I fully agree with you. But this many "powerfull" players strongly disagree. One of their arguments is that they invested hard on kickstarter in that vision and if the vision changes, they should get their money back.

I agree, but be warned this goes 100% against JC's vision and 100% of what was promissed.

I think most ppl are too used to see space battles like air battles in tv shows. Like starwars, when fighters point to the wanted trajectory and burn, instead of doing a 90° rotation and burning perpendicular to it. The only TV show i have seen with decent space combat is "the expanse" and for the sake of not boring they dont focus that much into space maneuvering and course correction. In general space combat is boring. There is no cover to get behind. There are no atmospheric variations. Ships can fire before the enemy is close enough for movement tactics to make a difference. Unless someone has a secret weapon or someone messes up really hard, the outcome of the battle is pre-determined before the 1st shot is fired. For realism sake, DU does it ok. For excitement sake, starwars does it ok.

They said something about a paste to cut instead of add. If it works ok* it could lead to quite nice forms. *: chances are minimal but.. you never know.

Ok, I have been unfair on this topic. But now Im interested. Last time I played there was no easy way to do some wanted polygon I usually had to use the voxel reactor to do several layers of the polygon. Has this situation changed in the regular server? Or in new tools in the test server? If yes, what can you show me something that was hard before, and now it's easy (and works well)?

Talking about smart ppl and smart behavior. To me, a smart person is not the one that can disguise an insult in a clever way. Thats just a "smart" parasite. To me a smart person is the one that can dodge all the attempts of insulting, escalation and is able provide to others the logic for his argument to be right. Im small ship designer, I cant get myself to do big ships because voxel tools suck, and i dont want to waste a week making every single voxel in a reactor(like i do for small ships) .. And with undo, some times, not properly undoing, it all just becomes pain and frustration.

Sure a game with his visions would be great to play. But his visions are impossible to realize... One of his visions is for players to build a civilization without any rules or guidance what so ever. The problem is that players that can dedicate that the ammount of time needed to guide others in the direction of a civilization are teenagers and adults without families or social life. How are this 2 groups of ppl suited to ignore their urges of selfish fun and work hard, really hard to make a civilization? How will they be able to enforce their org members to do boring government tasks? Who the hell wants to spend their weekend patrolling empty space? Hours and hours if seeing nothing, and doing nothing but burn fuel? Thats just one vision, but there are others impossible to implement.

Then create your own questions about the game and his opinions of the game.

Yes and no. Yes, a single shard is avery desired tech to have, if players are sync with each other near perfectly. And that does not happen in DU. Not by desync bugs. Not by game design. Not by physics impossibility. Also a company can be evaluated in multiple subjects. I would say that the voxel rendering engine is "state of the art" grade. Single shard tech accaptable. Ui is also acceptable. Economy logic is a moderated failure Social logic is a total failure. Entertainment logic is a total failure. So i would not grade the cumulative above other companies.

That was not the situation being debated in my comment. And you may be technically right. Buy although my dacs devalued, personally im happy they did. Means all players can play the game cheeper, even you and me when our pack dacs expire. So i will never ask for more dacs. I agreed that my 120€ comes with 7 dacs, independent from their price. But sure, you guys feel robbed, ask for it.
