Its not a question of playing solo or not. I can play in a org of 20 and non of the members want to play the industrialist game. Its a question of the economy not working. Of ppl switching to internal org trade instead of openly trading on the markets. Its a question about 2 or 3 markets on the same planet having a very limited offer while 50-100 markets on other planets have ZERO offers. Its a question of ECUs costing 200k. Its a question of not being able to find a AGG supplier, no matter how much quanta i offer. Its a question of a player driven economy that players dont want to drive.

I dont like industry. But because of BS prices, im forced to have my own fuel and warp cell factory. I wander, if anyone is able to play the game without owning or having a friend that owns industry. 100% using the market to sell ore and by elements. If yes, can you tell me what have you managed to buy/own?

NQ - please fix the blueprint issue
joaocordeiro replied to blazemonger's topic in General Discussions
According to what we were able to figure out(may not be 100% true) : The problem happens when a custom lua is added to the control unit. Apparently NQ decided to save the lua with the control unit even when its put back on inv. I noticed this when I saw some debug messages I had created appear on a newly spawned seat. So to save the custom lua, NQ is creating a different internal ID for each modified control unit. Blueprints use the not modified hover seat. But once put in place it becomes something else and cannot be used in a BP. I guess this is an iteration to be able to protect lua IP in the future. But in the meanwhile its breaking the game for the most sensitive ppl, the new player. As a quick workaround, i suggest NQ places bot sell orders for hover seat and ECU (and possible info button) for 1 quanta each. Seeing new players finding that their only solution is to buy a ECU priced at 200k (by some unscrupulous player) is quite sad. -
Error 100 and 106 explained. Please sticky?
joaocordeiro replied to Anopheles's topic in General Discussions
Well, I would not be surprised if that part of the code was still not developed -
Its out of respect for our time and effort that they dont wipe. Bugs are bugs. The only thing i think NQ did wrong was to promise this beta time would count for release.. To me, beta was just another test period and at the end, every thing would be wiped.

Because i have not broken NDA.

Smaller ships can have big weapons and big radars. Shooting at greater range. If the ship has better acceleration and enough ammo, it can keep firing always out of range to be fired upon.
-
Alpha backers cant do anything but report. We cant directly say anything without also breaking NDA. NDA breaking topics need to be deleted. Only mod can do that. Everyone seeing NDA being broken should report it.
-
I did report you once. Your comment was deleted, and i had confitmation from moderation that every one on that topic got a warning.

Error 100 and 106 explained. Please sticky?

I kind of agree with NQ on this one. HTTP error standard exists to enable debug between 2 diferente software providers. NQ uses their own server with their own client. There is no need for them to expose the client server mechanics. I am assuming they will eventualy remove all error codes and replace them with simple words like "DNS ERROR" or "Invalid Password". -
You are a member since 2016 and you dont know how NDA works? Its not the 1st or 2nd time your comments have been reported and deleted. Keep stretching your limits and you may find the bad part of NDA....
-
Be carefull buying those ships. Some of them cant reach space without talents.
-
Small ships actualy have the advantage here. The larger the radar, the farther it can lock The larger the target, the farther it can lock No manual fire is planned. NQ has expressed desire to improve detection mechanics. And has mention something close to jamming mechanisms. But nothing for the near future.

If you are a alpha player and i am a beta player i can 100% lie and tell you that you used bug X to make 10000000 quanta. And you can't say you did not because you can't talk about the bug. So i can acuse you and you cant defend your self. Aka coward.

Orbital Mechanics 101: Avoiding lithobraking.

Kind of hard to debug just based on that info. But as far as i know, the install process requires admin rights to install the anti cheat program. Could that be the cause?

What does breaking the game and making money has to do with respecting NDA?

Can we put bigger guns on smaller cores?
joaocordeiro replied to lucagrabacr's topic in General Discussions
Something PVPers dont want you to know: The smaller the core, the closer you can identify it and shoot. So a XS core can identify and fire on a L core well before the L core can identify the XS core. This is a broken mechanic that states that on a 1 vs 1 battle the smaller, more agile core will be able to fire all its ammo before the larger core can even start firing. XS weapons???? Whats the advantage of carrying a 8km weapon when the enemy can obliterate you from 40km? How small is a chance to miss when it's calculated based on angular velocity (virtually zero at 40km?) If you cant have a L radar and a M or L railgun, you dont even need to bother having guns. You are just cannon fodder. -
Just because some youtubers makes some NDA info public, does not mean that NDA is lifted. An alpha backer is not permited to comment any NDA covered stuff. And if you are a Beta player, sure you are not covered by NDA. But you still have low moral standards to spread what someone should not have told you. NDA breaking is 100% unfair because ppl that can actually reply with a argument from experience, are not permited to do so. Its a coward move.
