  1. Perhaps it was misinterpreted or misunderstood by the translation. It was not about Eve for me. Let the players do whatever they want in eve. If you want or need to defend your territory, fine. I can understand everything. It's purely about the fact that you should not force PvE players into the PvP action. Let the PvP players have fun as they want, does not bother anyone....but please, then let the PvE players also their fun in the safe zone.
  2. I see no reason to wipe planets in the video. please enlighten us. Even if you had to delete the constructs on the planets, you could simply move them into space and rebuild them later. Ships on planets are simply flown into space. What exactly is to be changed on the planets? They still look quite empty and dead, there is no beautiful and atmospheric landscaping, it looks more like boring terrainset.
  3. if the agg ship didn't take such an extremely long time to get on or off, you might not have to leave it at this height. It is not the agg that is to blame, but the time and the minimum height. It would be great if you could also land/start on the ground with the agg, so that the agg works like an elevator. Sometimes it might help if you don't add more and more rules and prohibitions or aggravations to a game, but make it easier to finally "be allowed" to play.
  4. Not sure if her text was translated correctly to me.... What do new players expect? They come to a game where the main game content is the creation of constructs. So to give these constructs an added value, so that they don't just stand lifeless in space, you can now also move these structures dynamically and build vehicles to hover and fly, even fight each other with them (in the PvP zone). So a new player comes into a kind of huge world full of Lego bricks that they can use to build all sorts of things. When he's had enough of building, he can also pivot to PvP and destroy what he's built or try to take away from others. There is no normal game content in dualUniverse as many players might expect: no quest area, no main quest, no dungeons, no raids, no raids with healers-warriors-mages-tanks-supporters..., no arenas or world bosses. There is also no usual character development, as you know it from other games. So dyeing hair, different hairstyle, tattoos, a race or a special race - what you can do, color your own robot father. There are also no real professions to choose from, so no tailor, ore builder, blacksmith, potions maker, cook....the talent system in DualUniverse is relatively large, but not really deep and harmonious. But let's get back to the new player...he sees a planet or a moon, bare and monotonous with standard trees and stones generated from a mass program. In principle, the whole planet looks the same, every section. There is also nothing to discover. No caves or ruins, no treasures or riddles, no NPCs, animals or monsters, no buildings or roads, paths...anything.... So, you then stand at the start and diligently "play" through the tutorials to learn that you need ores. You get ores through MiningUnits or through asteroid mining. Asteroids = Space = not yet possible. So MiningUnits. You put them on your small area and wait. Exactly..you wait, but for what actually? Of course! So that you can build another MiningUnit with the ore from the Miningunit! Yay! Then you wait again....or you run around on the dead planet to do...no idea what....you could look at everything and then see that there is nothing to see. So all the players run around and watch everyone run around, great! when all miningunits are built and deliver ore, you can think about what you want to do with the coming ore: use it yourself for something, to build something or bring it to the market, sell it. Will there be market bots for ore acceptance now? Then you could get quanta. If you want more, you can also try to fly missions with the starter spaceship. Is that possible in terms of weight? Then one needs the ores thus for fuel, in order to make then quanta from it. Why do I need quanta then? Do the schematics remain or not? Why should I travel to another planet or a moon? They all have the standard content, so empty planet, a few trees and bushes slapped on it, sometimes a lake or a hole. Now and then a market. But actually all would have to stay on the starter moon, to support each other, to build a society together, to build industrial plants to get progress. So build more and more expensive and bigger. I assume that the majority of players do not do that, but the masses run around solo and everyone pushes through his same skill in the talents. Everyone then wants to produce something and make a profit on the market. Over time, more and more players do this, until we have again reached the point that players produce more than we need and thus the price supports that the elements are even worth less than the pure ore. But hey, it's fun! The first build a hut, the others dream of the first industrial plants from the Nanocrafter and those who have prepared well form groups and fly within a few hours to the stars. What was the goal of the game again? Right...there is no evil boss, no princess to save, no enemy factions to fight with all our might...so it's us players who hope that a few decide to become evil pirates or plunderers, while everyone else then
  5. - There is the shuttle service from Sanctuary to Alioth. - There are portal stations between the districts - There are portal stations between the distriktes and the sales markets as well now.
  6. If that's the case, it can't matter what other players do.
  7. How many new players does NQ think the release would attract and, if so, how many will stay? Many players are like a plague of locusts, swarming from hype to hype and leaving behind empty, destroyed servers. NQ should focus on real regular players who are loyal and devoted for many years.
  8. I ask NQ that if a wipe of the planets is truly inevitable, that we as players are given enough time to move our bases into space where we can protect them from a wipe. Please NQ, protect great builds because they make the game and players who have spent days-weeks-months and years creating great things deserve to have them protected.
  9. I think it's more about the function of what you can do with an alt. PvP is a click game. click target, unlock, shoot. you click that once and that's it. Accordingly, you can very well click through some alt accounts and thus build up a group or an army to annoy other players in the PvP area. I don't really see an advantage in this as a "game goal", since there is no goal in DualUniverse. There is no "first or best" there are no kill lists or score lists, nothing that would somehow make sense to want to achieve something there to stroke your own ego. You one might even build more through LAt accounts because you get more core slots with it. Is that an advantage? At least not a game influencing one, but a way to build more through more money.
  10. Do not quite understand the inclination to PvP. in principle, PvP is already included in the game as a basic framework. If you want to, you can let off steam and have fun with PvP in a huge PvP zone. What exactly should be included? Why should players who are not interested in PvP be encouraged to participate in it? Is there a lack of fancy arenas or should the solar system be made fancier, like "mists to hide in"? We are not in a typical mmorpg with DualUniverse, where the developers take the player by the hand and tell them what to do. So, if you want PvP, you should create your own content, that's what PvE players do.
  11. We are still in a TEst period. We players are supposed to test everything and find bugs, that's the reason why it's a test version. However, it's not really a normal beta, but a soft launch beta, which is why many players should pay for this "test". It's very hard to see here that we players, but also NQ are in a weird situation, because it's actually still an alpha state. But bringing an alpha status as a payment model with a soft start would probably be absurd, since everything could be changed in an alpha and there would be no guarantees whatsoever of getting something permanently. Which of course would also raise doubts as to whether players would have wanted to pay for it
  12. Whether a player accepts these aids, each player may decide for himself. If the wipe were to be performed, a new player would still be helpless and would need an enormous amount of time to build up. The professional players will regain their wealth and opportunities very quickly because they have knowledge and experience and can prepare very well. So it means there is no fair equality in a wipe, because every minute, every hour and every day the gap becomes very big again between the regular player and the new player. So it's just a matter of time until new players are in the same situation as they are now. The situation will come up again and again, in 6 months, in a year in 5years...do you want to do a wipe every YEAR, just because again new players were lured into the game?
  13. Talent points would be a serious advantage though, in a wipe we wanted to be fair to new players right?
  14. That's a very limited view. When I came into the game as a new player, I was very happy that there were players who could help me. I crashed the first few times I tried to fly - players helped me fix it, as well as with elements to make the ship really flyable. I also used to run to the market with just ores in the beginning because I didn't have any containers until I was given some. Having an existing structure and market helped me a lot, I was able to enjoy the game without much frustration and loss because there were many players who supported you. There are also now players who just do rescue missions when players are propped up, simply because they have enough reserves to be "nice". So if we all start from 0, who should support others? There will be a great race to be the first at the finish of the power positions. To be the first to take the best areas for MininUnits, to be the first to provide a fleet for asteroids and alien cores.... It doesn't need a wipe for new players, because then you limit the support and openness of those players. We are playing a sandbox game here, there is no equipment or dungeons so you always have to progress and like World of Warcraft there is an equipment wipe for every addon. Here in DualUniverse, the gameplay is a persistent game experience that lives from who plays a lot and for a very long time, has achieved more. You don't have to be envious of other people's fortunes here, but should be happy about what has already been created! Every new player can become a part of this great community and contribute his part over time.
  15. I am against a wipe. Since the beta soft launch, there should be no wipe in this regard and players pay their subscriptions to build a society. Just that society that is meant for new players to be able to use it. So why should we wantonly destroy all this? There is no real sense from it or a need to justify changes through a wipe. Some things can be solved in other ways. I assume that there will be a wipe anyway, apparently it is already fixed and the question would be what kind of wipe. So, there you just have to say, you take the one that is fairest so that none is favored. So a complete wipe without any exceptions, anything else would be unfair in some way, because you could conclude advantages. No matter if advantages by skills, by quanta, by time,...if a wipe should be fair, then a complete wipe. Nevertheless: I am against a wipe, because it is not necessary.

  17. That is not so true. I like to fly my PvP ship through the PvP zone and have only one account online at a time. Ever thought that PvP itself is more of a group game so you can be really good at it? Two players working well together should always outnumber a solo player. So, find friends and play together in a group.
  18. If the planets need to be revised, please let us know NOW so we can get our constructs into Space - they should be safe from their explanation there, right?
  19. What is the added value for us players from this event? I can see your advantage. I don't see any animals, plants that you can integrate as a resource in the game. So possible it is, but don't recognize that NQ would work on it or think about it. Trees grow back after being cut down, you can make wooden boards out of them, then furniture. Trees can carry seeds that spread themselves by wind and grow new trees, at the same time you can pick up seeds or saplings to plant on your own land. Breeding would be conceivable. A whole game system around the cultivation and breeding of plants to the integration into the professions to produce something. The same goes for animals, you could catch, tame or breed wild animals, develop skins or tanning materials from them....tent tarps, sails, carpets, collectible figures,....ja - then, if the planets are so full of life that you can really spend a lot of time as a player with that alone, then I would really be willing to also accept a complete wipe and be happy. BUT NQ doesn't want to go that deep into a role-playing game....the changes so far are minimalistic and don't result in any valuable new game content. Currently I see DualUniverse in the stage of an alpha - they are playing around with basic game mechanics as if they still don't even know how the final product should look like after so many years.
  20. How does a wipe fit with the statement that the beta is supposed to be a soft release along with the sales pitch? For me it is obvious that it is about false advertising and fraud, it certainly feels exactly like that. What does their legal department have to say about this?
  21. It's scary how much players here would be happy with a partial wipe, if only these players are always allowed to keep their own advantage in the process.... There are currently players who support wipe, but only if.... - I get to keep my quanta - I can keep my talent points - I can keep my BP - I get a magic BP - I get talent points much faster than new players - me, me, me, me, me.....!!! None of this is fair! But fairness is what NQ and a wipe are "supposed" to be about. So, either no wipe or a complete one, without an advantage. (Maybe you could offer the beta subscription players a refund as compensation or, they also get t-shirts, etc, as it was promised to the Kickstarters.
  22. I think it is a great pity that my proposal at the time is not on the table. You should let the game run without a wipe, because this is exactly what was promised to many, as well as the beta players should have already built a society and structures for the "new players". This approach is completely ignored here. Back to the proposal: A smaller solar system will be created that will be created for new players. This solar system is "hidden" in our solar system and only becomes "visible" when new and old players have assembled a huge dimension gate in their systems. (Community event) For this, a lot of material must be donated to NPC drop-off stations and there must be a great technological progress on both systems. Once the gates are built on both solar systems, the new solar system will be visible in the old one. All players can then play together. This way, the old players can leave their progress alone and continue building there, new players start fresh, so to speak, and later come to the point where they meet the old players. On the subject of "Wipe". A wipe would only make sense if it was a complete wipe. Everything from the beginning, no exceptions - because every exception is an unfair advantage - an advantage that you now want to destroy with a wipe. Even blueprints would be an advantage for builders, because these "designers" get to keep their plans, while an industrialist or an asteroid collector goes away empty-handed. By the way: The Quanta hardly play a role, because even with a wipe, there will be very rich and very poor players again after days-week-months. The problem is only reset and shifted in time. So if a wipe is coming: please NQ be fair and tell us when it will come, that is, when do you plan to release the game? This year or next. If there is a wipe, I would pause my subscriptions accordingly, as it makes no sense for me to continue playing. Then I'll wait until the release....
  23. Even if they repeat it every time, there is no infinite production of elements. The production is limited several times. Number of players who produce something Number of schematics that can be bought Number of ores that are available, these are LIMITED because of time and number of players (MiningUnits and Asteroids) Number of machines that run sensibly in chord When an energy system comes, it is further limited When destruction comes and industrial units need to be replaced, it will be equally hampered. So at any time in the game there is a limited amount of elements. This is currently only lowered by PvP. But this is probably not due to the players, but to the lack of interest of the players in PvP content.
  24. Destruction in PvP gladly - but please not in PvE, I don't need more timesink and obligations. we need smart and fun game content.
