Yeah I had a feeling it was so. So that takes care of the curiosity! Clarification is much appreciated. Thanks Nyzaltar! BTW gratz on your 100th post!
And it's now 1:13am... Time to pass out!

Even seen the futuristic buildings in Dubai???

Them things are so gorgeous! If the times lets me, in the future that is, I am so looking forward to build a city like such...

Or rather something like the city in TomorrowLand.

As for interiors for ships... something green, (plants, trees, water) always makes it more 'home-ie'.

Oh yes different themed ships would be absolutely gorgeous. Imagine an oriental themed ship like Saffi suggested with the red and black and gold trim. Beautiful. Or an Old World style combined with holograms. Similar to steampunk which is very nice.

    Aesthetics are my favorite.

Dreamstar got a reaction from Dociel in DevBlog: Resurrection Node Mechanics
Going back to review the plausibility of a resurrection node. I was actually woken up today, may 25th, by this thought.

It's possible the universe doesnt care too much about you being alive or being dead. and that the RN is able to present an argument to the fabric of time space saying "Hey that person isnt dead they've been standing right here." Taking only the energy to produce a wave strong enough to counter argue the universe.

The universe attempting to keep its substance unified, just goes "Oh, my mistake" and will begin to recreate you from the most recent point it thought you were alive. Resulting in you being "Respawned" on the RN pad.

Think of it like a puddle of water, and something causes a ripple, this event was your death. This machine the RN says these ripples arent true producing a counter ripple that negates the death ripple from its location. And thus causes you to ressurect on the pad.

If a principle that all matter exists everywhere, but is awaiting input from a stronger force, probably time, location, and quantity. I suggest that when the machine makes the argument you never died and the universe goes "Ok, lets see." It performs its checks to see if you already exist in order to prevent a single line paradox, because if you did exist, it would probably make a fork in the road producing a parralell universe instead of breaking an already existing timeline.

If you were dead, it would make a bridge gap between whatever point it thought you were alive at, and the time that the machine is saying you are alive now. Bringing someone back from a long time ago may not be possible due to some kind of degradation of signal or the initial Death Wave is too far away for the Negation Wave to ever catch up, or even that the death wave already moved through the entire puddle and there isnt anything to Negate anymore. Or bringing someone from very far away for a similar purpose of wave degredation.

The difference between say, the machine being told to recreate a broken ship, and recreate you, is that the universe knows that the iron exists somewhere else already, but when it checks for your consciousness and doesnt find it, it thinks  it has messed up and then attempts to correct itself to prevent a rip in the timeline.
I would ask a theoretical physicist for an opinion. or someone with a good understanding of math. If someone is really interested in making the RN work as realistically as possible.

    Hello Everyone,

Comrademoco here, just wanted to stop-by and introduce myself, give a little background on who I am, maybe about my gaming community/guild and how I came across Dual Universe, might be a long intro... lol sorry!

    About Me
My gaming life started around when I was about 6 or somewhere around there, back when the PS2 was the thing and GTA: San Andreas was the thing as well. From there on, my gaming life grew and grew, until the point where I found myself gaming, not only in my PS2 but in an old Computer. Couple years later I moved into creating my own Personal Gaming Computer, which I've grown to love and care for, and after 3 years of using it, it still works like a charm!!!

Now I got into many mmos, under different names and what not. Soon I realized that I needed my own gaming name, and thus, the gaming tag "Comrademoco" came about. Years have passed and I still run about that name.

Now I play several, not a lot, but several MMO's like; STO, SWTOR, LoL, War Thunder, EvE Online amongst others, but this also includes single non-mmo games like Civilization and Rome Total War.

    ~Information no longer relevant ~
    My Gaming Community
I am a big player of STO, this led me to create a fleet with-in the universe of players like me, who shared the goal of; "Having fun in a safe gaming environment" During the years there, such fleet grew and grew to the point of becoming a large and possibly one of the Primary fleets within STO... however, this did not satisfy the part of the goal "gaming environment" thus leading me to the foundation of "Borg Defiants Gaming" an international gaming community that currently spands between several games, and is currently looking to expand to more games... I currently serve as the Content Manager and Community Manager for all communities under "Borg Defiants Gaming"
    ~Information no longer relevant ~

    Dual Universe
I came across Dual Universe, when I was in the mists of getting bored with some of the games I play, at that time it was "STO" that I was playing... I just totally got bored, and decided to look for games that met this criteria:

    1. Space
    2. TRUE exploration
    3. TRUE sandbox/single shard
    4. Ability to create own ships

With those goals in mind, I set for a course to the never ending land of.... Google.... Hehe and after a few hours, I came across a list of some "Top 10 upcoming space MMOs" I clicked on the link, and I read on the author's ramblings, sorting through the games, non of which appealed to me what so ever, but alas, I came across number 10.... Dual Universe. I read the info on the game, and its drew my attention. (To which this day I don't understand why it was number 10) And so I came to the website. Long story short... I read every... single... blog the devs have put up, and every single area of the website, this.... led me to, as one of my comments in one of the blogs... "Drool" over the game...

Overall I look forward to the games development and full launch and hope I can become part of it, via supporting it and playing it!!!

I was going to propose something like this. Unfortunately, there's not much information on the gameplay mechanics for me to make a list. But special skills, items, stats, etc. should definitely be a reward based on reputation.

I may have oversimplified the good/evil concept a bit, what's your take on neutrality or 'in between' reps?

This also makes me think of the possibilities of coding some AI at starting points, home planets...
Heavily secured areas sort to say, that recognize, the highest bounties and block access to that player. In the sense that they get refused service, higher tax rates, refusage to dock at stations, not being clear to land on planets, even the possibility of AI kill on sight. Something a long the lines saffi mentioned.

Dreamstar got a reaction from KlatuSatori in Radials for communication
Many of the growing community here have been talking and thinking about how to communicate with our teams quickly.
The idea of voicechat is great, but complicated.

Not yet knowing how groups may or may not work makes it difficult to formulate this concept. Either way, If there was an option to hold down a button, maybe the letter T on the keyboard, causing a radial menu to appear at the mouse with a few options that you pick to put on the radial hotbar.

The functionality could be altered in several ways, depending on whats realistic to implement into the game.
Spatial chat only Party chat, (i.e. 5 man group) Raid chat Prompt pre-recorded voice the developers put in to speak. Just an example : Jim the Industrialist/ Builder repair man is down in the guts of the ship trying to fix parts as everything is blowing up.
He might be in a random pick up group. or with friends. Maybe their Teamspeak server went down. Everything is going bad. He pushes T and mouses over "Reactor Critical" and clicks. In his group chat an automated message shows up -Reactor Critical, Abandon ship!" which could or not prompt a voice command to the group with a similar message.
Jim also usually joins group as a repairman, so he set his hotbar up to include messages related to ship parts, Engines Down, Hyperdrive Down, Reactor Critical, et cetera.

Allowing players to put in their own text is a double edged sword I would personally stay away from.
Would likely need input delays / cooldown timers to prevent abuse / spam.
A possible advantage of a system like this, is that with a single game world, I believe there will be many Players, French most likely, Germans, Americans, Russians, Japanese, and so forth; Messages could be written in many languages so if a silly american like me can only talk like a baby in french, at the very least I will click Reactor Critical and it could show R?acteur Critique for the person with French set at their primary language.

    Congratulations on blowing my mind,
There is much more offered here than what I thought would be available, I can clearly see you all aren't just smart, but genius.

I believe when it comes to tag's they are a type of hard-code. Just like if I put a padlock on a door and only tell my best friend the combination. If we lived in a world without bolt cutters, nobody would be able to break the the lock. It all depends on if there will be a mechanic to bust into something, bypass the law, or even 'hack' a terminal.

I will also need to spend some time wrapping my mind around whats here and using some predictive analysis to write a post to help people structure their organisations.

When reading this, I instantly thought of a game called Smite and its voice commands.
    http://smite.wikia.com/wiki/Voice_Commands
On the wiki you can see phrases adjacent to letters such as V, VA, VAA and so on. You press the keys for whatever you're trying to communicate without having to type it out. It's a genius idea and saves a lot of time when communicating.

As a player of that game and having used the commands myself, I've actually memorized most of the list and have no trouble thinking of which keys to press for what I want to say. The DU team can pre-record messages and have a system just like this. It will be even better with translations if you can't understand the other person, minimizing the language barrier.

I can't believe I haven't thought of this in my voice communication post!

This idea does follow the same concept Eve Online took.

While it is a good idea, from my personal experience, the avatar displays on the chat... weren't all that, important, for lack of better word... however, something along the lines of displaying the character's look or face when opening a "View Character Stats" would be much better imo.  This however doesn't necessarily follow the "in game avatar on chat" but it does follow the same concept.

This also draws my attention to "bounties" on players, I'm sure that in Dual Universe will greatly implement this, being able to see a players avatar on the 'Bounty' HUD or Viewscreen of a ship, can add a layer of realism...

Anyways, I feel like I'm going off topic... but to cap, avatars on chat box (from my experience in Eve) isn't all that... intriguing.  Maybe clicking on the character name and brining that "character stat" window I mentioned earlier.

Let's just see how that goes after launch...

Dreamstar reacted to Astrov in The Honor System
Hello everyone, I want to introduce a reputation system dubbed "The Honor System". It's a record of a player's prestige, fame, status, and reputation. Every player will be recorded in THS (unofficial term), and will be listed according to their social interactions. This may be because of their sincerity or insincerity, depends on each individual and how they want to be perceived.

Let's imagine a scenario of a player committing vandalism, theft, and hostility within a community. Most likely they would get a negative reputation in the honor system and this will affect all their social interactions, maybe being denied certain services, while having access to services exclusive to that reputation.

There will be two extremes, good and evil, very much like paragon and renegade in Mass Effect. I'm not sure if there will be a neutral status like paragade, so that's open for discussion.

Players will also be able to gain status and become famous, whether it be by a "wanted" poster or otherwise. Ultimately becoming good or evil, depending on choices, and there will be benefits and consequences to both sides that I haven't thought out yet.

I think this is perfect for any role-player out there!

I mulled the idea over a bit, I think my stance on the subject is neutral.

It isnt something that will affect the way i play the game.Marriage is probably best left an unofficial mechanic, just something people roleplay in their characters biography and with friends.
