  1. We only have one solar system in the game right now. Look at how full it is. It's like rush hour on the highway in-between Alioth and the sanctuary moon. I came within 14km of another ship going the opposite direction the other day. It's only a matter of time before we start getting head-on collisions. NQ has always said that they plan to add more solar systems. Each one they add serves two purposes, first it's unchartered territory to explore, and an influx of new materials, and then once it's all cleaned out, it becomes a place for players to build stuff. So the sooner we get rid of all the ore in this system, the sooner we get a new one, right? ?
  2. Let's say you owned a convenience store. And someone walked in and bought a pack of gum, and then proceeded to stand there telling every customer who came in how they think your store sucks, and the selection sucks, and the floors are dirty, and the staff is lazy. Do you think you might ask them to leave? Maybe put up one of those signs you see in literally every store that says, "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time". Why would NQ want to continue to provide a service to someone who is actively trying to harm their company? If you think they're doing something wrong, let them know. I do it all the time. But if you can't do it constructively then do you really expect them to let you hang out in their store, while you try to tare it down from the inside?
  3. What were you waiting for? Once you filed the report you should have just walked away. Did you think NQ was going to contact you and say 'Hey go for it, help yourself, the markets all yours!" You file a bug report because you found something wrong in the game. It's a report, not a customer service ticket. They don't respond to them. If you filed a report then you knew something was broken. It doesn't matter how long it takes for NQ to come around and fix it. there's no amount of time that suddenly justifies you doing whatever you want. I also don't understand why you keep mentioning Minecraft in space, like that's a bad thing. Minecraft is insanely successful, and also, that's exactly what this is.
  4. @nottheuberjuice You're saying you honestly didn't know you weren't supposed to be able to edit and remove stuff from the market? But were you involved with making the sign, asking not to be banned? That kind of seems like at least someone knew you shouldn't be taking the stuff. You also said that the markets were still working when you left. But were you involved in the decision to post about your exploits on reddit? Because it seems like the subsequent housecleaning that took place, wouldn't have, if the reddit post hadn't been made. I think if anyone who was banned wants to be mad at someone, you should be mad at whoever it was who decided to make a post on reddit, instead of reporting something that they clearly knew might get them banned.
  5. You can't honestly believe that? A player having access to something that they absolutely were never intended to have access to, by the developers of the game. It's not that the player USED an exploit to access the market. It's the fact that they were able to, that IS an exploit, to anyone who knows about it. For all we know, at one point all the markets had open RDMS, and NQ managed to fix them all except market 15. I think you can see how it's important to keep something like that quiet. NQ specifically put wording in the TOS, so when they screw up like this, players don't go post about it on Reddit. I agree 100% that the entire concept of RDMS theft, with a flawed RDMS system and no pvp, is a mess, and is doing nothing but reflect badly on the game right now. That doesn't change the fact that intentionally violating the TOS gets you banned.
  6. You kids today constantly confusing private companies with some kind of Democracy. "It's unfair" "Hypocrisy" "Muh free speech" It's honestly kind of refreshing. In a lot of ways i wish that was how things worked. But it's not
  7. You guys are so stuck on this idea that the ban was some sort of punishment for a theft. When NQ makes a mistake that creates an exploit. And a player discovers that mistake and exploits it, then posts publicly about it. That hurts the game and makes NQ look bad. That's why it's in the TOS. Because NQ doesn't want you to do it. The ban is to remind people not to do stuff that NQ specifically asked us not to do.
  8. How have i moved the goal post? How is NQ making changes to a market's RDMS any different then them making changes to yours? Was NQ playing the game when they made the changes? Was the purpose of the RDMS change to benefit them personally in the game? Or was it maybe, part of their job, to make the market services available to all of us, so we can enjoy the game.
  9. Even when it's not their stuff? The market wasn't theirs to give away. NQ has access to everything. If they mistakenly set all your RDMS to ALL, is that a bug or PVP?
  10. Do you think bugs, are like real bugs? Like there's a spider inside the computer? Not mistakes in code?
  11. What if right now someone at NQ just shuts the game off. Is that PVP? Did we all just lose? Can they never decide to turn it back on again? ?
  12. Players aren't supposed to have access to your stuff, correct? Players aren't supposed to have access to a market, correct? NQ staff have the ability to make any of these changes any time they want. Are you saying that if NQ mistakenly gives me everything on Alioth. Then it's mine, forever? Finderz Keeperz
  13. So you're saying the difference is, when a player sets RDMS that's part of the game. But since NQ has the ability to make changes to the game, that aren't inline with the intended gameplay. Like giving away all your stuff, or a market, when NQ makes unintended changes to RDMS that's.... a bug?
  14. So if someone at NQ mistakenly sets all your RDMS to ALL, is that a bug?
  15. This argument is just silly. Since about 1999 i've known that in a persistent online game, if you find an exploitable bug, you report it, or you risk getting banned. And if you share the knowledge publicly, you get banned. This is common knowledge. Everyone knows this. It was in the TOS. It's been in every TOS for 20 years. The idea that NQ should have specified that they aren't players and aren't included in PVP is hilarious. This sounds like a bunch of children trying to talk their way out of bedtime by pointing out that their parents get to stay up late.
  16. Which country's laws? Or are we talking Maritime law? Or maybe the Pirate's Code? AAARRGH☠️
  17. The other thing is, people are robbing themselves of gameplay here too. When things go wrong in a game it can be frustrating. But in my experience when you calm down and decided to find a solution to the problem, it usually ends up being a fun adventure. On one of my first few trips off Alioth i crashed landing on Talemai, before i had a rez node on my ship, and ended up back on Alioth. Had to mine enough resources to outfit my speeder with space engines, and flew it all the way back to my ship. It was definitely an adventure, plus i learned a lot about ship building in the process. Another time i ran out of fuel 200su from Alioth after getting disconnected three or four times on the trip back from Lacobus. So i jumped off my ship and jetpacked all the way back to Alioth. For anyone who hasn't tried it, decelerating from 29999kph and landing on Alioth without a ship is pretty exciting. Game devs do their best to manufacture this feeling in most games, but the truth is there's just no comparison to the actual feeling of satisfaction when you overcome a tough situation. It bonds you with a game. It's like when people survive a life and death situation in real life and become best friends, sort of ?
  18. If JC hadn't decided to lead the company based on his personal whim's, the game wouldn't exist. If he was interested in what's best for the company, Dual Universe would be some kind of Battle Royal shooter. It is truly his Oasis. He'll probably make some bad decisions. But his whims have gotten us this far.
  19. Honestly NQ is not who you need to be talking to if you don't like this practice. It's the banks. Or the customers. I'm sure if it were possible NQ would love to keep the 1% or more of their fees that go to the banks for processing the transactions. But the fact is that customers demand the convivence of large banks, and banks demand the convenience of the reoccurring subscription system. No one is going to wait two weeks for a check to go through the mail and then clear, before they can play the game. If you don't like big banks, then pay cash whenever you can. small businesses will thank you. If you want to play literally any online game, you're going to have to deal with a sub. At least until Tyler Durden tares down the global banking system ?
  20. It definitely sucks that stuff like this can happen already, without the PVP in place to retaliate. I'm not a fan of that. But as far as NQ's involvement. If the person who was stolen from, intended to give access to the resources, even if they didn't intend for them to be stolen, then there's nothing to be done. If there was some kind of RDMS glitch involved, then i hope NQ steps in. It would be crazy to expect NQ to do some kind of investigation every time this happens. But since it's still Beta and there are certainly a few issues with RDMS, maybe they will.
  21. If you have access to the nda part of the forums there's a guide section. There's also some video guides on Novaquark's YouTube channel. ☭
  22. What if we could just pick up an entire dynamic construct? As long as you have room to hold it why not? ?
  23. Welcome ? The test servers aren't available right now. They are usually up most weekends but this week there was no test. they haven't announced the exact timeframe of the next test but they hinted at an extended test for the entire month of June! Yay? When the test is announced you can see it here https://www.dualthegame.com/en/server-status/
  24. The supporter packs give access to the Alpha and the Beta phases. And I think they all come with a few DAC (monthly subscription tokens that are tradable in game and can be redeemed for a month of access after launch) After the game launches it will be subscription based so you won't have to buy the game. But you and anyone you share a beta key with will have to pay the subscription to play at that point. About $15US a month I think.
