apollo0510
So for a while now I am encountering strange air brake behaviour. Sometimes they simply refuse to brake. Like totally. I am approaching my target at 100km/h hovering 20m above the ground, and its like I have no brakes at all. Only when I turn the ship around so I am sliding sidewards, somehow they kick in, and I am able to brake with CTRL again. What can cause this ??? I really do not like to crash into a market with 2 kilo tons of ore because of this. Sombody has an idea ?
Shredder
I’ve experienced the same issues
GraXXoR
Same here... I find it happens with remote control units placed recently. havent had it happen on any of my older builds. I usually just deactivate and reactivate quickly and things work again.
Shredder
My air brakes are inside voxel, they don’t show as obstructed, could that be the cause?

No. Currently air brakes don’t really check for obstructions properly. This is going to be addressed in a future (the next?) update. only a couple of my ships have air brakes or space brakes fully exposed because they are so fugly. I’m going to have to redesign most of my fleet, If I do decide to continue playing.
