Why not just charge 30% more on steam than direct via home page then?

They have to find it first. Are there any current examples of non-safe stations that have yet to be found?
That would be hard to prove since nobody's found them yet.A bit like the DU version of Bertrand Russell's Golden Teapot. lol.
True, they have to find the station first, but obfuscation alone is rarely a successful military strategy: Merely delaying the inevitable. At some point you WILL be found and at that point you are toast...
Here is actual proof from my neck of the woods that even a master ninja gets detected eventually:

Here is NQ driving game logic:
warning, unlike other NQ game mechanics, this one is surprisingly fulfilling, complicated and highly nuanced so be warned that the learning curve to know whether or not your space station is in danger is steep:
if SpaceStation in SafeSpace:
state = everyThing100pcAllOK
else:
state = youreBasicallyFukt
I know it’s a lot to take in but this is 2022, and sandbox games are deep af these days. -
They should just do what literally every other company does by creating a forum for these discussion threads.
but NQ love doing things other companies don’t.

I guess I would feel smaller.

Thanks guys. That was just the information I was looking for.

I've seen reference to a skill accelerator "event" that apparently gifts 100% bonus to SP gain in the first month, 50% bonus for the second third and fourth months and 25% for the fifth and sixth month after the game starts.
- Is this to everyone regardless of backer status? Do we just have to have an active account for those months to get the bonus?
- In the same release notes gumph, it says, "Please make sure you have 6 months of skills queued up"... But why, though? I don't see the need.
- So if one was a backer for 13+ months or or a Kickstarter or patron, what happens to our skill points? That wasn't mentioned in the release notes.
If anyone less confused than me could explain, I'd be most grateful.

Maybe add something about the colors, people with color blindness see only one.
To all those who are colourblind, there are three different colours used in this graph: They have absolutely no relevance to anything.
Just like the magnitude of the Y axis has apparently has no relevance.

I can't remember the last time I used my native language (Dutch) in an (online) game...
that was my thread written back when the game appeared to have a chance of working.
You can clearly understand English. Japanese people generally ONLY use and understand Japanese. A few have a basic grasp of English at a primary school level. A tiny few can speak English and are treated like gods by their brethren.
I know because I’ve been here since the 90s. I have met maybe only a dozen or so fluent English speakers in that time.
I made the hiragana font library a few years ago as a stopgap measure but rely on Discord for Japanese support.

It’s crazy that even with just the 13 regular members they have on their discord that they have to resort to bots. Lol

What puzzle?

Actually the post you shared is protected under NDA. You and I hve NDA access so we can see it but I tried and my second account can’t access it.
the NDA stated that nothing covered by the NDA can be displayed outside of NDA only forums EVEN AFTER THE NDA HAS BEEN LIFTED.
So I guess you fell foul of that particularly draconian piece of legislature.
I still think an outright ban is too harsh, though. NQ have no sense of perspective, IMO.

I wont play this game again.
3000k hours of your life scammed away with a false promise and you still think about playing this game. Its your choice, but loyalty like this make such behavior from companies possible.
But i can understand itThree MILLION hours.... FML... That's a lot of scam. I'd be angry, too, if I lost over 300 years of my life to a scam.

Appreciate the update. I am sure this decision was not easy but you did an excellent job explaining everything and have now given the playerbase a clear answer.

You ruined it!
Not a great sign when this game's only PR efforts gets a few hundred views -- the last few videos haven't even crossed 700 views 😕
It's almost like people have given up on watching these videos because they know it won't be especially relevant or answer any real questions. Wouldn't be a huge deal if NQ engaged in other ways, but they don't.
Their weekly "video" is really the only effort they make in talking at their customers.
You should see their twitter "feed"... LOL. It's sparser Engineers' Date night at university (apparently... O_o).

Increasing the skill points for achievements could encourage players to play the game and not to by alt accounts to get passive skill points instead. That would mean more server load and less income. That's not what NQ is interested in.
Oof. That’s cold, bro.
but also true. -

Nano-Crafter, no Schematics needed.
Interesting. I wasn't aware you could craft T2 fuel in your nanopack... Must be a feature introduced in the 12 months since I last played.

By thrusters, do you mean engines?
You can use engines facing in any direction and they will fire as needed (ex: upward facing engine will fire when you are pressing C to go down). This does not work exactly like adjustors do however. Adjustors will roll, pitch, and yaw on the center axis of the ship. Engines push the entire ship from the direction they are facing. So an engine at the top front will not tilt the ship downward like an adjustor, it will just push the whole ship down without changing the pitch.
You can enable torque. And then they do rotate the ship. Problem is that you need to use LUA and engine tags to fire them independently.
-
And the 50 remaining customers will have to spend thousands every month to make this game viable.

@Aaron Cain Ah, the limitless sandbox: Entirely built and driven by players, except for the game bits, apparently.
Aphelia created schematics with
aphelia chosen artificial limits.
Aphelia built marketplace onaphelia built property
Aphelia owned market storage charging
aphelia calculated taxes.
Aphelia taxed sales accessed from
aphelia built consoles.
Aphelia designed mining units withaphelia controlled remote kill switches
Aphelia controlled armistice zones protecting
aphelia taxed planets with
aphelia taxed hexes.
Aphelia controlled deep space scanners listing
aphelia leaked info on other players' activities.
This list was just off the top of my head, apologies, Aphelia, if I have forgotten to attribute something to you.

Third time downloading 6.3 or so GB v 0.31 this week... Luckily I have 2.5G Ethernet on a 2GB/s fibre optic and am located in Tokyo so downloads buzz by... But I believe that NQ have to pay for server total bandwidth, so this is going to hurt them if many players are having to redownload multiple gigabytes multiple times.
Strange thing is that I actually "played" the downloaded game for 10 minutes to queue up my skills but just now it asked me to download again...
