friendlytyrant03 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 So how is the liquid gunna work in DU? I really hope it won't be like space engineers where well you know it SUCKS and I was wondering how the water on planets will work I will be happy enough if it was somewhat like minecraft or better let me know what you think.
DaSchiz Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 From what I understand it isn't functional, only cosmetic.
SonofSkz Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Currently it does nothing, the developers have talked about having limited fluid physics like minecraft but only as a stretch goal. As you can imagine in a massive editable world having fluid dynamics pushes the performance required a little hard so don't be expecting much in terms of realistic fluid physics. Vyz Ejstu 1
yamamushi Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 They might use some cellular automata algorithms to have localized water flow (similar to minecraft) but it will likely stop as soon as players move away from the location.
