I think the challenge of designing around the limitations is part of ship building.  I think your description of the existing systems as limited only speaks to the limits of the builder's creativity.  A true craftsman can make excellent work with only simple tools.  It is the novice who needs a special tool, or an exception to every rule, to make a quality product.  This is why the ship creators are popular, because they used the existing tools to make great ships.  At a time,  jancko elements was one of the tools that was used.   To argue that a ship can not be built to the same quality without that tool is a reasonable position to take, but it's both subjective and irrelevant since the tool has been removed.   Many of my favorite ships in the game have zero "unbalanced" elements (see also, janko/clipped) and those ships perform outstanding and look terrific.  I think we should challenge ourselves with the tools we have.

The game is young and this will definitely not be the final form of ship building.  Maybe NQ finds a way to combine elements in a more sophisticated way?  Perhaps linking engines or stacking brakes as multi-element kits that are more aesthetically pleasing.  There are lots of cool things that could happen, but to say that you can't make good ships without this particular tool is untrue.  To play a physics based game and insist on physics breaking tools is just counter intuitive.  Of course there are form factors that are the most efficient.  Of course there are physical limitations to the different sized cores.  The things you say are obstructing creation are many of the same things that are fueling innovation.

*Elements Stacking is a bug, there’s no way around it. As a bug, especially one generating a lot of gameplay imbalance, it has to disappear at some point. *

So we should allow people to keep an unfair advantage because you like the way it looks.  Copy that.

Dual universe is first and foremost a sandbox game with content that players can determine themselves. To this end, more and more content is now being specified or restricted by NQ.
In the game itself, I recognise many different types of players who cannot always be pigeonholed, as there are many shades of grey and not just simple black and white effects.
What I can say from the surveys I have done so far in Discord is that the number of players in the pigeonholes varies. So my assessment:
80% of the players are PvE interested players who just want to build and have fun in the game, no matter if solo or in a community, no matter if it's industrial plants, voxelmancy, simple or complicated constructions, ships,.....in this 80% there are also about 25% players who support an ordered PvP, that is defined PvP areas that you can enter even if you "feel like it" yourself and not if you are forced to participate. (Comparable to World of Warcraft = battlegrounds and arenas).

20% are PvP players who like to fight, it doesn't seem to matter if it's good versus evil, pirates versus everyone else or other fairy tales. These are of course also divided into different categories, (with PvP zones or those who would prefer to dissolve all safe zones in order to turn DualUniverse into a gigantic theatre of war).

At the moment, NQ is focusing on putting a lot of PvP content into the game, which may be a thorn in the side for some players, but is certainly important for a small part of the player community, as we want to serve every pigeonhole and make everyone happy. So NQ will also deal with more PvE content later on - everything at the same time will not work.
What we players can do is show NQ together what content in Dual Universe is wanted by how many players and is reflected accordingly in the game. Apparently a PvE to PvP ratio of 80 to 20 of players doesn't seem to be in line with a player world of 20%Safezone to 80%PvPzone. So the 80% of PvE players here should ask NQ to balance the ratio of PvE to PvP content.

We should understand one thing as a community of players, no matter what interest we pursue in the game: Calling each other names doesn't help any of us, because new players are put off by a toxic community.
As far as behaviour and actions in the game are concerned, especially aggressive players should know that toxic behaviour will lead to players leaving the game and soon there will be no game anymore, because the small group of toxic players will not be enough to keep this game alive financially.
PvP can and should certainly take place, but at the moment it makes no sense to shoot and rob everything and everyone who wants to help build the game. This only frustrates players and they leave the game, so in the end everyone has lost.
Therefore, I have a request. Play together, stay friendly and above all human. I think we all want DualUniverse to be successful, and we players play a big part in that.

Doing updates is fine but we need CONTENT like asap. We need new solar systems places to explore etc a actual working market without Ore bots etc, working mission system, NPC's to fight etc the list goes on. On most days you can go into the discord and listen to conversation happening in the voice chats about the state of the game whats missing etc and we all have different opinions but the game in general is missing so much that it is hard to see the game finished. There is so many problems that we currently face along with WE NEED A WIPE as ore bots that keep getting reset has destroyed everything.

Sorry, but this is just the next iteration of "we heard you"

There is nothing substantial in this post, it does not commit to anything and just reiterates how NQ has failed to listen (which is not the same as hearing in case you wonder) to what their community is telling them.

That hey seem to think that much changed from Alpha is frankly very funny as they have just continued their attitude and ways from there with little to no change, that they seem to think or try to make the claim they did is probably the most worrying aspect of this post.

The proof wil be in the pudding here but based on the many previous attempts by NQ to spin their mistakes and shortfalls by not really taking ownership but pretend they will does not give me much hope for change.. But we'll see

The announcement is pretty much just a summary of all the things we have been saying and asking for the last couple of years.
Here is to hoping, this time it's for real.
