  1. No, orgs can make alliances but I read the OP as one person joining more than one org ... I don't think that should be allowed

An alliance of organisations is an organisation in itself, that's how I understand the ingame mechanic. So, to join the alliance, every member of the org has to join (maybe automated, maybe manually)

  2. Has it been confirmed that there will be no way to crash your kilometer long ship into a cityscape, that some how the engines will stop before the ship can intersect with something else?

It has been shown and said in several interviews.

As for explosives: I propose shieldbreaker bombs for sieges and element-disabling "C4" charges for infiltration. This way, important infrastructure wouldn't be damaged, but attackers would still have potent ways to conquer/sabotage

  3. Anon, I like you, you're a nice person and what happened in Discord shouldn't have happened. But this seems like an extremely unnecessary thing to do, as everything important is handled by the EULA and NQ ToS. And while a lot of the things you wrote are good thoughts, they don't need to be stated and agreed upon in such a matter. Some of your points outright defy things like dictatorships, pirate gangs, bounty hunting and other "Non-democratic or non-legal" concepts, which nonetheless should be an accepted part of the game.

  4. Okay when I was reading your Q&A something came in mind to me. What do you think of this: killing people should be rewarded like you can steal a dead body before it re-spawns or a dead player releases some of its objects where he or she has been killed. In this way the killer is rewarded and the killed has penalty.

Looting systems have been discussed countless of times already. People will drop most of their inventory on death (I think that is what we agreed on), excluding master blueprints and DACs (and currency if I'm not mistaken)

  5. Now, I don't know the limits of vehicles in DU, as it is not out. But in theory, it might be possible to put enough hover engines under a large flat piece of a sturdy material to make it float. After that, you add generators, fuel storages, whatever is necessary as infrastructure. Now you can slowly build whatever you want on it. someones gotta calculate how much mass one engine can keep up and with these values, you just add engines whenever necessary. And after you are pleased with the size, you add some more engines to make up for passengers, shuttles that might land on it etc, depending on how the game handles this kind of stuff. Maneuvering this thing would be quite tedious, I imagine, as you will not be fast at all, but still stop accelerating a good amount of distance from your destination. In the end, it all comes down to two things: Will people be determined enough to keep the engines running and how well will it be protected? Because I can see some people destroying this marvelous thing just because...

    All embrace me
It's my time to rule at last
Twenty years have I been waiting
    To sit upon my throne

    No allegiance
    I will swear no oath
Crowned by NQ not by the church
    As my power is divine

They thought I was too young
    To rule the land
Just as they failed to understand
    I'm Born to rule

    My time has come

    I was chosen by JC
Say my name when you pray
    To the skies
    See Volcanov rise

    With Nyaltazar my protector
Make them bow to my will
    To the skies
    See Volcanov rise

    To the skies
    See Volcanov rise

    Proved in battle
    Led my men to victory
No man alive or dead commands me
    I answer to the Lord

    Hear my orders
    Question me and die
What I say was said in Discord
And so it shall be done

    I know I was destined
    To rule alone
All for myself I have claimed the throne
    Born to rule

    My time is now

    I was chosen by JC
Say my name when you pray
    To the skies
    See Volcanov rise

    With Nyaltazar my protector
Make them bow to my will
    To the skies
    See Volcanov rise

    To the skies
    See Volcanov rise

    Framåt Karoliner
    Fiendens dom är här

    Låt oss krossa dom
Kasta in dom genom helvetets portar

All that's thine shall be mine
    There is no stopping me

    All over DU
My rule shall be questioned by none

All I see give to me
    That is my decree

    My will be done

They thought I was too young
    To rule the land
Just as they failed to understand
    I'm Born to rule

    My time is now...

    I was chosen by JC
Say my name when you pray
    To the skies
    See Volcanov rise

    To the skies

    With Nyaltazar my protector
Make them bow to my will
    To the skies
    See Volcanov rise

    To the skies
    See Volcanov rise

  7. I hope to see large scale naval ships sailing the oceans as well, sometime in the near future, post release.  :D

If it does not make it into the initial release.

A ship might actually be possible, as long as you don't mind water bugging through the lower decks and damage being just a value, rather than "hits below the waterline do DOT" (hm... this might actually be possible, as long as 'below the waterline' is a fixed point on the ship... most of my statements are based on assumptions though)

  8. I'm really torn on this topic. I support the "People have to learn from their mistakes" approach the most, as it is the one without protections for people that don't take care of their stuff. I can also understand yamas point "If they do this now, what comes next?" But I see the point Gallo Infligo made with the scammers/griefers. I propose the following solutions:

    1. Have the DACs lootable, but put a big disclaimer on them, that they might be lost if carried outside of safezones. That way, even kids will know not to take them outside.

    2. Have the DACs non-lootable, but have a formal agreement with NQ that they  stick with "Only Master Blueprints and DACs are unlootable" (Which we kind of already have, I'm just stating it again)

    3. Have the DACs lootable, but with a protection-timer after they have been traded, so that the buyer has time to either use or safely store them. Now, I hear your furious typing: What if someone just keeps trading them back and forth to keep the protection? Simple: Put a cooldown on the tradeability that last at least an hour longer than the protection.

I hope I didn't miss anything and that we can come to an agreement soon, without losing any members of this great community. We may have our differences, but that is exactly what makes a society.
