    I am liking the changes!

One main point from my point of view related to Economy and scale:

You can not force this with mechanics. I play primarily solo but I belong to 2 different Orgs. I used industry pre .23 to make my fuel and storage containers, everything else I purchased off markets. When changes are implemented that attempt to force me to play how another thinks is proper I will just leave the game. This is supposed to be an MMO open world game, I personally don't need anyone to hold my hand or give me missions to have fun. On the other side I shouldn't be forced to do or not do something. I have no qualms with PvP but have never experienced it in DU, I may never experience it and that should be my choice based on where I go and what I do. Make it my choice if I want to build, mine, explore ,PvP or anything else.

If you want the game to scale and economy to grow allow it to happen organically, that's the only way you will maintain a healthy playerbase IMO.

It took Eve a decade or more to continuously nerf the game to where everybody was equal and the game became extremely boring.
It took a decade for Goonswarm to control Eve to where they booted out their members for doing a minor mistake, or not taking orders, or did not logon when ordered to play the game.
Much like a dictatorship we DU plebs must be controlled by larger organizations.  They have the money, or will have, and they will have the power.
Now DU wants to do this during Beta, and even before launch.

I invested in DU because I had the freedom to travel space, if only on my PC.

Why try and perfect the game before launch and anger much of your current base?
Your current base is all you have right now with hundreds of new and similar games being launched annually.

Just leave the market/production problems and build more distance and beauty to keep your players excited.
How about new planets? Instead of bettering the old ones (each I have visited) build bright new ones.
Build a new solar system or three so that players can explore and mine your new pretty planets.
With new ways and ideas to travel using warp drive, it will really add to your original and getting mined-out planets in your solar system.
Let players build their markets/factories/organizations in these new worlds.
Hopefully Alioth will become Jita(Eve) and when I played Eve I got in and out of Jita as fast as I could.

Numbers of solar systems works well in Elite Dangerous.
Imagine getting through the PVP hordes, warping out and finding and exploring new horizons, where there is nobody else.
Now the explorer has time to build a base, set up defenses and ready for the inevitable PVP that will come.
Richer ores from these new systems will always have to go through the danger areas to sell their wares.
Let the player have some freedom to use their own innovation to get to market/explore/travel. Not keep the player in a box with the game/organizations telling them what they can and cannot do.

I believe that you are beginning to control me the small single player. I don't like that.
Also I am not your young kill all PVP player. I am 65,  been in the military, I do not enjoy violence anymore and play sci-fi games for exploration and travel.
I played Eve for several years and made too much money. Played Elite Dangerous for a year and beginning to return.
I have spent thousands of hours since Alpha on DU and beginning to think I need to find something new. I have made my 100 mil fortune on DU and done everything that I find interesting but my interest is waning and my boredom growing.

Instead of trying to perfect what you have, try to at least KEEP your current player base by giving them new exciting gameplay and not putting everything into a schematic.

This is going to stop me playing I think, I am part of a large ish ORG but I have been enjoying being self sufficient.  I don't have a  mega factory but I do have a multitude of machines churning away to give me Warp cells from 1 industry unit and other assemblies set up to give me a container when I need it. The initial investment for setting up my mini factory was the time involved mining for the ores, figuring out the production lines and crafting the machines, linking them etc.
Now it seems that  it will take a whole lot more time,  in game currency and talents just to get going to produce the same items. I am not a currency hoarder and to get currency to survive or get anywhere with these changes this just seems to introduce Grind.  Mine some ore, sell it, buy parts, make a poorly designed ship(now limited by my budget), try to sell that or get involved in a large ORG and play the game the way they want you to play it.
Once you've spent all your time grinding enough currency to buy what you need, making machines and training talents, unless this is your job then there won't be any time left to play the fun parts of the game like actually building things or exploring. It's in danger of becoming less of a space Sandbox and more of an Economy Simulator 2.0.

GG Novaquark.. Loved being a Ruby supporter, but putting more barriers to play with nothing else to do, you killing us...

For a lot of people currently playing and paying, Im sure the following three words will come to mind.

    Nail, Final and Coffin.

You are going to severely kill off a LOT of your player base doing this. I hope you guys have banked enough cash from those subscriptions to carry you through, what will undoubtably be, some very lean times ahead.

Yes, I realise this is a Beta, the question is, do those that are actually paying the monthly light bills realise it ?

I wish ya'll the best and I really hope this does not kill the project.

So basically we're getting a copy of how industry works in EVE. To build anything, you need a schematic plus the required materials/components to produce the final outcome.

Problem here will be that those who exploited early mis-judgement and loopholes made by NQ will start mass refining T4/T5 if not already done and gain a massive and virtually insurmountable advantage over anyone else.

By themselves, these changes are not actually bad, but as I feared and as I did mention in my post on this, the corner NQ painted themselves in regarding a wipe will not cause a culture where those that benefitted form NQ's mistakes will be able to take a massive advantage. In general, these changes in the existing state of the game will lock out anyone but the biggest orgs with stockpiles of (high tier) ore.

A wipe is needed and may become unavoidable to not let the game slip into a "have and have not" culture IMO.

I'm a pretty new player and spent a few weeks getting to grips with the game and finding my way around.  Its taken a long time and a lot of work to build a ship, lots of money repairing after learning to fly through smashing up on Alioth time and time again, and spent hours looking for T3+ ores, which have been totally unsuccessful. Even after 3+ hours each way flying to other planets to hunt, only to find that theyve been stripped bare.
Im not interested in joining an org, I want to play the game as an individual, but this step seems to make it even more impossible for new players to get to grips with Dual universe, and I honestly think that it will totally ruin the game for players like me.  Ive worked really hard to build a small factory to produce a Territory Scanner with ores that Ive laboriously mined, which has taken weeks.Without the ability to generate decent income you are effectively stuck, unable to be able to move forward.  It not even possible  to mine for decent ore to generate income as its been completely hoovered up everywhere.  Wouldnt it be better to somehow impose a levvy on larger factories to limit their output or profits rather than punishing small fry like me?
I still havent been able to afford a warp drive, and building a factory seemed like the only sustainable way to acheive this - so I hope you put things into place to help newbie players, who, by the time they have learned the game will be doomed to a poor, boring life on Alioth & Sanctuary!  And what happens to all the industrial units Ive slowly purchased that I will now need a huge investment to use? I honestly think that I will lose interest, just at a point where I felt I was getting somewhere....... .   .     .        .           .                   .                                             !
