Not everyone is familiar with the jargon used in on-line gameplay (especially seniors like me), so I'll attempt to add to this list.

  • Doxxing - Doxing, or doxxing, is the Internet-based practice of researching and publicly broadcasting private or identifying information about an individual or organization. The methods employed to acquire this information include searching publicly available databases and social media websites, hacking, and social engineering.(Wikipedia)
  • Nerf/Nerfing - The act of making something worse or weaker (urbandictionary.com). Usually refers to the Game Developers (Dev's), or server administrators, reducing the reward for a particular action. For example, Reducing the amount of reward (loot) for mining a rock or mineral.
  • Ganked - To be killed without mercy on a MMORPG for the sport of it (urbandictionary.com). For example, if you are new to the game with only minimal defences or resources, being killed by a more experienced player.  Repeated attacks on newer players is often considered a form of bullying.
  • NOOB/Newbie - A new player to the game.

I thought they were called surrogates, not robots.
