    Evening,

So as by far the largest Org in-game (yes I know actual numbers playing are far less) i'm a bit concerned with assets all over the place as well as sub orgs for different wings of how we run the org.  For example a lot of this was done to avoid 'theft' which of course many know we had but ironically as a result we split stuff up to make this more difficult to do!.  So now we are looking at trying to find every core item to visit it to transfer it into one org and trying to find ever tile claimed.  There is NO list of who owns what core, there is NO list of every tile owned and by whom.  If this change is to happen at least give us the tools!

    Thanks

Buffing engines yes but you need 'decay' thus more you use something and then repair it.  Eventually it slowly loves HP permamently and thus need to go buy a new one.

This would help the economy massively.  Likewise remove 'safe zones' that are excessive and bring that element of 'risk' back into the game.  In regards to doubling engines speed etc it would help with making more shapes/ships etc and reduce lag too.  They need to buff adjusters too and brakes.  ultimatley what we are asking for is buff components, reduce need for components, add decay and maybe just maybe you'll have more of a Civ game.

I'm looking forward to the day that PvP is worth doing and is important.  Everywhere is so safe and warp is just so cheap to do.  Does it mean my Org will get whacked?  Yes it will as we are not part of any alliance.  What it will do is we will adapt and force to form alliances and group up more.  Its so solo mode now and the common goals get clouded.

Star Wars Galaxies was amazing.  Auto mining was ace but you needed to put it on ore concentrations to yeild more.  Ore also had 'stats' so better qualities improved end product.  DU could in theory do this.  I.e higher element damaged, better decay rate etc.

Bots should also be removed and go back to a player driven market since we will also have Missions too!

    Thanks

Very interested in the mining changes, running the largest meganode supply chain in DU we would like to know what the future holds for our 100+ members who scan, mine and provide ore to the market.

Are meganodes being removed, and below surface mining as well.

The passive mining is great and for a group with a large volume of claimed hexes we are deighted to gain ore passively but this sounds like it will come at a cost of our miners and miners from all around the DU universe.

More info would be much appreciated before you alter/remove one of the things that makes DU unique.

I actually think its a good change.  Currently its far too safe with warp here and passive mining units will help everyone even if they are in an org or not.  Most just mine for Quanta more than using the ore for something.  Maybe they may also reduce safe zones to shake it up a bit who knows!

just curious, I thought the mission system was suppose to be released as part of 0.24? Was that not true? I really like playing DU but it does seem like talking about 0.25 before the full release of 0.24 is creating confusion for me at least. Is NQ going to finish the release of 024? is the mission system coming? What is the NEXT thing happening. You keep speaking about the "Road map" but it doesn't seem very clear to me.

are we getting the second half of 0.24?

It was very bugged and people lost money due to the bugs in PTS.  It was more a promise to pay XYZ than anything else.  Needs a full re-think tbh.

Technically DU could be sub and add skins for a fee to generate some money.  To be fair a sub of $10 per month is nothing these days and if you buy a multi-month sub its even better value for money all things considered!.   It is certainly not outdated but F2P models in fact cost you way more and becomes more pay 2 win.  I take a game like Lord of the Rings online its afloat due to its hybrid and people spend a small fortune on a horsey mount!

  8. With another game entering early access soon that has similar tech but seems more polished what is needed is more content.  Sadly what you have now is performance updates placing more on the client and potentially open more issues.  For example pvp takes place in a tile and thus needs everyone 'connected' to the server amazingly well or misses all over the place.  The server cannot handle big fights either.

In addition you can literally sort at lot of data issues out by REMOVING old constructs or players not logged in for awhile say 60 days.  Pack it into a pack and they can access it at a later date.  Problem solved and one used by many other games.

DU sadly is hemorrhaging members due to lack of content.  Where is pvp 2.0 ? Where is PVE.

True... that disconnect between what the players want and what JC envisioned has been discussed a hundred times.

also, while you were harping on at him:

org’s *what* could have helped you?

    org’s members?

    org’s quanta?

    org’s serfs?

    you missed a word.

so in space engineers, the stations buy a random assortment of items at low quantity but higher prices. No ore, only finished products. Instead of bot orders for ore, how hard would it be for NQ to make each market have bot orders for factory items in smaller batches, at above market prices. pure products/products/elements/voxel so many items the bots can randomly buy rather than buy orders for ore.

this is where missions come in, they can auto fill for delivery options at markets and the like. If im on alioth and im willing to fly to madis with the order "packaged" I get quanta for my time. I would take that any day over minning and selling entire mega nodes just so I can make items in my factory. Its still taking resources in the game and removing it.. but at least the factory guys get a chance to get in on it if there was extra material around. have 500k Connectors? fill in a delivery order at a random market and sell them proper

  11. In PTS the mission system was flawed and bugged.  A lot of feedback was given and I think thats why it was pulled in the patch.  I do agree you do need some form of PvE to earn some Quanta and not just via mining.  If they removed bots and had this alternative that would help a lot.  There was a mission a timed one but it got pulled as it was bugged that earned quanta.

    Fingers crossed.

To be honest they could have raised extra funds through skins/cosmetics to boost their overall funding.  Anyway where does it say their financial's are bleak?  Just want to look it up for reference.  DU overall has so much scope and we all wonder what would have happened if they had even double the funding!
