  1. Yeah i kind agree with your point of view BUT

I dont think you get the whole picture here ...

    Ore prices went up

    BOOOM Natron 70 now 80+ lol at 150 prices ... WAS 50 -55 something

Gold went 900- 1000 plus BOOOM

    Hematite 38+ Alioth BOOOM

If people doing missions then there are less people mining and ore prices are going up.

If all of us "get paid " and half are producing then this causes an inflation and then new poor working people are the ones that hurt most  as they can buy less stuff with high prices.

Same thing happened and still happens in some cases with the pandemic. All people got paid somehow but only half were producing causing inflation and prices to go up.

Now as you may know mining units are coming and this may reduce ore prices and stabilize the market. But depends on how much ore will be extracted and how many people will do it.

As far as now mining is the king of quanta unless you have 20 accounts yeah. But after all if you can only buy THIN AIR out of your hard working quantas then it is not worth the effort .

This is the reason i think many people will turn to industry and make things they need for their selfs and not buying them from markets overpriced. Because they can mine and have the ore and then turn it into something usefull.

    YES BUT THIN AIR ?

  3. Hey friends ...

    Same problems for me...

When mining i get these errors :

    1) PENDING OPERATION - This happens when digging  ( A lot of that )

    2) INVALID CELL VERSION - This happens when you mine or dig ( More rare than first error )

    3) SERVER ERROR - This happens when mining  ( Changing position sometimes helps - More rare than first error )

    4) COMPUTING DATA - This happens when scanning for distance for ore to find it and no ore is present in the scanner . ( Waiting some time and then retrying is helpful  - Happens often )

Hope that helps devs aim to repair the game.

  4. 1) SSD is a must

    2) More than 16gb or ram would be great but 16 should be ok as other players also didnt have any problems and it was running fine.

    3) Pagefile is useless ( it was meant for windows xp) me thinkees

    4) Graphics card greatly improves gameplay ! The more memory the better but a lot expensive nowdays

    5) Set CPU core use at 2 cores in settings (custom)

    6) Market 6 loads a bit slow so dont count on that

    Hope that helps...

and org owners can set RDMS rights on the main org, its practically "infinite"

Yeah that way with RDMS rights its kind of infinite ...

What happens of that legate leaves the org?

Lol havent check that yet . I assume he gets a warning for cores before exit or cores gets abandoned or core ownership jumps to next legate  ...dunno

    Making 5 * 2 + 5 * 1 = 15 personal cores.

Tested ! LVL 4 can deploy 10 personal cores !So you have 2 free cores at start . So it is max personal cores = 17.

    5 hours ago, joaocordeiro said:

So an org can increase their core count by creating sub orgs.

Well not infinite ... Sub orgs cannot deploy org cores unless someone is legate in that org with the skills. If you already have 5 main orgs SOLO then you cant be in that sub orgs as legate and you cant place cores for that sub orgs. So maximum org cores a player can have SOLO is 5x275=1375 cores.

  7. You are all off sight !

Either this or either this ! NO .

NQ did it all right and will do all the right way .

Starting with safe environments ignited the economy industry and building . Gave players the chance to build their first ship and choose whether they risk it. As it is still now . Imagine there would be pvp from start everywhere then nothing will be produced traded and builded and you couldnt find elements to fight for pvp even . Industry requires a lot of materials to be transferred to a single location  from different places in order to deliver end products .So noone will settle a factory in an unsafe place risking his quanta.

Now as we proceed with the game in time and as far as we know NQ will make PVP more engaging in the future . Asteroids and space warfare will eventually bring more players to the battlefield for the materials and stuff they offer. Also remains to be seen if safe zones on outer planets will remain or vanish. So PVP will slowly get in the game more likely . But here are some factors you didnt consider :

One is if you win a battle and take massive loots you want to bring them to a safe environment and store them or sell them . Or big orgs will want to vomit their spoils of war into building . So there has to be a safe environment for that and not carrying it with you in your ship during pvp or risking them in an unsafe environment out in space . Otherwise whats the point of risking you ship in the first place . Even eve has stations where you DEPOSIT your valuable stuff.

And the other is industry ! Industry fuels the economy providing the basics for players . If there isnt a stable safe place to SETTLE your infrastructure then this will become difficult prices will rise and materials will be hard to collect in one place . And then you will probably wont find elements to build a pvp ship and go to fight for .

So PVP WILL be more interesting and the game will have an end goal to spend your money and risk them to gain more . Risk to get your hands in precious T4 and T5 materials (Asteroids and space warfare )and we all know all got some of that materials until now .  Do you think that ruined the game ? Of course not . You will always need more and more...That was just the initial amounts.

PVP is essential in the game because there has to be a sinkhole of quantas of course but in the other hand there has to be a kind of bank also (safe place) . So we must take PVP where it has to be at the exact spot on top of high end materials .That is what is going to happen . Thats the meeting point ... And thats fine !!!

    SEE YOU THERE !!!

people always want to go to market 6 & 7... FAIL!!

Well if you are new player when you go shopping to build your first ship you go to district 6 mostly to get the lowest price or the availability of all items required to build your ship. Also that time you count every quanta you have in your wallet so this makes most newcomers land there . Then they build their ship and dumb the old one there . That is the loop that creates this situation.

Also if you want to sell something at a bit more higher price then District 6 is must . Because there things are sold faster it is more likely to achieve a higher price on your sale. It is something like a central trade hub like other games have also for example like eve has jita 4-4 . Of course there are things that i didn't found been sold there but that is the minority of things.

If parked ships wouldn't allowed to stay there more than 1 day this wouldn't be a problem and would load faster for all of us. Or a dedicated server for that market that will load instantly everything present there but this costs some money so ....

I have mined until I cannot mine any more, designed ships, and now tend to leave the game for days at a time.

Me too ! I feel exhausted since i played 4 months  exactly continuously 16 hours a day or more... and now i feel exhausted i need some rest so i probably will be joining day by day or something but its not the content that made me so tired . It is that i tried to master the game so quickly and at some point i cannot play as i played before . If i rest for some time a week or two i think i will be able to come back and play more . It is a first person 3d game and that is hard sometimes for players like me it gets dizzy sometimes... I remember the time i ve built my first  large static core and when i climb up to 130 m i got dizzy its so realistic omfg !

Of course new things are welcome to come in DU that will spread the load of boringness ...

please don't take it the wrong way, but I think one player being able to have 120 tiles is a big problem for the game.

Of course i wont take it the wrong way  :D ! That is why we are here discussing things in a polite way and share our thoughts for a game we like.

Now as for the number of tiles a player can have i think is maybe a matter of luck ... I will explain :

As far as we know NQ is planning to keep the safe zone in Alioth madis thades circle. That comes from a statement from NQ in the 3rd part where they say there will be asteroids in safe zones with lower quality ore of course. So from this statement we get that this safe zone will probably stays there.

Also there is no statement that a tax based system will be implement on occupied tiles . And until now the number of tiles a player can have is subject to the amount of money they spent.

Take also in mind that mining units are incoming without also hearing any limitation for that makes me then have 2 thoughts :

    1) Large number tile claimers will be the next billionaires ( X number of tiles x 2.000.000 ore (minimum Alioth for example) x 25 price = 50 million per tile )

    2) Or they will be surprised by an upcoming change that brings limitations to this and this will no longer be an issue

Thats is why i said it is a matter of luck and i would say investment made claiming these tiles the only factor we have so far implemented . There is nothing else taking place .

I guess we need to wait for the patches that are coming to be able to say anything else about this.

But until now an investment of lets say 120 tiles is :

    1) Tile claiming amounts 64.000.000 ( 120 x 533.000 using org to claim them because of the character limitation on claiming.)

    2) 120 territory units  6.000.000 (strategically bought at 50k or less if you can)

    3) some fuel and a cargo ship

Now if you say me that if i invest 70 million in order to be able to receive an amount of aproxx 5-6 billion in the future then put me in for that ! Add the cost of mining units also ...

And then say i just lost a Large core ship in pvp worth 70 million if i loose my  investment .

In fact you dont really need to sell the ore if you are planning to build something big ! That is  why it is a double investment !

Also take in mind that if you wish to claim a large connected area within safe zone then Alioth is a must ! Everywhere i looked simply you cant have a large area in a connected way except Alioth.

I know that this is something some players will find is bad for the game but it isnt ! Alioth is occupied at 13,77% in present time which leaves plenty of room for new players to proceed. Unless we reach a number of 90% occupation i dont think there is a reason this is bad for the game.

I am not suggesting players to do that but it is something i took the risk and done it ...

    Luck Favors the Bold !!!

  12. I own 120 city tiles connected together on Alioth  (i have seen there are bigger areas than me).My dream is to build a big city . I have spent a lot of millions for that .I also spent a lot of time for that . I dont want Alioth to be a condested pvp area .  I am here to build on a persistent world not test my farming skills . And you wanna know what ?

I will definetely join a battle with a pvp org after i feel i want to pew pew but not risking my entire city for a guy who just subbed for the weekend . So Alioth madis thades circle safe zone needs to be that way . Make your pvp game far beyond to places that offer pvp material and good stuff BUT not my building progress cause if i knew that i wouldnt built it in first place ! YOU will not enjoy it also if that happens ... Persistent is the key !
