  1. Maybe need a gunsmithing skill to get parts from different weapons to work together properly. Could you imagine having a dual barrel plasma shotgun lol. That shot rainbows!

    Wow i need to learn to read my bad lol, but the rest is still true. As much as we all do not want this to happen it will.
  3. Oh yeah or as you love so much unicorn farts . but what I would like to see is fully custom weapons maybe have a system that you can assemble and disassemble weapons from different parts to make an all new weapon.
  4. Maybe not 3rd party meshes (cuz yes this would break the game) but maybe some sort of creation tool might be nice. but not until the game is released and stable.

    Um where did you see that? Everything I have read so far has said MMO. This will not be WoW 2.0! And I can Guarantee you that the game is going to be everyone build the biggest ship with the most guns. There is not going to be any thing past that.

  7. How complicated should they be? Personally I enjoy a slightly complicated production chain, but for this maybe refining of base materials then needing to construct components then components to final product or maybe advanced components for a complicated machine such as FTL drives? What's everyone's thought on this?
  8. Perhaps you have to keep the crosshair on the target for X amount of time for a lock?

  10. That is ALOT better then most games. I'm sure you can come up with something. Plus the voxels are not limited to square and they have talked about adding a smoothing tool later.

  12. I see no harm in having multiple accounts what so ever. It gives solo players the ability to do many task at once, and as in the case of pay to play gives the devs more money. Unless having multiple accounts would break or abuse a game mechanic then why care? Now certain macros with multi-boxing that's another story.

    That is a really good idea, though you are missing a component. How do your shields "see" incoming fire? branching from this you would need an additional radar system for the shields. But being a combat ship you most likely would already have this.

  17. Really depends on a few factors. 1. whats the starting gear? At this moment we know we will have a RN, nanoformer, and basic recipes. So there will be very little fighting the first few hours. 2. How many people will there be? How many Arks will there be? I hope there are few people to start with and slowly (but not to slow) more join so there is not a huge rush for a land grab. 3. How fast can we traverse the environment? The land grab really won't be a big issue if we can move pretty quick across the land but if not that might be an issue. 4. How easily can we find resources? How readily can we acquire said resources? 5. How much food, water, oxygen, and what ever else will we have? How easy can these be replenished? Will we have to go back to the ark to get these at first?

I remember hearing (i think it was in the interview with xpgamers) that it would be possible to implement it into the game you would just have to use a kinda 3D printer to create such things. and I want to say it is something they are hoping to add but not anytime soon. Then again I could just be talking out my ass. Either way i hope you can one day.

    Love the idea of shields, and though I really dislike CaptainTwerkmotor I have to agree with him there should not be personal shields unless something like a riot shield, I also agree about the TCU concept of a bubble around the city. In one of the blog post (here) they said there will be a TCU in the game and the ground claimable by a person or faction should be shielded if sufficient power is provided to the TCU. Ship shields on the other hand i think should be handled differently, something like from the depths you can place a shield and select a size for said shield and you will need multiple shields one or more for each side.
  21. Now what will be interesting would maybe some sort of API support for exporting in game data to a 3rd party program like in eve. Or maybe client side GUI "improvements" but we are still a long way off from that. As for wickedcody123 I think he is just trolling.
  22. Some people don't wanna live in spawn. As soon as we can me and my friends are gonna build a fleet and head out into the unknown. try to find a place to claim for our selfs. in order to do so properly we are gonna need supplies and maybe an oort cloud could be one way of getting some of those supplies.

Didn't see someone had already posted this but here are my 2 cents anyways At this stage, it is not clear if we will have enough time until the alpha to implement NPC animals to come and bother you during the night, as well as serve as hunting preys. But that’s the idea, because you will need to feed yourself, and the nanoformer cannot make wood-based lunch for you! There will be food and water needs as well as other considerations you need to take into account; Your first task will be to create a safe house to protect yourself from the cold of the night, as the temperature differences on this planet are much stronger than on the Earth. Now the real consideration is how this will be implemented. I think The more complex the meal the long you will have to go before eating. So if you have the cheapest most basic thing you can find to eat then you going to be eating much more often than if you spent a small amount of time to actually prepare something or buy the little bit more expensive food. Most that do not want food just don't want immersion and only care about combat. Also if we don't need food or water why need oxygen? Or fuel for our ships? Or power for anything?
