  1. “Trust in Creation” Edit 12/23/18 The PRF (Prophet Rocket Foundry) started as a home for ex-Landmark players to gather to continue work on our voxel obsession. It has now become clear that by being being exclusive to our old community that we are hoarding knowledge that can can be benificial to all and as much as we’d like to be an exclusive in voxel design that does not help the community. Applications are open to all. Our primary goal at the PRF is to make this verse one we are proud to live in. We are here to make this world diverse and attractive in its designs. We are also here to push the tools to its limits (For Science!). If you are interested in building amazing creations or want to learn how to do so, we’re the place for you. We are not a militaristic org but don’t get me wrong we are not an org of bunny cupcakes and will defend ourselves. We have relations with several other orgs for programming and logistics. You can see our work in multiple releases from Dual Universe (See below. All images are from DU public postings). We want this verse to be diverse and unique. We’re here to make it that way. Apply at https://community.dualthegame.com/organization/prophet-rocket-foundry _____________________________ (original post) The Prophet Rocket Foundry is currently a group of prior Landmark players looking for a new home. Since Lumeria was lost to us in a devistating space-time cataclysm we've been wandering the galaxy seeking a new home. At this moment it is comprised of prior Lumerians with alpha access however this is not a requirement to join. Just an interest in the future (and a NQ ID) of this verse is enough to warrant admittance. At this point known Lumerians will be granted instant acceptance. It's my vision to have a large group of people from our prior home to join and help this verse with our prior voxel and construction expertise. We seek to explore and provide quality bug reports and feedback to help improve this new land. Even the prophets created by the voxel deity known as Shattari could not of predicted such events but we'll make the best of it. -Pantera

    Organizational Propaganda

Today I finished up a piece of propaganda for us here at "Deleted." While finishing it up I had a rather interesting idea for something to start up on the forum. The idea is to create a place where anyone that wants to show off their skills in creating beautiful pieces of propaganda art! Anyone can submit, just refrain from anything not matching the conduct guidelines set out for us on the forum. Anyway henceforth I guess I will get the ball rolling. . . "Image Deleted" Meanwhile - Just have fun!
  3. I propose that a cad like software is put into the game so builders can build more advanced structures and ships. I think this should be done from a "cad bench" where the builder can use a cad program in game to make a blue print for a ship/structure. once the blue print is made a building robot (or robots) will then use materials to build the structure in the cad model. in the cad program the units will be in terms of Voxel size. for example if you put down a small core of 1 unit would be the side length of that core. As far as Parts, such as the core, motors... ect.. those could be elements that could be placed in the cad file as another part in an assembly. Adding cad for building would make many much more interesting structures and would be another area for players to specialize in. although cad is relatively complicated, it is not difficult to learn, and players who do not want to learn can still use the voxel system. Cad would be like LUA is, not all players can do it, but if you learn it you can do more. As far as the difficulty and system load of a cad program, I imagine that it would not be that difficult. Onshape is an example of a low load server based cad program. It is simple and can be run off of chrome yet it is extremely powerful. Limits can be put in place for size so a player cannot make a thousand super fine lines. In addition most elements in the game are 3d files so custom 3d files may be easy enough to render. If not a full fleged cad program then possibly tools such as, extrude, filet, champ-fer, loft, and rotate would be nice and would add a lot.

    3D cad STL to Voxel

Curves and complex shapes are hard to do in a voxel based building system. Although they make building much more simple for most, for many it will limit the creativity possible. Would it be possible to import cad files? if the cad file was in an Stl form it would be easy enough to transform via slicer a complex object into voxels. This would allow for increased market value for ships and structures that can be dynamically built with more complex shapes. Everyone has axes to cad. personally I use Onshape, a free cad that can be run on any computer with chrome. I think this could be very useful to builders.
  6. An in game Construct Creator would give designers the capacity to efficiently build, test, and iterate designs. This could be done in a way that utilizes current technology slated for development in the game. One method would be to use reformat-able zones. Players would spawn into these zones with a tool set similar to what is being implemented in pre-alpha. After the play session the zone is formatted.
