Reseed resources, isolate them to different planets, create scarcity, creates economic demand and a reason for combat.
-
RL example, the friggen middle east...
- Now "carebears" have to ask for resources, market prices rise and stabilize
- PVP groups can blockade resources forcing a political group reaction from player base.
- People WILL complain, because now they "Have" to PVP or pay the people who do
- Welcome to early civilization in space, now eat space-rock and deal with it!
I know I just sounded like a complete A to some people, but I hate sweets to be honest.

No exit rant thread would be complete without a “can I haz your stuff?” Request.
so, erm…
Can I haz your stuff?
especially any Madis hexes. And an AGG if you have one.
cheers.
— oh, and, Cheerio!
Hey, can we split it?

Ugh, another CR thread, where's my 100ft pole so I can push it off from the edge of the forums, lol.

The role PERKS sound fine overall. Limiting what you can do depending on the role you play... sounds like a terrible idea. The whole concept of this game is being whatever you want to be, or a mix of all of the roles. Heck, you may not want to be one of those roles. What would you do then?
Do this then?

So we need greater accessibility to shoot each-other <--- end of argument?

Don't forget to grab discord, it's a life saver for new people, beware the trolls that lurk there. Also, be open minded, some of us are off are rockers from being in mineshafts to long...

Single storage BUT still only able to use X number of schematics that you have? I'd like that! Kind of like a library with memory cards

Lack cargo scanners, scanners should be able to scan cargo and display a text only break down of items on screen somewhere.
-
Why? Why the heck would you damage a ship that has limited lives on its items, but what about the cargo?
-
Players can toss cargo...
- Cargo "Trashed" from any container/person, should spawn a container specific to the size of the cargo. ( This SHOULD have been done already, or should be in 0.25 patch )
-
Now players can "Avoid" a destroyed ship by jettisoning cargo
- Or you can try to get away
- Or some-ones trolling and just wants to wreck your day.
- Additions welcome! :3

We need scarcity, or hell, greater delays in final production even, the list can just go on and on. SOMETHING needs to be there to drive us into killing eachother, I mean hell, most countries IRL would still be going at it if it weren't were for the N word looming over every leaders head. >:3
-
Better idea, how about we do not move the construct, but have a way to move the building area in full voxels while the construct itself does not move at all O_o?
- Hot key for camera adjustment and saved per ship client side as well please???

Sweet, I'll have a n00b to test ships and watch them die over and over...

I haven't seen any signs of life from NQ or their CMs regarding anything in that thread for aeons... I've stopped reading and contributing.
I don't even have enough interest left at this point to even theorycraft anymore.
The cynic in me says they look at ideas and players' deepest interests and desires in there and JC uses those hints to design ways to impede players' progress in those areas, since interest in a game leads to playing, which leads to progress, which leads to fervent players doing stuff faster than JC wants, which leads to nerfs.
Thus JC looks there first to determine what NOT to introduce. If that's the case, there should be an introduction of feature followed by a heavy nerfing patch. To say here you go *smiles*, oh hold on! *NERF*...

Most of what is being brought up here has been suggested over an dover and over and over and the again..
NQ is not interested in this at all, they do not have any intention to actually acknowledge the issue because doing so pretty much forces them to address it. And as we know, NQ loves to just not hear things that may mean they need to do work on it when they have no idea how to do that. To them, what they do not acknowledge does not exist.
I can agree on that, not only do they have us players, if they "Signed" for any finances, I'm sure that the funder is demanding returns, even if at small amounts. They're priority right now is to make a non-du playing party happy. TBH most investors have no true idea wtf they threw they're investment at only what they were sold. Fairly certain they would love to get things done the way we are saying, at the same time, someone else is demanding progress in a different fashion. Forcing us to the backburner as we pile on suggestions and fixes that are more than likely not going to see the light of day til either after "release" or prior. Just my thoughts.

tbh, this is one scenario where a third party server running a lua client would come in handy. I'd pay a few dollars to keep SOME lua things running myself if I had them.

Honestly, I'd like to see the T2+ things fleshed out and more additions done, even if it's just cosmetic/utility. Power gen anyone?

Last thing I remember was eating at Denny's, where am I?!

I'll just say this, I'm enjoying the game, learned a lot, I don't care if I have to start over. Heck, after my first month, I actually left everything on one world, to start over and see how it felt. Money aside, the biggest pain I see is Schematics. Personally I'd love to see T1 not have them, weapons / T2+ can keep schematics.

@Shockr is that a wedge I see in that screenshot O_o

I couldn't agree more. But they need to be implemented carefully. Just letting everyone create a market open to all like VR stations would be a mistake. They should be something that requires a real drive to deploy, like warp beacons perhaps.
Exactly, though tbh, I think the availability and ease of access to a "Trading" station will be enough of a drive, outer world traders would increase in activity to just those points and whoever owns those markets would make a large sum, especially if they increased the tax amount from the current markets to drive players to make their own. I state outer world traders as any other planet has less gravity, which means fewer engines and better efficiency, I honestly hate landing on Alioth and would skip those markets if I knew an active orbital trading point was active.

High data usage

The AWS server is amazons humongous cloud server system they are using to run the whole simulation. So yeah, it eats bandwidth like no tomorrow. Though the data usage really is huge. Some of this stuff should be optimized and pushed into loaded memory. IMO of course.
