  1. One of this days, i will have to reinstall DU just to play with that
  2. Requires a complex action for every new interaction. Quite different from simply walking to some guy, pressing V and saying "hi"
  3. I mean, i have nothing against some fun. But i wander why some guy had to create 2 new accounts on the last 30 minutes to promote and agree with his own promotion.
  4. Did they legalized drugs in some new country or state?
  5. It's not a critique. It's a "some context please?"
  6. I looked at this thread in 3 distinct times during this day. And I don't get it. Why was a topic opened about some dude/group of dudes saying some stuff?
  7. We eat chocolate with a fork... If you only experienced voice chat in crap games like LOL... Sure typing words in a chat its probably better. But have you ever tried any roleplay gamemod? Like saint Andrea's life? Or altis life? That is a game changer.
  8. Yea, directional voice chat is quite important for any kind of roleplay. But also important for socialization in general. This is usually done with a 3rd party lib that is fed up with player coordinates. But i wander what would happen if 10k players got together in the same place and screamed. Hopefully it would reduce sound rendering distance automatically. Some kind of construct wide announcement systen would also be cool. And yea, with a opt out switch in options...
  9. Ppl doing that should get a perma ban and if they were invited by someone, that some one should get a warning.
  10. But its a mistake that a, somewhat new, programmer, without a good overview of the entire project, could make.
  11. Lol, what are the chances that they filtered "used in the last 30 days" with "had their core rendered by any player" ?
  12. Well, we have seen NQ doing this kind of miscalculation in the past.
  13. Without knowing why, i would abstain from negative comments. Its clear they wanted to. Somethimg happened. Maybe the just passing near a construct resets the 30 day criteria. Maybe they executed the script and every construct in DU got deleted and they had to rollback. Lets hope they find a way to fix it.
  14. Love that this does not punish players. I hope this kind of mechanism becomes automatic.
  15. Well, in general yea... Why do we have a personal 17 core limit after weeks of talent training when 500k quanta + few hours gives us hundreds?
  16. Just means that a single guy could be responsible for ALL existing organizations's bonus. If he were to spend his entire day entering and exiting orgs.
  17. Acording to that it cloud be (5*5)*2^5*2^5 = 25600 This happens if we apply 200% on top of the last 200%
  18. If thats the case, a org can have a near infinit number of cores with 1 single legate with core talents. 1 create sub org (any player can do it) 2 give RDMS rights to main org 3 add legate with core talents with it. 4 fill sub org with cores 5 legate quits sub org 6 go back to step 1. Even more, in theory only 1 player in the entire DU is needed to give the bonus to all orgs. Here is his advertisement: "1M quanta for 1 hour of being the a legate on your org" Then a org would use the personal limits for a while and from time to time hire that guy and use his hour to transfer personal ships to org.
  19. I dont know op... I go to the grocery store several days a week and i dont really feel the need or the joy to socialize. Ppl already buy engines via market without even knowing who is the seller. How would it be different from your extra buffed materials? Also, how good is socialization if it is forced this way? Will it be more than? : - Got 100l of iron at level of quality X? - Sure, its 20000k - Tnx cya To me the solution is NPCs. The best socialization is the one that ppl opt in. Groups of players planing to take out a NPC fortress would be opting in. And would willingly socialize.
  20. A question i have is what happens if the legate giving his org talent bonus leaves the org. Lets say that an org has only 1 legate giving it the talent of "275" cores. And that org in fact takes ownership of 275 ships. What happens of that legate leaves the org? A - Nothing. The org will not be able to get more cores but the cores remain and the ex-legate is now free to promote another org. This is bad.... Means the legate can just keep joining and then, when the cap is full he can just leave. B - The legate can join another org, but bonus will not be added. Would be a better option, but still cause issues with canceled subscriptions. As in theory, ppl could create phantom subscriptions just to create orgs for more cores and then cancel the subscription without any consequence. C - Extra cores are abandoned(maybe with a warning to all legates and a timer). Not a bad solution, but we would see some drama and betrayal, with this mechanism, in the future. D - Legate is prevented from leaving the org until another with a compensating talent is present. Good technical solution. But could lead to some situations where players cannot leave a relationship that went bad... E - Instead of a fix talent ammount on a org and a fix ammount of orgs, org core talents should give the legate a fix number of org cores that he can freely divide has he pleases by his orgs. Then, if he leave a org, the points are still set for that org and can only be removed (one by one) if cores are removed from the org. This is the way i would implement if i was deciding this.
  21. Im sure NQ database has some kind of limit, as all digital systems have. But an org can keep accepting new members and ask them to create new sub orgs. So, as long as orgs can be created and org owners can set RDMS rights on the main org, its practically "infinite"
  22. Also worth noting that orgs will require one of their members(legate?) to have org core skills to have that ammount of cores. But those members can be part of multiple orgs and "give" their bonus to all orgs they are part of. So an org can increase their core count by creating sub orgs.
  23. Hum, i had the impression we start with level 1 already learned, and that would give us the 2 cores we start with. Making 5 * 2 + 5 * 1 = 15 personal cores.
