  1.

Time passing and fame rising, organizations start to multiply promotional material in hope of gathering new members and fidelizing old ones.

This is quite interesting to behold, as most of those are good work.

On a more personal (and less-than-neutral) note, though, I'm eager to see how all those supreme rulers with their orderly flock and ambitious doctrines will fare once we get to dip our ankles in the grease pit.

I sincerely wish them all the best.

Sure I speak for quite a few people when I say we are "ALL" looking forward to it. . .

  2. Here's a clip from the Kickstarter/crowdfunding video on the topic of taxes:

    (~10:40 into the video)

"At some point, it will be possible to create taxes on a territory so that you finance global defense systems or major infrastructures"

Oh do not forget yama - that it was stated that all transactions on the market will be able to be taxed by the trade hub's owner. - Another major revenue stream perhaps when you think about it. . .

Say you sell 100,000 items in a day. . .

    Each item costs 10,000. . .

The owner of the hub has a 5% tax on all sales. . .

Out of a 1,000,000,000 in transactions moving through that hub. . .

    You would make, exactly, 50,000,000. . .

Which considering you have done nothing other than operate, build, and maintain the infrastructure to draw in business is not exactly a bad profit margin.

Then there is the interview with JC done by DUE that he goes into some detail about a rental system for landing pads / territories, this would also perhaps be another fairly major source of income?

  3. I know for your more personal social economical structures to develop, this will have to be implemented. I can see it also encouraging people to do those very monatonous jobs that no one else has even the smallest desire to do simpily for the fact that the wages would be higher - just to keep a employee in that position hired and working. It also opens up numerous {RP} opportunities / jobs - for instance managers, to make sure their employees are actually doing the work that they are paid to do.

This is why, personally, I would like to see it implemented. Perhaps tied to a organizational bank or corporate wallet.

  4. Considering "EVERYTHING" is going to be player ran, odds are banks will arise, there will be the scams, then there will be the ones who have the decency to run a real operation. Personally, we at the ACS plan on the latter on our trade hubs.

First they would have to be proven legit, obviously, and not be "Dual Credit doublers! Totally legit, CHECK MY BIO!!"

But if they ain't, you could always blow up the bank...

Oh - and I would love to see ya try and blow up a in game bank - you would not only deal with the banks corporate holders, but everyone else that has items/currency stored there. . . Essentially you would be pissing off quite a few people. People that would more than likely fight to defend their assets.

  5. The reason why I highly doubt we will see full automation is due to the fact that there are script kiddies as well as other various parties out there that would abuse it to farm in game currency to fund cash to gold markets.

This however does not mean there will not later on the line be ways to harvest larger and larger amounts of minerals. In fact in one of the interviews with JC I remember it specifically being stated that Hand mining would only be viable for a certain amount of time, eventually there will be projects of such scale that they will be nearly impossible to maintain by just hand mining techniques. It is this that requires the addition of more advanced mining mechanics IE Drills or Mining lasers, of which has been stated in the aforementioned interview that they will consider to add to the game, later on in the development cycle. So I personally think later on in the game we will see some sort of incarnation of tool that lets us harvest minerals faster and more efficiently.

After all - hand harvested materials will be generally more expensive than bulk mined materials, however for a single miner to make cash you should have the ability to sell your "limited" amount of minerals to a larger buy order that is placed out for said item.
