B4nd1t
Transfer engines to... mhmm... engines and let them be linkable to an exhaust. The exhaust get obstruction areas and all linked engines lose there obstruction areas. InvestorStallone and Hirnsausen
Taelessael
It would be more accurate to call what we have now "thrusters" instead of engines, but I don't see why you'd want to make them require an exhaust-element. Could you please explain the purpose/advantages to such?
RugesV
You mean you want intake? Where an intake needs to be placed and linked to an engine? or you talking about separating the combustion chamber and pumps from the nozzle where you place the nozzle on the outside and the combustion chamber and pumps where ever you want but need to link them together? It would give us some more freedom and possibilities for our ship designs. And I would also add my own suggestion in this regard, but doing that inside an own thread. B4nd1t
I thought about it as "engines" + "thrusters / exhaust". So you can link up to 10 engines on 1 thruster and build ships without the engine walls we all love. That is my point 🙂
Taelessael
Ah, a sensible desire, though part of the issue there results from people being uncreative in their engine placement... Larger engine elements or this suggested multi-engine to a single thruster idea would both help.
