  2. the ability to "hail" a ship by text/voice/live feed of bridge would give the ability to exchange remarks, solve conflicts and open up the possibility of an alliance (yes I got this from star trek )
  3. Are "neutrality orgs" really neutral? After looking at some of them they feel more like their own political faction rather then a group committed to neutrality. While it can be argued that not taking a side is taking a side in and of itself, the term "neutrality orgs" becomes a misnomer. Abother facor impacting the orgs in question is given the general community's stance on in-game unsanctioned hostilities, these orgs may be forced to become military alliances against their wishes.
  4. Hi all, I've been a long time lurker here and decided to finally register to ask a question that's been bothering me. I understand that there's a lot, if not most of this game that isn't quite set in stone. There's a lot of questions I want to ask but I know most of then can't really be answered yet. What I do want to ask is about the so called "persistent universe". Now in the F.A.Q. it's a little vague about how it describes the way the universe functions. It is implied that it is infinite but it never directly says it either so I'm left unsure about how that will all work. I'm pretty in
  5. I remember a while back reading about the Bloodbath of B-R5RB, which was the biggest battle ever fought in EVE Online, occuring in early 2014 and consisting of thousands and thousands of ships from two opposing alliances fighting over a single system. Upon looking up these factions recently, I was intrigued to find that some of them apparently no longer exist. I then watched some related EVE videos, surfing comments, and found a really neat story of a guy who randomly met a pretty big faction leader and got invited to join that faction; someone else commented asking about the faction, but
  6. Hello, Humans! Since I've been away from the forum recently the community has grown substantially. Being slightly OCD, I thought it would be a good idea to chart the "state of affairs" of DU's organizations. I may periodically update the chart so current, and new, members can stay informed about the "big picture" of org development. Due to the rapid creation and abandonment of smaller orgs, I've only picked those with at least 30 members (smaller orgs will be considered upon request). As smaller orgs grow to that size and interact with others, I can add them too. Numbers beneath
  7. I believe this game should have a detailed political systems which can allow players to gain in-game ranks in an organisation, so your occupation would appear above your head but below your name and also i think allowing multiple political systems whether that be a monarchy, democracy or dictatorship etc would be a good idea. Furthermore I also have the idea of some sort of crime and punishment section as that would help enforce political might meaning inferior ranks within an organisation will obey their superior also I think experience, honour and accomplishments should determine if someone
