructive elements, or using the new efficiency system for constantly runing things to do actual damage since efficiency=HP since the more damage the less efficnecy. Without those types of sinks in the game the economy stagnates or grinds to a halt. With those sinks you can raise MU output to however high and pace it with the items and ore leaving the game. The taxes only serve to address the mission system and since they killed missions with 0.27 there will be lots of money leaving the game with not as much coming in. And in general the old mining system was like a lottery anyways since whatever was on the player scanner could be anything from 2kl-1mil+kl. With MUs this static garbage vs simulating what the old mining system was with nodes the MUs either collectively or solo node mining with random sizes and l/h would have made more sense without having to babysit MUs and micromanage efficiency like a chineese sweat shop. When MUs were supposed to be an extension of mining when pitched and not replace the system outright.
  11. The best way for you to make money currently is to harvest ground rocks. If you make 100lh or 2400l ber pay you can do more harvesting the ground rocks since it takes 5 rocks to double your output in about 2-3mins of harvesting providing you are in an area that has a decent amount of rocks around you. You can probably pull 100 rocks per hour for 2kl worth of ore which is more than you would have gotten per day anyhow. Its boring since you could litterally dig for like 5 mins with regular mining and get 4kl. Its money though and youll get a random amount of T1-2 ore while you do it so youll get some cash that way. Even when I first started I was able to do 1L container per day if you notice the spawn patterns.
  12. Yeah I was hoping they would have put some up in sufficent quantities even if whales bought them all up like schematics. It looks like the market siege and subsiquent player sweep is under way. Guess we shall see in a week. Its NQs way of telling you to kick rocks. I mean mine rocks. I mean harvest ground rocks. If you mine 15-30 of them you are getting more than the auto miners anyhow.
  13. We discussed it for a week or two as we weighed out the pros/cons of playing. And lol I have been talking about it non stop where have you been? Been talking about all their idiotic changes and how they undevelop or redevelop things they already developed or removing things they develop since I got here. They seem to be destroying this game piece by piece to eventually push everyone out the door to huck this as a game (platform) and ride all the subs and the game into the ground to develop their platform so that when the game fails in a year when they march to launch and it bombs people cant sue them into oblivion like Chronicles of Elyria for not delivering a finished product and they come out smelling like roses to then pitch their platform to studios and investors. I hope everyone is enjoying their tech demo while it lasts.
  14. You cant warp on missions even if you wanted to and if you could @37k per cell you would spend more than you made at those rates which will go up with the 1/4th+ drop in production vs traditional mining. As far as hauling ore with MUs spread out over all planets yeah youll need to haul it and warp unless you cant afford it to slowboat and get pink slipped since its 37K now its going to be 2-3x that post demeter. You just need to board a mission ship physically and you can still do whatever you want with VR. It changes nothing but stacking physical bodies on a ship. It wouldnt be so bad if we had the full range of XL parts with military, freight, and maneuvering tags.
  15. Most of the patches they have done seem to be what was left in the pipeline from when those systems were being developed until their buget forced NQ to rush them out chalked full of more and more bugs, perfoance drops, red tape, sinks, epxloits, etc. Then it seems like the new CEO came in and saw what was really going on behind the curtain and was like mining needs to go, we need more for paying subs, and rush this flop tomarket so we can milk the freeloaders for subs and really pitch it as the metaverse platform JC origionally wanted to huck as a tech demo for perspective studios or investors.
  16. Havent seen any and most studios like to hide them unless they feel like bragging about ti when the chips are up and they are climbing the pop charts.
  17. It changes nothing. We should just embrace the VR as a Teleporter already and just open up the game. Its either opening up a can of worms since you cant use VR to run missions and yet with 5 base charges and 5 max charges via talents. Sure you wont be able to use 5 the first time you VR to calibrate 5 MUs but you can go back and you can VR right back and use the other 5 charges you couldnt the first time since VR uses T1 and you get 5 charges. If you can exploit VR like that with Calibration then why cant you do it for missions. Why cant you do that for buying/selling, Building ships/voxels with VR, Why cant you drop 5/10 TUs, Use scanners, or fly ships Via VR even though you can do it regardless via VR with the maneuver tool even if it takes longer to move. We might as well just get straight to the point and just make it just 3D print your character on the other side via some tax and just let you burn a Calibration Charge to get there and allow you to just teleport like in any other game that understood the concept. But at the same time they re-introduced the bug, glitch, or exploit of actually teleporting via VR with your character so if people learn to do that its essentially doing that. I had it happen to me multiple times in the past month. Its just like the teleporter pad element. You cant teleport more than 30m and yet you can pretty much do everything via VR to do the same thing and yet you cant use the teleport pad to cross an L core without 4+ of them or go between cores, or tiles, etc and yet you can do that with VR. Its silly. Its like either NQ knows all this stuff is possible orintentionally made it this way or people just freely use and exploit these systems thinking its not breaking the game or keeping it to themselves as like hidden secret knowledge. Either way its hella broken and it all needed to be fixed eventually anways.
  18. Maybe but you can tweak the whole system to account for it. With infinitely finite ore being generated and infinite Quanta from missions those both need addional sinks and plugs to make viable. They could easily make T1 ore 1000L per hour, T2 500L per hour, T3 250L per hour, T4 125 per hour, and T5 75 per hour across the board to make up for the ore coming in with using the efficiency system MUs use on all elements you use or constantly use. Either way it needs to be address all the infinite ore coming in with ore, scap, parts to take it out via sinks to keep the economy running rather than flooding the market with ore to cover the taxes for property if nobody needs the ore and you cant sell anything in the first place without ore, scap, parts leaving the system via destructible elements and efficiency drops via damage ofer time by efficiency drops in line with the finite ore coming into the game with more than enough left over to progress, make voxels to build a base, build an industry, and want to enguage in PvP and lose 100s of millions going out of the game. Honestly if I was NQ I would have just made MUs just use and RNG based system that just generated a random node with a random KL amount it would mine for this specifically generated ore and the size being the L/H without the mini game or whatever that just kept generating nodes virtually to mine to be more in line with the lotto scratch offs they had with regular nodes. These RNG nodes could be litterally any tier or any type of ore the MU discovers but depending on the amount of MUs you have working on it would be how fast you could crush nodes or taking longer since you could mine T5 nodes with T5 skills even it it took 25% longer and you got 25% less. Sure you have a tax treadmill but if those taxes being levied are part of the total available pool it accounts for all possible surplisses and ecesses if it has it built into the system with the option to adjust excesses to inject remove Quanta until an acceptable amount can be balanced while tweaks are made. Eventually if this game is going to go live they need to close all the loopholes, exploits, and side stepping their systems meant to do the same thing but making things worse.
  19. NQ has now made it so that you cant pick up or drop of in VR so those expoiting the VR Loophole is over in that sense. Which makes it so that you can do all the exact thing parking alts on mission ships and do the exact same thing and VR in the reverse to do MU calibrations, scans, and asteroid mining ships if you have 1 pilot hunting roids. It just requires: VR taxes by Distance VR and all actions using Calibration Charges as Action charges since you are calibrating the VR stations, Calibrating Scanners, Calibrating MUs, etc. Diminishing Returns for those constantly Running Missions, Scanners, MUs, etc the more you use it with more efficiency drops. So for those actually running missions legitly to pay taxes who arent constantly running missions they get bigger cuts then those doing 2 trips a day all week if the diminishing returns are based on the weekly tax cycle. They could also slowly raise the weight of packages you recieve the more missions you run to also burn off more costs for running the missions if your ship was perfectly tuned for the old mission system and is not build for escalting weight each mission you run and the escalating expenses in space gas.
  20. Ok just cat and mouse games. Now all you need to do is park on a mission ship with your alts to do the exact same thing since you are getting free ore per month, can side step the whole charge system in VR if you just go with the Charge Regen to pop the minigame 10 times every 35 hours and regardless you get 5 base charges anyhow, you can still VR to Scanners, VR to Asteroid Mining ships, and do the exact same thing you just need to park on the mission ship and VR to wherever you want. Bravo. It solved nothing. Even if it still costs 1mil to drop or has a smaller tax rate than the other tiles with 150k per day its pretty much free and if not its wasted time making HQTUs since they pitched it as a tax haven for builders. You could just build tax haven space stations instead.
  21. Yeah just telling you what to look out for since if you go out and pick up a bunch of tiles hoping to get miners and they never get dropped in any suffient quantity to drop like 12 per tile to side step the efficiency drops its in people best interest to starve people out so that in like a month after people start running out of funds or you get bored of waiting for them they can then turn around and steal everything from you.
  22. Naw all they need to do is bundle it with permium subs in a tier system and for every $5 more a month you spend you get an alt added to you account as an active player character and people will do it vs 5 subs at $6+ per month if you do the year sub.
  23. I assume you are new. NQ has made this game so that either the more beta keys alpha backers kept or the number of accounts you sub as alts empowers you to do double+ everything in the game via VR. The only caviot with missionsis you need a physical pilot, as many boxes as people to keep the containers sepperated since they arent marked, a VR pad/Station and you are good to go. If you are dual boxing it is easier but even if you get to the stops log your alt in pick up the mission and log out you still pick up the packages and can scale this up as big as you want since AGG makes it as such that wings and all that dont matter and there is no real upward limit of containers, alts, org mates, etc as long as you watch the bounce of the AGG which can and will snap if you arent careful. You can also use this in many other ways since with Alts you get 5 tax free tiles each if you start an org with each of them and sub to whatever main guild you are in for the real tile bonuses and mining. They limit the maneuvering tool in VR but if you are scanning via VR you can start the scans and move the ship when scans are done. If you hit the maneuvering tool max for like 10-15 mins you can just jump on an alt and push it further to the next 3 tile cluster since you can fit 3 scanners in a triangle at the border seams and scan 3 tiles at once. You could have 1 pilot hunting asteroids and litterally have a whole crew VR in to mine them since even at T1 you get more ore per rip/scoop max then your auto miner pulls in an hour. This does not also include the glitch/exploit that allows someone to physically and actually use VR to teleport to the othe other pad. We used to do the same equation with ground mining but hey now you can auto mine, run missions, mine asteroids, and scan tiles to keep dropping tiles and keeping the treadmill running.
  24. Any game that has this much time, energy, and money required to do basic things will be plagued by gold farmers. Honestly I think NQ should just allow players to buy this stuff on an NQ sponsored auction site and take a cut for allowing players to sell Quanta, resources, warp cells, etc as they make money for what is done in the shadows regardless and by selling stuff on some kind of in game cash market anything you post could be put in some kind of box they can use to police large transfers and flag all the people selling accoumts, laundering Quanta, etc to make their market more viable and create an in game economy that also helps fund the game. Its happening anyways and the prices are insanely good in a lot of cases. 100mil=$100 and NQ could take a 5-25% cut of that.
  25. Its why I suggested to also add talents so that if you are actually physically there running missions you could pick up 5 missions worth of boxes instead of just 1 via VR or force alts to be onboard a ship. Also I suggested talents to make missions more lucrative to be present with talents to increase the number of packages you could pick up per run for active missions up to 5 so as a solo runner you could potentially make more per run vs those with alts or force players with alts to run missions. If you then make VR a luxury tax every time it was used by charging 10-100+k calculated by distance traveled in SU along with 1 calibration charge it not only robs people from just VRing around wherever they want as many times as they want to exploit the game you could also have a multiplier by how many times you use it per day in addition to the fact that even if you only get 10 charges every 35 hours to VR with, scan, calibrate MUs, or VR to asteroid mining ships since with one scoop of ore you pretty much gain 1hr worth of auto mining. Is if it cost charges and money by distance with people jumping from planet to planet to mining ship to asteroid, and back it should cost both Quanta to go right back into the NQ account but also multiply on how many times you do that per day since if you run multiple mission ships with alts you could potentially stagger missions and double or triple up which is why I think missions should take 1 charge to pick up.
