Survival element is not nonsense, where I agree that food and water is overkill (I men who wants to worry about food and water when there is a universe to concuer right?) but elements of extreme temperatures, toxicity etc. are not only more immersive, it also makes sense - no two planets are the same, they are different distances from the sun, have different composition, different atmosphere and so on. So haveing survival element dependant on enviroment is great. Haveing to eat a bowl of cereal before going to work in the mines is not fun at all.

There is nothing to argue about realy, once the rules come out we will know - end of story. And if it doesnot prohibit boxing I sure as hell will!

  5. Apart from a multiple negative statements you still fail to provide a valid argument, and then you get a personal card out "you are so bad at gameing" - how constructive. p.s. I have never ever said anything about being "fair" - it's and MMO you do not have to fight 1 vs 1

  7. Don't pick out one word out of the post you need to read the whole thing, you clearly do not whant to understand yourself what is said. There are always two towers to view things from... But hey let me spell it out for you: You will not need to travel between markets if both market characters are on the same account - you will just change the toon, with too accounts you can have them both at the same time without log in log out trouble, but still no need to travel! We don't know how the scripting will work but you might be able to have a perfect wingman with just drones or scripted ships. I do not see multiboxing giving massive advantage in fleet pvp in this game at this point.

  9. Multi boxing is not pay 2 win xD lol. Multiboxing in pvp is lame and makes aeasy target for non multiboxers thats for shure tahts why few people do that. But to have to log different character to say check a market on one side of the universe and then another istead of haveing them loged at the same time is riduculous. I do not understand why are there so many ppl trying to impose all sorts of limits sugesting ridiculous ideas. Ban multibox, favour the defending pvp side, make free to play... it feels that half of this forum don't even want DU, they want a minecraft mmo...
  10. Because multiboxers pay for all 5 accounts, it a win win for everyone. Not only it should allow multiboxing it should be muliboxing friendly.

  12. Lets just stop the QQ and sugestions about how to have less pvp, ALL of it is speculation and a lot of people get carried away. It will be open world free for all pvp, end of story. PVP zones and arenas are something that should not exist in new generation sanbox games... Why impose limits in limitless game? Less control is best control. There will be some safe zones and even a virtual test place to build for the sake of building, that should satisfy the desing and engineering bug we all here have. Pvp will help filter out the best designs, pvp is where legends are born. By the way with the sugested tag system it will be possible to create defensive organisations that can tag griefers/bullies as "red" for example, denie them access to organisations services etc. Oportunities are endless. Those organisations doesnot have to be guilds/corps/factions it can be a "treaty" against pirates or what ever. You will be able to set your defences to attack tagged people on site, track and report their locations and so on. There are literaly sooo many ways to tackle pvp just need a bit of creativity and it will ultimately make the game more satisfying, with real sence of achievement.
  13. Then it is not an exploit as exploit sugests cheating or other unfair advantage. Better designs or smarter codeing is not an exploit. I realy do not understand "not planned" because the whole purpose of the game is complete freedom. Players most certainly are not expected to created things that are invisioned only, they are expected to do farr and beyond, to exitement, inovte and create. The sole purpose of creating something no one else has is to have advantage.
  14. Vanishing in to thin air is what i think it should be imagine loging off in a ship for a month. After a bit you can have floor littered with 'ragdolls' of your comrades. And definately against being able to log off in cryochamber only, imagine you have to go afk while in a ship with nearset chamber 20 min away... it is a game after all.
  15. Well we do not know that yet. This is far in future and armor could be lights, could be reactive, could be active there is a lot off speculation. We just need to wait and see I think.
  16. Well pvp is a sensitive issue, I can see it being very sensitive in this game especialy. Imho there the only restriction should be the arkified zones- the rest of the world free for all. Because: The world sugested in this game is MASSIVE, I do not think a lot of you gave it much though how big "few million" planets universe actualy is. And planets being planet size (or close) you can most certainly hide prety well. Just think of a human size entrance at the side of a mountain under the trees... no one will see it from the air. Fortiefied bunkers and so on. The other thing is developers seem to be aiming at automating a lot of thing as it is apropriate for the sugested era of AI and robotics. So a small group of people could have super heavily fortified base with automatic defences. You can program perimeter defences, drone support all sorts realy. That will only need some carefull planning and strategy but once your outpost is set up you should be ok. The above examples given by fellow colonists I do not realy like, because it seems you were not ready! The game cannot protect you after certain point and it should not. But you can! Establish defences first, plan ahead and you will be good. I play eve in the lawless of eve spaces wormholes, pvp in null sec and pirate in low sec - it is not that bad, you just need to learn to adapt, and be smart about it. I do agree that what ever the "armor" or "reinforced" building material will be in DU it has to be tough, as it looks like damage will be applied to the area and not the whole structure at the same time. What is very cool by the way! p.s. I suppose a repair/builder bots could be something like "active tanking" in eve repairing damaged modules etc in fight.
  17. Unfortunately you completely missed my (and thread outhors) point, it is not for cryptocurrencies! Title is prety clear actualy. It is the system they are offering to handle in game transactions and so on. Nothing to do with bitcoin or dolar or any other rl currency...
  18. I am all for pay to play subscription model. It filters the community yet it is still affordable to everyone who wants. Also plex like system will allow someone to play for free if they choose to put work to it. Also great argument is continuous support, developement and mainenance of the game in years to come.
  19. Prety shure they are not talking about bitcoins and alike rl currencies. They way I understood this would be for ingame "things" purely.
  20. I love the idea of open transactions (for ingame currency only thow). The fact you could have smart contracts, different currencies, or just different valuables (equivalent of gold) traded is amazing. Also you can issue bonds etc. Not only you could have player banks with real bank like functionality but you could even set up a stock exchange of sorts!
