I have been waiting to see which one would offer the best features, visuals and options. So far they are pretty close but after seeing numerous reviews I have to say Vive is most appealing. Also it has an edge for those who wear glasses as well so I'm definitely leaning towards it. Also I believe Steam is focusing on Vive, but I could be wrong there....but I do hope DU features Vive.

On glasses, I have huge frames and oculus is just fine.  Only thing vive has over oculus is being able to see boundaries within VR, and a slightly wider fov.

Only thing oculus has is it is lighter/more comfortable, and a slightly crisper screen.  And cost of course.

Room scale is practically the same.  Then again, I tested them both in a standard room size.  If you have an entire living room or something, not sure how they would scale.

In any case, whichever you choose... look into:

Vr lens labs also makes lenses, but they have a chance of slight distortion.

I'm just ticked off at oculus for strong arming devs into making exclusives... now htc/valve is doing the same.
