  1. It is true that the subject has often been broached.

I think if NQ needed us. hum. Well, rather if they will need us when working on it later, they will.

At the moment they seem to be totally busy on other subject.

We are in Beta and they could regularly allow themselves to change values for testing and balancing.
But the development team seems so small that humanly it does not seem capable to have of a person devoting himself to this kind of subject.

I decided to look at this issue from a different angle.  To start with I think all the parts need to be buffed with number limits to keep from more powerful massive builds.  If you take a moment to look through both realistic ship design and fictional ship design you find that there are few ships with massive numbers of engines.  Most have less than 10.  So you can easily come to the conclusion that the engine technology was developed along the lines of size and power over sheer numbers.

So if the engines of these ships were developed to provide power with a minimal number of them.  One of the examples I looked at was the star destroyer.  The regular star destroyer has what appears to be 3 large engines and 4 smaller ones.  Now I do understand that the number of engines vary on fictional ships but I did not find any with more than 15 to 20 max.  Currently in the game you can make a ship with a small number of engines but the star destroyer is 1600 meters long.  This issue is true of many space ships they only have a few engines, even real ships like the space shuttle only has 3 main engines.  I realize that the shuttle has to have boosters to get into orbit but there are many fictional ships that take off and land using only a few engines.

So the massive number of engines used currently in the game are tooooo much.  At the same time if you limit the number of engines then they need to reflect the proper amount of power to be of use in the game.  That last word is the most important point I would like to make this is a very creative game but the creativity is somewhat limited by the current technology simulated in the game.  You should not have to have massive numbers of brakes or wings just to make something fly effectively.

So yes this entire system needs to be overhauled where ships with 50 plus engines are not required to go mining and hauling cargo to and from other planets.

exactly an increase in engine performance without a nerf in the amounts that one can use will make no sense.

One does not go without the other.

Increase power, increase the cost of crafting engines, limit certain elements by core size and above all limit the amount that can be used of engine and other elements.

  3. The problem of this tweet comes especially that the "creator economy" is just a euphemism for neoliberalism, for "human capital".

You won't make a civilization game if you don't understand how civilizations have functioned and sustain the human species WITHOUT everyone having to be HIS own business.

Of course if you deny millennia of history through political thought, you ultimately play a game without functional civilization because your current of economic thought is not viable without the state institutions of which we have NO tools in play to begin to establish them.

Community? Give us already the tools to be able to organize in community.

  4. It reminds me of a certains persons who complains of having to repair lights and other bullshit by hand that are worth less than 1000 quanta on their ships.

They spend several hours repairing all this, while they only need to repair the largest items and ship them to the repair unit to replace the destroyed parts.

Your playing time looking for your 20th XS light in a voxel in one of the corridors of your ship L certainly costs more than a few thousand quanta needed to replace all the lights ...

Apparently it's the digging that's doing them in... It seems they severely underestimated the scale of people's tolerance for sheer boredom and monotony.
Each and every voxel of ever tunnel you've ever dug and the detail in the walls of the cavity left behind after every node you've ever mined since the Balpha started is faithfully preserved voxel by voxel on their servers, even if they will never, ever be revisited again.

What would help most is if they collapsed tunnels after a defined period of inactivity and removed nodes with less than, say 500L remaining.

There could be ground elements needed to preserve tunnels within a set radius and prevent them from "collapsing"

NQ is not preparing for the end of mining that we are currently experiencing ?

In view of the latest announcements we will soon have:
    - A surface ore buff (harvest tool)
    - Automatic minning units with scanning gameplay to find the best tiles + maybe PvP one day
    - Temporary asteroids several hundred meters in diameter in which we can make holes again. Asteroid disappearing from the game data thus freeing up performance, monies, time for NQ.

I might be missing something, but once these 3 new mining elements are in play why keep the old way of mining? Maybe this will free up enough money to make NQ's technology economically viable. And we would finally see some content coming to the game maybe.

Oh and certainly a resetting of the planets' soil to be expected. But this time with no real reason to dig ...

  6. The cross section taken into account is the one you can see when you have the ship visualized in the firing window.

It takes into account the inclination.
By tilting your ship slightly, you can spread the hits you suffer over a much larger area than that visible and taken into account for your chances of hitting.

Otherwise it's funny that you mention the TIE. If you want some for testing, I sell a few cheap ones.

  7. You place a voxel relative to its center. So at 0.5.

We had seen on old video cores in 256-512-1024-2048 and up to 4096!
But of course, these were definitely NQ tests.
They admitted to having trouble getting the L cores to work properly at the moment.

I really hope to have a minimum of 256m in the future. It would do things equivalent to good tonnage irl cruisers. The minimum for a space game.

  8. It is very weird for me to read this topic.
I am convinced that a voxel is exactly 25 centimeters.
    4 voxels make 1 meter.
Normally you can check this with the world coordinates.

My character is also 7 voxels high (he passes without bumping under a beam at this height) which corresponds to 1.75m.

We are not far from the average European size, right?

  9. Hi, I did not vote in time because I do not visit the forum often.
Also, my actively playing buddies (even more so than me) never come here.

So we can add 11 people from our daily active organization to vote more PvP in this game as advertised.

We can certainly add a panel of 20 to 30 people who have stopped the game (or have very little connected) for this glaring lack of PvP content (despite the beautiful promotional videos). These people were all ready to invest in the possession of 1 to 2 additional characters (and therefore the payment of a subscription) on the game.

We are a small French organization. Maybe we could add the ten PvP organizations with several dozen members that we saw stop on this poll?

Otherwise it would appear that NQ is doing this kind of in-game poll directly Now.

    still no arguments? well done

You assault people and then complain about being insulted when it's totally wrong.
Trying to discredit your opponent is not showing arguments.
We find that with the extreme right and the conspirators.
Difficult to want to argue with someone who does think that only his sterile ideas are the good ones :)

nice try in insulting me random guy on the internet, try harder

    "insulting"

You sound so salty my boy ^^

But yes NQ will have to put in place more mechanisms. But they are not there. So I try to bring my experience to maybe help people find a solution to their problem.

Because yes, NQ has already deleted cores blocking our organization.

Leave your condescension aside for a few moments.

Dunno what's worse. NQs answer or this one defending it. "Make a new org and build a new city" is appropriate lmao. Smh some ppl

    The worst ?
    Definitely read you here ^^
But let's move on, I say that if you are not superlegat you do not have to claim the possession of other player.

It seems pretty clear to me as a position to avoid abuse, doesn't it?

We just had a reply from one of your support ticket GM's

Whilst I wont share the screengrab from it I'll write what they said.

'I'd suggest you make a new org and build a new city'

Are you for REAL???????????  NQ what planet are you on lol

If you are a super legate of the organization that owns the tile. You can file an anti-gambling complaint or denounce a will to harm on the part of the player who left his construct static lying around.

After a (long) discussion on our side with NQ, our super legate succeeded in having the offending core destroyed.
It has to constitute a real file of "proof":
    - proof of exclusion from the organization of the offending / inactive former member.
    - proof that perssone has not been active for several weeks / months
    - proof that she did not respond to the solicitations to come back to the game and solve the problem

And in this case the NQ has proceed to the total destruction of the blocking core.

If you are not the superlegat, or you are not asking for a final destruction of the asset then NQ's response seems appropriate.

Are you Hyperion fanboy trying to justify it again ? Where were you hiding when everyone was asking for the pilots to come forward and explain what did they see on their end ha?

Don't want to hijack this thread so just go back to the hole you came from.

Every time Hyperion gets their asses handed to them, some "beta" shit happens right?

Measure your words and don't be so salty.

No, I'm not a Hyperion fan. But to be honest, I have to confirm that I am part of AC.

I did not participate in the fight on Saturday (obligation in my real life). But I was present at the last event of Star Wars.

But I can confirm that on our coalition which fought alongside AC (ATS, HOZ & ADRA) there was no real performance problem on Saturday evening (on the 3 combat ships).

I won't speak for Hyperion. But it will seem that the problems / delay is not on purpose.

  15. The game is in beta and weird things happen a lot.

Like Anarchy in pursuit of a freighter and who manages to immobilize it (30,000km / h to 0km / h) a few kilometers from the edge of the safe zone (happy coincidence?) When there are 3 members of crews on board and that the (armored) cargo ship received little significant damage that could hinder its proper functioning.

We all have examples of this kind.

The game is Beta and we report to NQ and let them judge that alone.

=> I think it is not useful, given the current state of the game, that we are shooting one and the others in the legs.

Hello, I recently had the same problem as you, I have a lot of voxels that no longer appear when I load my station, how can we solve this problem thank you

    Sans titre.jpg

This kind of bug is urgent to correct ...

You are going to lose the PvE players while you haven't let the PvP players have fun yet.

Actually, by the rules of RP, this is meta gaming.. And not at all surprising for BOO. And also.. good to see spais are doing their jobs ;)

But too many words have already been wasted on this.. From what I understood they actually had little impact on the actual event so what's there to see here actually..

It is difficult to understand the “drama” that is unfolding on the English-speaking side for our group of players.

The impact of the arrival of BOO has been very low. If we watch YT videos and Twitch reruns, a significant number of people be participated the Star Wars PvP event during more than hour.

I believe the main victim of BOO was an aluminum-built star destroyer ... BOO or not its rapid destruction unfortunately would have been inevitable I think.

Our ships built on the theme of Star Wars and engaged on the Imperial side even had the luxury of dumping their ammunition containers on BOO's "Sacrebleu" while eliminating the few rebel ships that lock them. Lots of fun for these crews.

This event is a great success.
