  1. Yea you like take what's written "no wipe unless there is no other way" don't like it and make up your own theory. /logic.
  2. That "big orgs" and "small players" discussion has nothing to do with economy. People should stop caring about big orgs. All games have it and there is nothing you can do about it. 100 people will have more "stuff" that 1 person unless game does something stupid. Economy is not something you "make" it something that "evolves naturally" over time. If the environment being turned upside down every other week(schems, schem prices, element destruction), then nothing can evolve in it.
  3. You invest your time/points into talents and only AFTER you have invested you understand that they actually don't work. Yea, that's AMMO L telemetry 5 too btw.
  4. "Wipe" will make more harm than good. Here are the options that are possible to achieve the same without actually wiping: 1) Introduce new ways to generate wealth that highly outclass the old methods making what people had in past irrelevant. 2) After release, introduce "new solar system" (second ark ship or something for lore): People can "reset" and start in new system OR they continue in the old system but it will take 30-60-90 days(adjust per balance) until the gate is built that is connecting the systems so new folks at release in the "new system" get the whole experience before they are flooded by vets with their assets. You also get that cool "getting united" moment for free too. + Some vets will buy second account just to have access to new system while keeping their old folk running too - more account revenue.
  5. They won't really care, all the revenue should go to next quarter most likely. They will represent quarter report with pre 0.23 numbers. They will represent next quarter report with 0.24? numbers that I guess should bring people. DU will be start turning into ghost town after 27th dec. I got an industry alt to have industry skills, paid 21$ to have it. After skillpoint reset and schems price being 90% of product price it was wise to invest points into manufacturing speed. Guess what ? Those skills don't work on any t2+ recipes/machines etc. Now they lowered schem prices and the whole idea of investing into speed is in doubt. Do you see me paying another 21$ for that ? (They refused skill point reset when I opened a ticket).
  6. I read the game description, it says "beta". In game industry 2020 it means "it just compiled for the first time, no idea how it will run". Then I read "we will not wipe unless there is no other way". I calculated should I get on now or not, decided to get on and paid 21$ for a sub. It's not about how much I have to lose, it's about my time invested in this. If they would say "you can get on now but we will wipe before release" I would 100% not sign up. If they play me and wipe for weak reason, I will feel betrayed and cancel my sub. That's one promise too many broken.
  7. The current schem prices should have been about 2x more at least. The first iteration prices were way too high imho (if you plan to get your investment back in 6 months, price of ore is irrelevant to the price of schems) The cry part, yea, "we heared you - all our vision is wrong" approach shows incompetence and makes you wonder like what's gonna be next. Remove PVP completely and continue advertising game as space PVP game? BTW, they didn't remove element damage in crashes(yet).
  8. I don't care how it released and when. They said "no wipe unless there is no other way". Having economic imbalance (that will eventually come anyway, look at eve, try joining competing economically with 10 year old economic vet) is not a reason for a wipe. Rebalance, patch stuff, make it upside down. Don't wipe.
  9. From what I hear they were all cut to like 50mil per account, rest was evaporated. (I didn't play then so don't know). Economy not starting up ? You mean the one that has it's production costs altered by 1100% every other day ? No wonder.
  10. Saying "ow, there is imbalance of some people getting too far ahead of others" and doing a wipe to achieve space communism is not a valid reason for "we hope not to wipe".
  11. There are even more people playing stuff like Fortnite so what ? Game that has wipes is different from the MMO game that doesn't have wipes. DU is MMO without wipes. I came to play that. If it would be SE/Empyrion wipes every now and then thingy I would not play it. I am not playing fortnite, it's not "my game". I play MMOs.
  12. From out tests the system is completely screwed up. They tried to fight alt+f4. Now it's just shitshow of ships stopping/accelerating for no reason randomly. I don't even want to try explaining the mechanics, it's like smoking a kilo of marijuana and doing math afterwards. Nothing makes sense. There are 100500 "know how"s now that you can use to manipulate it. You probably stopped because of the server reboot. IMHO it's the worst part of 0.23. P.S: I don't need a container boost.
  13. You probably purchased steel honeycomb schems, that's why they don't go into smelter M. "Steel schematics" = honeycomb "Steel product schematics" = the material used in crafting stuff You can say "thank you" directly to NQ, no need to go ballistical here.
  14. Did it cross your mind that this is the reason why some people don't play SE and play this game ?
  15. There are many people that play this unbalanced glitchy and bug-ridden game currently only because if it ever "flies" then they get advantage of early start. Wiping progress totally will mean that they wasted their time for no reason and will leave.
  16. Not talking about whatever you think about can save you your capital sounds like a good idea. They will probably try to softwipe accumulated wealth, although after the schematic prices have been lowered, the quanta barrier is already pretty low so they don't have "much space". Let's say: Currently, average Joe can relatively easily gain 2-3m/day by mining 50-100k of hematite and selling to bots. 10 days doing that and playing with voxels from time to time and you have like 20-30mil for schematic to setup an industry. For example warp drive L. If you go for something lower you can start much earlier. Rich guy has, let's say has 1bil. He gains about 50mil/day from industry/investment (5% overall profit margin from investment is easily doable). So for "soft wipe" in the name of space communism we need to somehow make their income be closer. The easiest way(given that even this is probably too complex for NQ) is to make a PVE activity that pays out much more than current mine ore -> sell to bots scheme. So in order to "wipe wealth" daily possible reward for "average joe" should rise to at least 20mil (for example by PVE missions?) but that makes the schematics dirt cheap, imagine if any average joe can buy schematics for a warp dive L after just 1 day of casual grind, about 3-4 days for largest dynamic/space core etc. That makes schematics useless in what they were intended to do. How they gonna balance it ? God knows, they will still try and hurt everyone due to being ill-experienced in managing sandbox MMO economy and lose players but let's wait and see I guess. There will still be crazy rich, in most cases those will be the ones that "for some reason" know exactly what to do before the patch...
  17. I think they should not handle it at all. Player can buy it for whatever the game time of 1 month costs and sell it on the market for whatever they think it's worth. It will work perfectly on it's own.
  18. I did exactly that, and they replied with "Oh, we are sorry you are screwed"
  19. Once the DAC comes in I guess bot orders will be irrelevant therefore the DAC price will be decided by players and will be floating. It will "high enough" so some don't care buying it for real money while others can afford to buy it with quanta. No one can answer you "how much" as there is no "how much" for quanta. You can't know what quanta will be worth when DAC hits. Like, tell me how much pyrite price in quanta will be at the time of release ?
  20. It should not be allowed if the game rules don't change direction 180% the other way. In this case game changed it's economy completely. Some people dumped mining and decided to go "schematics traders" they are now scrwed. Some people dumped industry as they couldn't afford it they now can and are screwed up as they can't. They don't have refine/smelt skills. They did decide in the other realities. Currently the game has again changed, the reality is different. Let people adopt. I am not saying it should be constant possibility, it should be when you change your game 180% during beta to let people adopt.
  21. Like you go code, get paid, pay what you earned for the game and then code and build the game you paid for ?
