"The long-term goal is to enrich the Mission system with more mission types, starting with “taxi” missions, SoS, and later adding PvP and various other “formalizable” activities. For now, we’re introducing the Mission system with transport-type hauling missions. "

"(Please note that the UI for the Mission system is still in progress. The images below are samples of what it will look like.)"

Why release an unfinished mission system? This sounds great and all but would be nice if you would release it when its ready. This is the perfect example of something you release on a test server first, make tweaks and perfect, then release on the live server.

It would be really awesome if you could incorporate, drone, NPC ships as a part of this mission system.  Ships with great rewards.  These PvP guys need something of substance and reward to shoot at.

Someone wake me up when they put some conflict drivers in the game.  Like man holy F#$& just put in asteroids out in the pvp zone that is good high tier ore for us to fight over.  This mission system I doubt will yield much in the form of conflict. Really feeling let down here.  Starting to ask myself why I am keeping 3 accounts subbed.

So the employer put a box on his base where that whatever should be delivered.

What if I create a juicy mission to deliver me some crap with juicy collateral and put the box 10km underground on my sanct tile ?

You mean like the creator of the mission should ensure the mission taker is able to glitch free access the delivery box in Dual Universe beta or the mission creator gets disciplinary actions against his account ? Yea that definitely works.

Yea and regarding that rating system, I have hmmmm 12 alts if I remember correctly, 2 of my friends have about 20 each. I think the other guys mentioned logging in to get the daily takes about 20min from all of the alts too so I think my rating will be high enough. No worries.

BTW, the title that can be edited by the "mission creator" is nice as well.
Can't wait to see "WTS StarDestroyer,  DM AnotherNonCreativeVoxelmancer#1234 on discord" missions for 1 quanta in reward and 1bil collateral.

    - why would anyone do that? That's basically what the market does anyway
    - for that they would need to have a rng Generator for wrecks. Which they don't
    - no npc in du, so again. First they would need that mechanic
    - see 3

    So what is left imho:
    - deliver x to player or aphelia for reward. That may create one more faucet for quanta but that depends on how much aphelia pays for those....."""""pve missions"""""
    - ..... Nothing more?

It is quite weird of an update (like it was any different, but that is no the point of this post).

If I understand correctly, mission creation and most importantly quantas, come from the players. So this means:
    - no or little missions from Aphelia or any non-existing NPC organization
    - no additional quantas generated in the system
    - money to be going from larger players, who _usually_ belong to a larger corporation, so unless you straight up jump into it, you're likely to get breadcrumbs if any at all

So it does seem like a half-baked solution that will do nothing to majority, will most probably be exploited by pirates or exploiters and in the end there won't be any break from mining for anyone needing quantas for either industry, ships, ship building or anything alike.

I rate this devblog 1 only for the effort but inability to solve any pressing issues.

The metals - no, big no. Glossy looks terrible now. Once bright, fun, interesting colors (e.g., polished orange steel) are muted. Shadows are not working, no, just not working. The jetpack will...not...stop...turning on and off. Jetpack on, jetpack off, jetpack on, jetpack off - Stop the insanity! (Aside: Never really needed a 'jetpack on' in this game, but perhaps you have something up your sleeve for the future.) Go back to fun glossy and black pattern plastic looks/textures. Make lumens great again! Please fix LUA, no longer can I edit LUA parameters. Yeah, you added more parking @ the Alioth districts, but you just delayed the inevitable. More people will just park more stuff there and w/in 4 weeks it will look the same - not a fun place to fly into and/or do business. Pro tip - add the additional parking and disallow people the ability to park / place objects on the main pad where the building is located; tired of landing and running like a mouse thru a maze to bob-n-weave thru all the crap people have placed there just so I can elevator up to your building and wait for the market parameters to loooooooooaaaaaaaaaaddddddddddddiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg to grab that one item I need so I can quickly leave Laglioth.
