  1. As much "free or rich" as their citizens are or feel themselves, individually, within them ... And ("democratic" or not) states actually can't do that, but getting it worse, programming "their" citizens in many, many ways, subtly making them unable to take charge of their own lives (because they really don't want to), as individuals and as collective. That's my point. But also I feel that all of this it's not wrong ultimately. It is like it is, every moment. Could it be different of what it is? Those who absolutely believe in free will (and in humans as separated entities) would say yes. I better don't say anything about that. And that's, my friend, a wise intend... specially if you don't make place to any expectation. Have fun and thanks for this talk.
  2. I understand -and till certain point I like- these well intended efforts, although they are still external to the problem. And that's the reason why, in the end, they wont work. Because (always in my feel and from an inmediate perspective) problems starts when a mass of people is in such immature and helpless state, that they are willing to cede and put their power (and their voice and vote) in the hands of social/human farmers or shepherds. Representatives or politicians, I meant... So, for me, it is rather a question of conscience (or awareness). Individual conscience and -then- collective.
  3. I'd like to say, if you let me, that "representative democracy" leads to corruption naturaly, in my view. Just look all representative democracies. However, those representatives represents actually the collective consciousness. Just as there can be no shepherds without a flock. That's my view, anyway. Each one will have to reflect on it to get his/her own criteria. Good luck!
  4. Hello, i've just sent you a message.

  5. Hello! And lets drink cappuccino together.
  6. Hello Peregrin, some fresh news here: The first agreement has been signed between Sovereign Integral of Tilo and Interkosmos Alliance. Under a model I created specially for this kind of treaties, called Friendly Liaison Agreement (FLA), this agreement is signed to benefit and improve both organizations and members, becoming all parters in equal terms. I like to thank the Pressident of Interkosmos Alliance, Commodore AcidFog, for such a productive and kind contact. Alsan Teamaro, Sovereign of Tilo --- ABOUT THE FLA MODEL The FLA model is below these lines. Everybody is free to download (see link below) and use it or to create other derivated models. The Friendly Liaison Agreement provides a basic, easy and reliable way for organizations to start peaceful and productive relations. .................................................. Friendly Liaison Agreement Signing parties: (x / x) 1. This is a treaty by which both organizations establish friendly relations based on: 2. Mutual recognition. Organizations recognize each other and officially as free and independent organizations (and, where appropriate, micronations). 3. Special shared membership. The members of each organization also become members of the other as partners (they respond only to the regulation of their primary organization), with the right to: 4. Free transit of members and merchandise. In the territories belonging to the members of the organization with which this Friendly Liaison Agreement has been signed. 5. All this, in accordance with the respect, integrity and goodwill between the parties. 6. Once in force, the agreement is binding for both parties, although it can be revised and updated at any time, with the agreement of both parties. 7. OMG, that's a fantastic idea that I longed for to be implemented. Cheers!
  8. Glad to see this variety of activities and diversity of tastes in the same game. On my part, I suppose I'll be doing a little what I always did, but surely in new ways: combat pilot (this time with a security-protection-defense approach), building-crafting, maybe exploring and comercial and administrative things, who knows. Perhaps I end doing things I never expected, well, that's life, isn't it?
  9. Fantastic final rush! PS: y muy bueno tú, gatito peludo! Now, lets do what Meldrick suggest: end.
  10. That Kitty... what about the kitty... he saw it all....
  11. DU community is growing, and the game is being developed properly. But, by now... What is or will be your main focus of fun in DU? If more than one, choose them. Thanks for participating (see the poll above these lines).
  12. Life can die, really? I mean, if it's actually life... Can salt be sugar? MAYBE, people take a change of state as an end or extintion...
  13. So you were a kid in the 80's (me too). In Spain they were known as "los osos amorosos" (yes, it's true).
  14. All these issues of nature are really interesting (and fascinating), Orius, no doubt about it. Another thing is if they are really viable in the game... At least, by now they have other priorities, but "tomorrow day", who knows?
  15. I think so, mostly because is realistic and very practical for many purposes. It's something very useful and, in the end, I feel it's a matter of freedom to show or not show your nametags.
