  1. I was looking into Lua scripting and found using cookies and simple return codes you can create a simple Chatbot using Lua scripting. I know there hasn't been alot that has been explained on Lua scripting. But I was curious if there will ever be a point where you can talk or chat directly to a object that has a Lua script. I know scripting can be done for simple things like opening doors when sensors go off. The idea of a chatty command council would be interesting. Like for example if the pilot could tell the ship to change course and it would do so and reply yes sir. But would still need more complex things like landing on a planet or heading in the direction of a planet. Or let's say the ship has taken damage and you need to know where. If you could set up sensors on the ship to detect where affected areas are that could be a good way to use the chat bot to notify you where the damage exactly is. Of course it could be used for other things as well.
  2. Wow I kinda forget about this post. Anyways after reading the replys and playing abit in the alpha group I don't really think recourses being depleted will really be that big of an issue. I am interested in how they deal with rarer resources once the game is officially released and in later game play. Maybe by adding more astroids. I'm really excited to see astroid mining in companies take place.

  4. Awesome ? thank you! It's going to be HUGE then lol Sorry still have No Man's sky mind set a bit where I was told that was supposed to be HUGE. I'm just imagining larger planets than NMS :0 these planets are going to be Giants.
  5. Okay I have something I'm questioning/concerned about when starting early game and an issue that I saw in Another game Eco that I Alpha-Beta test for. Recourse management for people who start later than everyone else it's harder to find resources at spawn. I understand that this game is alot larger but there are also Alot more people playing as well. Will finding/mining resources be like Minecraft where when you mine them and they are gone forever or like RuneScape where the recourse will respond after X about of time. The reason I ask is if the resources aren't responded or reintroduced after Time. The Beginning of the game will get harder and harder for New Players To start up if resources aren't introduced after a while but then again it gives Companies a tool for recruitment to give people a boost.

    Scanning

    I believe there should also be a scanner of some type to keep track of what alien spieces you have seen. Like a log.

    Will there be a method to scan and catalogue different species that we see. Just an idea. For the explorer type who are looking to collect what they have seen. I do understand that traveling to other Star systems will take time though and more star systems are added as updates come in.
  8. Sorry lol I retake my statement. I don't really have any friends playing irl. But I will make friends. From What I have seen from the discord the community is AWESOME ?.I will start a YouTube once the game launches. I really need to participate in the forms more. Sorry should have had a notification set up or something. Though I hope you can script at least a few small drones that will attack if you are attacked specially when carrying large amounts of cargo across the star systems.
  9. I do understand you want this game to be player run but what if Corporations/Players could be in-charge of there own NPC's. Like a Robot/Drone/Clone army that could be destroyed by opposing players for resources that they hold or contain. The NPC's could only act as scripted by players and more complicated commands would need a player to tell the army or just one NPC what to do.
