Terra-forming TAX instead of Territory TAX

If there is a problem on terraforming database (tunnels), then problem still exists and eventually situation may be the same as now.

Why not make Terraforming more expensive?

Fee for Terraforming actions

Weekly Tax to tiles which has Terraforming applied.

This way players can opt-on about are the willing to pay taxes.

To enable existence of current great cities and other constructs, they could apply to be free of taxes. But new terraforming would not be tax-free.

  • kulkija changed the title to Terra-forming TAX instead of Territory TAX

A tax is a punishment for all players, no matter where you introduce it now. We should stop shoving this tax at each other and avoid taxes in general. Man, whatever happened to the basic idea of this game?

I agree by 100%

Territory tax is fundamental change of the game.

We, players should use our voice to speak out and say NO to these taxes.
I'm just curious about why this Territory tax is introduced.

Problem with terraforming TAX is that it does not solve NQ's problem.

NQ simply can't handle long term growth in the game, and that is why they introduced territory tax. Their goal is not to limit the rate of growth, but to actually remove long term growth. So in other words, DU the MMO game with persistent building is dead..

If they can't handle growth in the game, if there are so few players to generate it, the game concept in general has failed. Of course, NQ can still quickly turn the game into something else, but the actual intention seems to be no longer feasible at present and in the near future.
It would simply be fairer to communicate this instead of continuing to make fun of the players. Some people really still believe that DualUniverse could work to this extent.
