It has always been known that upkeep would come. By definition that would impliy if you do not maintain upkeep you lose ownershipo and this may mean you lose your stuff

If you grabbed the game 6 months ago there was never an indication of such.  I'm merely pointing out what other companies do that enables people to come back.  Sadly this change sounds great to salvage but no people may sadly be less inclined to return.  Less re-subs!

Just wondered on this as I'm not overly for nor against it but in many games items are usually slapped into Escrow if you go inactive and can pull it out again.  I'm talking here long term people who quite a while ago.  So why are not they not doing it here?  Wont the fact people may rejoin only to find everything 'gone' just put them off and therefore hitting your audience ?

    Seems a double whammy :(

Genuine question, how much pvp roid mining have you done?  Because I see this sort of comment a lot, when in my experience the risk of pvp at roids is pretty low if you know what you are doing.  I did pvp roid mining as my main activity for about 4 weeks after they launched, visiting roids that were already discovered below the top tier.  I got into pvp ONCE and lost ONE ship.  In the meantime my mining returns were far higher than anything i was getting on planets (without a T3 mega).  So does your feedback come from experience or believing the hype?

Experience.  The PvP at the roids do occur more depending on time zone.  Not sure what time zone you are but for me its been a mixed bag with probably 50/50 split of times I've been hit (still got a good haul) compared to not being hit.   Also certain places seem easier not being hit i.e dont do it so much around Alioth close to certain alliances faction bases.

  4. I think we all hoped ore prices would reduce thus things get cheaper to make and then you can do more in the game.  However mining units are rubbish and are not yielding the amount of ore needed to sustain.  Like I say they are pushing you to roids and more to a broken pvp system.  Add in missions were nerfed for org or group runs and not hitting the big alt runs it isn't helping.

My suggestion is see if you can join a  larger group perhaps?

It is getting beyond ridiculous that since they were added 'Empire' cannot access their org wallet or have people send money.  So how do you expect us to pay for territories if we cannot send money into the org wallet?  We've logged countless bug reports to always get 'we are working on it' and I appreciate only on paper we are the largest org out there but it is very frustrating that zippo, nadda, nothing is done to correct it.

    Rant off

I got the point. But i will not come to the point where i can substain a remote tile with just 200l t1 income per day. How to earn any money for that?

    Hi,

Mining units are to supplement mining on asteroids.  There is a big push to get people into space and PvP space.  Do you have a space capable ship?

So NQ even when asked on discord seem to be ignoring this but if you did not know they nerf'd missions by you cannot take or hand them in via VR.  As a result people who run mission haulers for perhaps org friends or you join someone who is running them can no longer join in with 'ease'.  It in fact does not stop those who have 'beta keys' running all their alts on the mission hauler (so they can carry on normal) but in fact hits the player who doe not maybe have multiple alts (well nothing like 80-160 we've heard about).

So NQ can you explain the change?  How are you going to stop those who bundle their 'freebie' alts onto a mission hauler and just cycle like they've always been doing?  Now I guess I could 'warp shuttle' everywhere to do it taking even more time out of doing other things I guess!.

Players are setting up VR locations at the mission pick up and drop off locations.  They will then just log their alt and VR to either pick up or drop their packages.  they only ever need the pilot on the mission running ship.

They should just stop mission packages being able to be collected via VR as a starting point, there is still many other changes that are need to fix missions though as alts can then just be placed on a the ship.  It will be hard to fix the issue and still allow organisations to run missions in a legitimate way.

I actually hate how VR is so limiting.  I hate having to fly all over to just do one thing, where I could be doing something else!.  Doing more via VR would be helpful lol :P

The solution can be quite simple, so we know this isnt going to happen but if u dont pay the taxes, the territory should be refunded for all tiles bought before demeter and constructs that are in those tiles will be packaged up in a BP with the materials and deposited at the nearest market where players can reteeive it. This way it cant be a used to move statics between planets and everyone that quit at 0.23 and since wont lose anything.

If NQ doesnt do this, noone will ever return.

That sounds reasonable.   I dont think they have really thought about it tho.  Obviously player retention and returning players should be important.  I can think of a number of people just taking a 'break' till more content is added.  It would be terrible if it all just vanished.

  10.

Another interesting talk on our discord is about abandoned constructs and territories.  In other MMO's things get compacted into an escrow and therefore someone potentially returning could open their package and continue where they were.

DU is proposing everything is salvaged and taken.  Not sure this will encourage people to come back to the game if everything is able to be taken.  Thoughts?

Maybe PVE is what we need, would you not agree?

Player vrs the Environment was never in their scope since this was supposed to be a Civilization building game with only 1 safe space (Sanctuary).  They have also even said previously no chance of NPC's.  I dont even think their tech can support it (cilent based not server based).  So sadly thats out the window!
