Yes, I know submitting suggestions is futile, and this may have been discussed already, but what do you think of having gravity guns in this game? I think it would be cool. Should be pretty fun to mess with gravity and spacetime!

Hello everybody ! Concerning space constuctions, I wondered how gravity would be handled in a spacecraft or station. Will it be determined in relation to the position of the core unit, to an arbitrary direction, to the position of the nearest planet, or will there be none? In summary: will there be a top and a bottom and how will it be determined?

Hello I am here to talk about Gravity Units should we have them or should we just have Gravity Boots? Here are some ideas from me. * Have one type of Gravity unit with pulls from one side. Which is the side you have pointing up but in space there is no right side up * Another one to have is one that Pulls from four different sides like a Cude. * a Sphere gravity unit and it acts like a Much smaller version of a planet like 1/100s the size or 1/1000s or you can have different sizes and you should not be able to build it all at once you should have to build one piece at a time. Or we can have all Three Why would we bother having gravity units you say? Well maybe I am crazy Or I am on to something. I think we should have Gravity units cause maybe not everyone wants to keep having their suits on all the time so they don't have their gravity boots on and they may not be on planets all the time. So This would be great to have this work and maybe have Terrain in the ship acting like a Small little Oxygen Creator/ EcoSystem for players. Something Like this https://i.ytimg.com/vi/eZTnSxW4pOI/maxresdefault.jpg maybe even have a Renting System for all of this but they even said something like this maybe in the game at launch. (MAYBE) this has nothing to do with what I was talking about got Carried away. Ok Guys/Gals What do you think? If you got anything to say that Would be great Rather it is bad or not it all Helps. I'll Write Down any other Ideas that could add on to this. I'll Add your Ideas for the Gravity Unit Down Below IDEA'S * (Edit 12/21/2016) What if the Ships/ Constructs automaticity had Gravity so like the second you got on a ship that is facing sideways you switch to its gravity Or you could still have the gravity units But ships/Constructs still have its own gravity but it is not turned on intel you put the Gravity Unit on. PROS *Adds a Harder Environment to be on a bigger ship without gravity (Which makes it harder for bigger Empires to build Big Ships. * Could be made with rare Components/Metal. * Overall adds a Nice new gameplay into the mix CONS * Makes it harder for the Devs * Maybe a lot more Code/Scripting involved * Not every player may want this. *

Just thought about a gravity element to rule the UP and DOWN in space. This element could be scripted and given a force vector to setup gravity within a spaceship Gravity could be then canceled, turned up or down at will When first deployed in a construction it would give the default gravity force vector, so what ever you build around you would be sure which voxels compose the ceiling and the floor of your construct in space gravitation. Turning up or down the gravity would allow spaceship interior configuration for the diferent gravity forces And canceling the gravity force might be usefull during an enemy assault, and disabling the enemies ships landing possibility

So obviously gravity onboard ships/space stations is going to be handled somehow within this game. I want to know the specifics: Will gravity always be locked to the "Down" direction from the starting core? if not: Will there be "Gravity machines" of some kind that will allow us to give custom gravity to certain areas? Really I'm asking because I want to build large ships designed to essentially be cities, and for most designs I want to build, having gravity in a different direction to the rest of the ship would be incredibly useful. For example, a cube city. With unidirectional gravity, the city would be forced to be only inside and ontop of the cube. With multi-directional gravity, I could build outwards on all faces. Cyclindrical cities (like the Citadel in Mass Effect but with the gaps in between the arms filled). Jupiter station from Interstellar. I think you get the point. Anyone know? If not, can someone ask the devs if they get a chance? Or if this get popular enough, maybe a poll?

I was searching for information about the gravity in the Dual Universe and I found this: You can also hear about it in the interview with Jean-Christophe Baillie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFM4sTFMU1U&t=62m59s It seems that every player will be able to dig under the mountain to the point where it becomes some kind of floating island. Does it mean there will not be any kind of gravity implemented in the game? Therefore, I have one more question. First, lets see important part of the gameplay video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6mI-A0OuF8&t=5m25s What would happen if Jean-Christophe Baillie landed on the other side of the spaceship? Since there is no gravity in space, no "up and down", how players will be able to move on different kinds of spaceships? To make it simple, imagine that someone will build a symmetrical cube somewhere in space. On which side a player can land and freely walk?

do different planets have different gravity? because humans can only survive on planets with 0.8 - 1.2 G. or do the suits that players wear even it out artificially?
