Another problem with this is that computer storage is finite, and what do you do when a bunch of people start uploading gigabyte hour-long hd videos? I think there should be a limit on how much you can upload in terms of bytes.

Have the display link to a youtube video

Outside the Safe Zone there's likely a lot of litter. Destroyed hoverships, ruins of fortresses or bases, more half arsed/finished projects. It creates a perfect area for bandits and pirates to hide and ambush your ass. This will be in any direction outside the dome for perhaps a KM before you reach untouched flora and founa.

We call this place... The Badlands

Accounts are treated as one person by the rest of the community and NQ. So if someone on an account does something, everyone on that account has to live with it. This could come in the form of a ban or even something such as getting kicked out of an org because a character on the account is in a rival group.

I don't think that other players can tell if two characters are from the same account (I also don't think they should), but NQ can.

  5. To clarify, NQ will treat one account as one person. If you are sharing the account, the actions of one of the users pertains to the entire account. For example, if one user breaks the terms of service (such as hacking or harassment), and the account gets banned, you can't use the excuse 'that was my friend who was sharing the account". You also cannot multibox with just one account, since only one character per account can be logged in at one time.

Disclaimer: I do not condone sharing an account with someone else.

I don't know anything about Reddit, but wouldn't NQ be able to reach out to Reddit and request that they have power over it? Or at least have it redirected to /r/dualthegame ?

Thats not how that works. If it did, imagine if some companies use this to maliciously hide information that is outside the subreddit they moderate (such as a community run subreddit that shows how bad the devs are)

So throw your master blueprints in a bunker somewhere deep underground on a planet 10000's LY's away. Wait we can build stations? So hell even a station in deep space randomly. Maybe if it's small enough it can't be detected by probes and such?

Or put all your blueprints in a single data center surrounded by a forcefield where the people there can copy the blueprints when needed (like Scarif from Rogue One)

  8. You could have a signature that determines which org it was designed by stored in the core. It would be weird to see a TIE fighter (built solely by the Empire) with a Rebellion signature. Since you cant view the scripts of a ship unless you have authorisation, the buyer would know that the Empire ship design with a Rebellion signature would not have the same scripts that the Empire version does (since in order to bootleg a ship you would need to destroy it's core, losing all the scripts and its signature). The signature could also have the name of the master blueprinter (since those are tied to your account rather than in inventory) to give more challenge to the forgery.

Edit: In addition, the signature could also contain the date at which the master blueprint was made.

  9. You could convert the ownership of anything owned by the previous org over to a new one, through whatever means available, with the person you want to mutiny against not being in said org. For a board of directors, you could have it so certain people have a tag and if a x/y majority vote to kick another one of them out, they do so.

  10.  "like this kind of scripting used in  the game 'scrap mechanic', or more along the line of Python, java and big things like that?"

Its along the lines of java, python and big things like that. Depending on what you want to script, the amount of code could vary in size. For example, if you want an inventory sorting system (put certain items in certain cargo containers), thats going to take a while to script, whereas making a view screen display a sentence at the press of a button can be done in a few lines. If you have a decent understanding of how other game scripting works (like scrap mechanic) it should be easy to learn LUA. The only thing that will prove difficult is learning how you do certain actions (like comparisons, inputs, outputs, etc.) in LUA.

But if you are not so much into scripting, you can either ask someone else to do it for you (which may include monetary exchange) or buy one off the market (which will include monetary exchange).

  11. I personally would prefer the bigger planet since that would be able to sustain future generations for more time.

Remember that Alioth is not the only planet, right? Bigger planets would make controlling them even more of a nightmare for the wannabe space empires out there.

  12. ...cause EVE, unlike Astroneer, or Starmade or Empyrion, has a realistic economy :)

I think that's mainly down to there being only a handful of players at a time rather than several thousand (except astroneer, that has no pvp, so no end-game goal).

  13. As someone who has a channel, the above suggestions are helpful. I would also suggest playing around with different genres, because games you like to play don't always match with games that you are good at recording (as an example, I don't normally play Space Engineers). Find a game/niche that synergises with your personality quirks.

I would also keep away from doing more than one video per day, since it will cause an overall drop in quality and chew up your time.

If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!

  14. I also was thinking T2 armours are lighter in general since they use special (non-powered) metamaterials and other very advanced fabrics or whatever like carbon nanotubes.

I think at the starting tech level, this is pretty standard stuff (we have nanobots that build the materials, it would be easy to make). Think of those materials being baseline, rather than T2

  15. I think the nature of this game will require a suicide button. NQ seems to be kinda unspecific about survival mechanics like food. Those mechanics usually act as suicide buttons of sorts. Without that it would be incredibly easy to trap an offline player forever in some box.

Technically, you could manually activate the quantum resurrection mechanic to respawn at your RN or the Arkship.
