  1. Connect to a container which has either Oxygen, Hydrogen, or both. Set the max amount of each you want. if it ever gets above that level the gas is just harmlessly released. If Hydrogen and Oxygen and nice flame effect would be nice. How can we not already have one of these? Industry could use it as a overflow vent. Creative people could place a couple hydrogen and oxygen generators and make a gas light!
  2. Repairing each element one at a time is a pain. if your not going to give us a real repair machine, how about a new level of scrap which repairs all elements by Ponting at the construct, not element at a ti e? Heck use the new plasma material.
  3. One advantage (for me) would be while I was doing these darn long missions (I don’t, I’d rather my machine be mining eth afk than flying DU afk) would be I could do a mission while sitting on the ship programming Lua for industry, which is my interest
  4. Dynamic cores come in all sizes. I believe we should be able to have mobile factories. if I wish to risk my factory crashing or being pirated, that should be my risk to take. remove static cores; they can just be dynamic cores without flight elements. If if I want to move my house currently I can get a truck and with a lot of work it can be picked up and moved, we have gone backwards in the future!

  6. Or at least an option where we can dump all of the market contents to the log file when we are at market, so players can make a fantastic market tool like Elite has with EDDB
  7. Log in, calibrate your MUs, after a few days take to market to sell ore to make quanta, hopefully enough to cover tax and do some cool things. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, we want to rebel against our tax overlords we want our own planet away from the corporate NPC stealing our souls! We want to do what we want with our ore, we don’t want to pay tax! Yes we realise that if we do t pay tax then we will lose the to SU protection zone around our planet. Yes we realise that the NPC markets on our planet will be closed down. We will rebel, we are willing to live with that. give us a current or new planet with no NPC interference. No NPC market place. No NPC tax on our titles. No NPC 2su safe zone. Player driven game they say, down with the tax, down with the control. To make sure people don’t just have hu dreads of hex’s they claim but never use, make it so the one week tax is replaced on the FREE WORLDS with you have to touch foot on the planet (real or via VR) once a week/month etc to not lose hex.
  8. Don’t need more shields, they need to limit shields to cores so S cores aren’t using L shields. Maybe if they brought in power management, so then the L cores could just have piles of batteries or generators to keep their shields charged unless they were actually attacked by a realistic force, as CSS broke L cores being able to tank their way through until a real challenge arrived.
  9. T But what about huge battle ships, they have the same problem. With CSS they can’t just tank their way through a combat. The large weapons have problems with smaller hitting smaller cores, and now they can’t even chase if they are doing well. Yes it will mean no S core size ships on L cores, but what about actual large L core battle ships, still no place for them?

  12. I run four different factories in different locations. Every maintenance is a nightmare as I have to visit them all manually to get them going again. I realise that NQ is working on the multiple backend issues which are causing this, but until they are fixed, can we have out talents work on factories in VR so we can get them working again. Its really frustrating for us factory guys. Heck I can turn the lights on and off in my house from anywhere in the world, but I can't turn a machine off and on remotely in the future?

One of my toons got 600 notifications when he logged in due to other toons doing lots of calibration, buying stuff and unclaiming etc. that would be a lot of beeps on the app. but yes, a App would be cool. log in a character, be able to do MU calibration, check notifications (filtered), send and receive in game mail if it ever arrives. But it I think this would be a post release extra, since they are still changing so much already. If the game posted any APIs we could access I suspect somebody would do it themselves pretty quickly.

  15. Don't go to release early. People will forgive a Beta, but if you blow a release product, that throws people a lot more. We have no idea what NQs finances are like. The fact that they are making alterations so a player's sub pays for more than what it costs them isn't a sign of them running out of money, its a sign that they realize when they do release that subs do need to bring in more than the costs they incur. I suspect the reason they don't have a cash shop is because things are still in flux. People are getting upset when they make changes which effects the stuff they have made. Now imagine the uproar, demand for refunds, threats of suing if they changed stuff which people brought in a cash shop!
  16. Would definably like that, but it won't happen. The problem is factories aren't running away in the background, no the calculations of how they are different now compared to when last activate is calculated when the construct is made active. This would mean every time a construct was made active, every other construct it was linked to, and they were linked to, would need to be woken up and computed. With enough effort you could make an amazing city with people doing specialized tasks just like JC envisioned in one of his videos. The problem is you could also have the issue you go to one factory, and all of a sudden every other factory in the city would need to be woken to do all the calculations. So, NQ please do it, but I don't really see it happening
  17. I think it would be good if players were able to make magic BPs as well as core and regular. Before everybody says way over powered, I would assume that the player version has the following difference than the NQ ones... - Weight of what the BP is stays, not no weight - Volume of original construct stays, not no volume - Damage, talents, container contents stay, naturally with their weight being added. If we had this, then - Ship makers could make vending machines which were stocked with fully ready to go ships - Players could archive some of their less used constructs in storage rather than having 'evil' constructs everywhere which is bad for servers
  18. I would also like to add, have no local markets, and turn tree collusion back on for the planet. Just really hit us with the hard realities of life!
  19. I think you mis understood me. Firstly, I am not a PvPer, I have never owned a ship with guns, and I have lost quite a lot of my mission haulers to PvP. The system I mentioned about PvP starting at the border was not my idea, it has always been NQs plans for all of the planets apart from the three in the safe zone. That is the reason there are hardly any good ores on Alioth, Madis and Thades compared to the rest; NQ is preparing us for that change by giving us a reason to want to leave the safe zone. if you do a little experimenting on some of the VR worlds, you will find that this is already implemented, PvP zone kicking in at top of atmosphere. What MY suggestion is that instead of bringing this in one patch and having all the rage quit and surprise, by something which has been planned from before the start of the beta and they have never altered, is to introduce a planet now with those mechanisms. This would give everybody time to learn, practice, etc rather than it just hitting us all in the face one day. There is a set three planet safe zone, all other planets will lose their 2su safe zone, that has always been the plan, they have never stated the slightest hint they are going to change it. I’m just asking for NQ to please give us one planet like at least six months ahead of the switch so people know what the next phase is. I’m an industrial guy, I run a few mining units, PvP isn’t me, but I’d like to have time to practice and work on a system to see if the planets are still viable for me before they all switch, and I believe having a planet like that six months before they switch them all will help with the introduction.
  20. So, all of those container farms around all the mission pickup hub and drop off points will start disappearing because they are on Aphellia land. Cool, while there are a few nice looking ones, most of them are just an ugly pile of containers. Will this also apply to AGG craft above the titles as well?
  21. I assume that non SZ planets will be only for orgs. There is simply to many resources a org can throw at either attacking or defending a hex that a solo would have a hard time competing. I really can't see any way around that. There will probably be orgs who set up to defend others, but they will need a funding model which would probably mean taxing their clients. So if you claimed an outer plant hex you'd have to calculate if it could fund your income and your tax and protection money. So definably don't place your master piece building complex there if you aren't prepared to lose it.
  22. New solar system for new paying beta players, lets admit it, a lot of the economy is damaged by people with scores of beta keys. Of course it would feel like a very quite world. I have two subs, i'd probably drop one and start again to be in a system with only sub payers to see if it expanded differently
  23. Eventually I believe the plan is/was to remove the 2su safe zone around planets. so as soon as you reach the top of atmosphere, you are in the PVP zone. This will mean no warping from safe zone to safe zone, as you will be two close to warp by the time you leave atmosphere. This will really change up game mechanics and a lot of play style for people on the planets out of the safe zone bubble. When (if) this comes it will be a huge shock for the player base. Because of this instead of just one day announcing it, and three months latter everybody getting a huge shock and complaining rage quitting, etc., how about you give us a new planet now which this is the case. Seed it slightly better, but not to much better than the other planets to give people reason to go there. Then everybody can get used to the idea instead of it just hitting them in the fact when most of the planets in the system switch. Even better make it a little more than 500su from the closest planet so people have to make a little range before they can warp. It would let us practice for what is to come. I know it is possible as I have gone to the VR training worlds, and travelled to the top of atmosphere and found that it went straight to PvP zone. So release a new planet, we can then have a long time to workout what the issues will be, and iron them out before all non bubble planets go that way
  24. Yip, powerful ship lights so I can see miles ahead of me in the dark while flying. We don't even have infra-red, night vision or fast radar; did we go backwards in time?
